Ur true. Kamal hasan has a special place n our heart. He mostly started in Malayalam than Tamil i think. And i feel he can connect with Kerala culture and he used to improvise and explored different stories and styles n Tamil movies. Those movies wre celebrated n Kerala as well . Moreover malayalis used ti enjoy Tamil movies for decades. Wishing success for Tamil movies and Tamils 🤗

@@nonpartisanrealist7075 you are correct. Kamal Hassan is a legend. Who says he is not. But for keralites Kamal comes after Mohanlal mammootty. that does not say that Kamal is not legend. In acting these three are equally legends. Every quality film maker in India would be Kamal fan. and certainly it's tribute to Kamal Hassan. But it was not made to give tributes to Kamal Hasan. Story was about guna so organically happened. And in Kerala people watch Tamil movies a lot unlike Tamil people watch malayalam movies.

Sir in Kerala we watch all kinds of movies from all around the world. But we were watching Tamil movies from our childhood, malayalies watch all Tamil movies which were released, so Tamil movie stars who act well have huge fan following in kerala also. We respect them. In the Kamal Hasan case he also did a lot of Malayalam movies. Moreover he is a guest so our stars and our event team and other celebrities will be concerned about his comfort.
Wanted to say the same giving respect to a legend guest. I don't know why they don't get this.

How is manjummal boys is with unknown artists? Soubin shahir is a Big name ande he already have Multiple Blockbusters and super hits as a Hero. Also sreenath bhasi is a Big name too. With Director Of Janeman music from sushin shyam. Dop is shyju khalid. Manjummal boys already had hype before they started the shoot..
Maybe Tamil industry works different and they don't care about the technical crew and all.

I have a different analogy towards the success of Manjummel Boys and why Kerala Cinema is being celebrated and the comparisons drawn against Tamil cinema.
Audience in Kerala has been exposed to masala entertainers and content driven cinema from the beginning. Be it Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas combination, Mohanlal-Priyadarshan, masala movies of Mammootty and other super stars. At the same time, content driven movies like Thanmatra, Kazchya, old Padmarajan/Lohitha das, Bharathan movies. While Tamil cinema has delivered standout master class movies, there are three reasons why Tamil Cinema sees a dearth in content and rich in glamour.
a. audience never accepted their stars in different roles. When Rajnikanth tried something with Kuberan (remake of Katha Parayumbol, it flopped. Though the story was completely tailored for him which resulted in the failure. Earlier perspective of fans was to see their actors only in heroic roles and for them it became difficult to connect to common roles they would have wanted to attempt.
b. Now post pandemic, audience was exposed to different quality content and Tamil audience gradually lost the ability to sustain anymore item numbers/low quality content hence movies from other industries are appealing to them.
c. Big production houses like Sun Pictures are not ready to put their money on content movies. Tamil cinema is still driven based on star power & production houses. It is soon going to become like Bollywood if the same continues.
Lastly, is a Rajnikanth or Vijay or Ajith ready to take up challenging roles at this stage in their career? Or they still want to chase bikes, hit 100 men at once, dance with ladies half their age? If I can see anyone experimenting in Tamil Cinema it is either Kamal Hasan or Vikram or Suriya/Karthi to an extent.

What is he talking about? Premalu also they didn't give. It's what good Malayalam movies usually do, because then only they can bargain the rates after getting good reviews. Premalu, manjummal all had hype before the release and both of them are from big production companies and by good technical team.

Worth watching in theatre or not is an important factor to pull the audience. There are many movies we watch.. but only a few movies gives that theatre experience. After a watching a movie audience should say- don’t wait for OTT release, Watch it in theatre .. that is where a true success of a movie lies

But he makes up for it with facial expressions & being natural.
Kamal's acting is more like prosthetic variety & few template expressions AND he is too short & he always uses camera tricks to camouflage his dwarfness.
I find Mamooty acting best among 3 - he has the body & flexibility & expressions.
Only thing he fails is, choosing more bad scripts.

In Malayalam, another valid point is association of talented and proved technicians, like script writers, directors, DOPs, musicians for a movie in which they are not working. Taking suggestions eachother in their works are making their works more polished. Even experienced actors are giving inputs, which the directors are ready to accept.

On a same perspective the incident happens in Tamilnadu and we cant make a movie where everone speaks Malayalam! Keep those supremacy sticked on your brain away for some time !!
