How To Escape The Head & Arm Choke | Submission Grappling Escapes
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- Don't get caught in head and arm chokes...or any submission, for that matter. But, since it is inevitable that you will get caught, it is important to have late escapes, as well as early ones. This video details the sequence of escapes and the procedure for applying them effectively to counter the head and arm choke.
Always be as safe as possible in training and competition. I hope these details help. Thanks as always for watching!

I have watched many videos from U, probably all, and I have learned loads and loads of things. I just wanted to say THNKX, It really means a lot that a guy like me who has never taken a class or fought in an organization can learn all these things because of a person such as yourself. Hope U realize how much help U truly provide to us who do not compete. I'm not a comment type of person so I am being very sincere when I say THANK YOU for your work
I appreciate that more than I can say. Truly means the world to hear that. Thank you.
Thanks! You’re contribution to the BJJ community is priceless
That means so much to me to hear that. Thank you.
I normally get submitted by this position but thanks to you I might now find a way out of it. Thanks.
Me too
I will try that rocking escape. I have used the elbow one for a while and seems to work well with a reversal. But the rocking one looks interesting.
Appreciate this channel!
I think “answering the phone” would’ve been a quick one to cover as well. Not the greatest by any means, but the most simplistic for surviving(at least for five more seconds lol).
Answering the phone is what gets me caught in this shit all the time
I like that you show gow to get out I've submitted many w this choke. Now I can defend I 🤔 think..
Dude that I partner up quite a lot with always does that to me, and at some point I started getting annoyed cause I always end up in that shitty position when rolling with him. Today it happens that we go to no gi together, so hopefully I can pull some of this stuff out. Thanks!
Did it work? Lol
Nicely demonstrated
Pure gold!
Wow thank you, I’ve been getting caught in this submission a lot recently
Incredible technique ✊🥋!!
That was a dope escape I always get caught in my friends head arm and could never escape. Tried it and was out first try
Nice! Glad to hear that!
Time to time again always making amazing videos! Thank you for your knowledge, time, and passion!
Got caught the other day in an arm triangle, was wondering what my escape options were. My bjj has progressed hugely in a matter of months since discovering this channel👍🏻
Happy my videos help! Thanks!
@@KnightJiuJitsu they've more than helped. My fellow white belts keep asking me how i'm suddenly so dominate against them. All i do is point them your way. Thank you very much eli🤜
How does the UA-cam algorithm know an old out shape guy tapped me with this last night???
Really great video here Eli! Love the methodical, understandable explanations here!
Ever since that reel, people have been escaping my arm triangle a lot more. 😒 😅🤣
Sorry-not-sorry 🤣
Charles olivera needs to watch this 😂
-C-clamp
- Use c-clamp hand to hold behind leg and Rock up
- Roll back into kesetaktami
- bring traped triceps behind opponents head
backstrocke
This is one of the positions that whenever you ask how to escape everyone laughs at you, says.. Just don't get yourself in that position. I had to learn it on my own. I use a different version. Rock on 🤘
Nice 👍 you are the best 👍🖒
Thanks my friend!
Thats crazy, really nice options. I shall keep these in mind next time the lights start to turn black 😁
I’m here because I got caught in one of these today. I can’t wait to apply these techniques! Awesome tutorial and very concise! Thank you!!! New sub unlocked
Ah Eli Knight the Jiujitsu answer to Harry Houdini! Maybe “jiudini”
Haha, I like it
Hmmm? I like… I like.🧐🤙🏿
Trank you
👍👍👍
Very utile stuff.
I tore a guys bicep who tried to put me in a choke once. He won't be choking anyone anymore
This was just used in the UFC tonight by Yan against Dern!
YT be watching my rolls. I needed this rn 😂
Rip to the wall
I'm 40. I'm out of shape. I smoke. I eat fatty foods. My endurance is garbage. I still snatch the souls out of men half my age because of techniques like this.
Doubtful
At the end of the day it's all about techniques.
Same except I suck at BJJ and drink liquor. 😂
How long have you had your brown belt?
This is awesome, thank you
Thank you for the lesson.
Ju jitsu is really hard for me
I am working on the Head and arm lock which is this choke just a nice way of saying it. I really nvr knew the escape of this from the standing position or ground and now ill will incorporate this...Thanks...by chance do you have a counter standing to this
Thanks eli
Very awesome!
Awesome as always!
Great lesson!
What's the counter to the counter? 👀
Timing 🤷♂️
First comment
And always dumb.
Love from Afghanistan
👍🏽
what about kesakattamie?
First escape didn't work if they shuck their weight forward as they come to the side
The best way is to try & sneak your knee in as they come to the side to regain half guard. You can still get thrown to the side tho. When they do that you can do a reverse roll. If I remember I'll be make a video for you when my rib heals in a few weeks
Also I promise I'm not talking out my butt. I taught this move at B-Team last night month. Videos of part of it is on my IG
