Bongzilla with each new release, their sound becomes heavier, denser and more elaborate in terms of riffs, drums and song structure. This Album In My Humble Opinion. It's the best thing they've released!

I haven't really heard this band, so I'll have to give this album a listen. Thanks for the review Pete.

Appreciate the review, Pete, and will be giving the album a full listen over the next few days. Listened some excerpts of three or four songs and your description sounds right on point - no surprise. Not a tremendous fan of the vocals at this point but like all weekly reviews, deserves a full listen. Another great group of review shows this week Pete. Thanks as always.

What’s crazy is that this isn’t even their heaviest album, the riffs on gateway and apogee were meant to shatter planets. Granted this album still goes very hard

Huge stoner metal fan. But beyond Gateway, Bongzilla never did much for me. I find Weedeater to be a superior band if you're looking for something similar.

These guys have a real purity to what they do you have to applaud. Not crazy about the vocals, but they`re used sparingly so not a deal breaker.

Exactly. I think if these songs were more vocal oriented it would temper my enjoyment of them.

great heavy riffs but the vocals sound like a sountrack for the Walking Dead?

Marijuana - Fun to listen to bands influenced by it but for me, I won't consume it. If one does it responsibly, more power to them.

I wonder if Pete dabbles in the
    herb listening to fuzzy tunes?

Hey, Pete. Wondering if you'll be reviewing the Starcatcher album from Greta Van Fleet that came out a few weeks ago?

Hmmm. Sounds like this album could break either way for me. Hope it's on You Tube.

Damn thank goodness I wasn't listening to them when I was very young 😅

I love this genre but Bongzilla has never been my bag. Nothing wrong with them per say, just don't do much for me.
For me the vocals are a detractor. Music is decent, but I've never been a big fan of the growly vocals. I know, some
of you love 'em. Different strokes .....

Dabs I think is a type of marijuana product that young people use.

I find this album to cross the threshold of sludge to where it's so slow it bores me. And the screaming vocals don't work for me in this context. I find that's the case with most bands who work "weed-type" words into their band name and song titles.
