Actually quite not He isn't that good, much of his stuff can be learnt by a begginer (I litteraly started guitar playing Morello and Cobain lmao) He is not a technical guitar player His solos aren't that impossible And his riffs are really quite easy to catch up And that's what I like about his stuff He isn't a technical guitar player, for sure But he have a freaking great groove, and daaaamn he sounds cool
@@barkingkade7407He's not a Hendrix in solos, but he could do that if he wanted and still drops jaws for his unique style solos. He uses many power chords, but the quality of the riffs he unloads lifts entire stadiums to a mosh pit. I haven't seen any new guitarists do that or do better than him since the '90s. But good luck to you starting out to match him eventually in your guitar adventures. Let's hope you do.
Im not a guitar player, i play bass. But technical or not, easy or hard, Tom morello created a lot of awesome shit. I dont care how he does it, how he play, it just sounds fkg great
Coming from a nobody on the other side of the world, I often wonder if the people at these concerts, honestly realise how truly special the moment is that they are witnessing?
That was awesome! Tom is a genius. I only know a few who you recognize immediately from their unique sound. I was digging the bassist too, but barely caught a glimpse. A funk bass is so much fun to watch. Thanks for the vid. Awesome!!!
For the lazy and those who wonder which riff is in order and where it's from: Bombtrack & Know Your Enemy / Rage Against the Machine's self titled album Bulls on Parade / RATM's Evil Empire Guerrilla Radio & Sleep Now in the Fire / RATM's The Battle of Los Angeles Cochise & Like a Stone with CC vocal playback / Audioslave's self titled album Lucky One with K.Flay / Tom Morello's The Atlas Underground

I have difficulty understanding this. Many people have heard Morello's whammy pedal before but for some reason when he does the Like a Stone solo people react as though it's the first time they've ever heard it.
It's a simple solo with a simple wah peddle but you can't help the feeling music gives you. If you never had the fortunate experience of a piece of music giving you goosebumps I hope you do sometime in your life. When you feel that feeling, it still hits you the same way even if you've heard it many times, or it's been years since you heard it. I try to keep a playlist of all the songs that actually do physical things to me just by listening to it, goosebumps, crying etc. I can hear the like a stone solo or "your time has come" solo and get chills every time. I know it's coming, which makes it even better.
greetings and ❤️ from Indonesia 🇮🇩 🙏🙏 and good health to all of us ... I am very happy personally to be able to make amazing new friends ... if only I could chat directly and face to face ... make new friends through my YT Channel.. may we all be healthy and successful always 😄✋RATM legends
Think is just the actual bass amps cutting through more being so close to them where the camera is or possibly the bassist wanting more bass in his stage monitor. Personally I think a little bit more of tom cutting through would be nice but you get what you get and this sounds much better than the usual where the bass is non existent in video recordings. Best spot to stand in a crowd is right next to the sound engineer.

@@juliette6112 Tom Morello is an acquired taste. Either you love him or don't. I feel the same way you do about him as a guitar player.
