I just ordered my first full canvas. Ordered it on Amazon. It was inexpensive. 1/4 way through…realized not nearly enough drills. You get what you pay for. I ordered another one from an American company with great reviews and much more expensive. I want a kit that I can enjoy and have what I need. Lesson learned. Waiting on my new canvas. So excited to get it. I am going to lookup your company.
Thanks for another great video. I use a strip of parchment paper because otherwise my canvas would be full of fur or full of my skin when I stick to it. Maybe Nataliya could talk in one of her videos about poured glue if she hasn’t already and about why Dreamer Designs canvases never have rivers, but other canvases do. Maybe she could talk about how to fix them.
Another great video! Well done Nataylia! No, I've never used wax paper! I usually just go with what the company sends me and stay with that. I did get a DP from another company that has a clear cover, but she sent squares of the white cover paper which I thought was cool and I could use over the entire canvas if I wanted to. Shortage of drills...for the life of me, I cannot figure out why we would be shorted from any company. Seriously! How much can it cost to add more plastic diamond drills! I realize it's a manufacturer thing and a process, but set the machines up to make a little more! Better than having to ship out more and pay that cost! LOL! Something I probably will never understand. I've not had too much problem with this so far. I have a site I order my diamonds from when I'm short. Do I like paying extra for them? No, but they ship from USA and they are fast and somewhat low priced and I like that. They are the same shimmer and color as Dreamer Designs so I love that too! DD did right by me though when I was missing a lot of drills on When September Ends. Sent me a whole new canvas and there were enough for both me and my daughter to complete our paintings. I ended up giving the extra canvas to her because she wanted to do one so bad and can't afford them. I was very happy with that, but really only needed the missing diamonds. Great tips and tricks as always!
Wow awesome thanks for sharing!! Yes these experiences are so common among the community. Sometimes there can be errors with the manufacturing, we have set it up to be 20% more diamonds than you need but as you experienced even this can go wrong 1% of the time. Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Dreamer Designs :)
I'm sorry it happened to you but it was at the same time good to hear that other people have had the experience where you run out of drills & the company sends you more of that colour but it ends up being the wrong shade!!! Even though it's the same DMC colour!! I hate when that happens. You have to put that DP away until you can find the correct colour somehow down the track.
Love your videos have many I have order but didn't do square yet wanted to ask what is the difference more shine on round I think and square more details.really want to do square any advice will help.thank you have a bless day
If you are working with a Dreamer canvas we offer lifetime warranty on all of our kits. This is to ensure our DreamTech adhesive is performing its best! Please contact customer support at support@dreamerdesigns.com if you are experiencing any issues with your glue :) Thank you!
Are rivers and bubbles more likely to occur in canvases with a paper cover? I haven’t had one yet, but I’m getting an important 40x50 and I need to know how to deal with them if it’s likely to happen.
Yes they more commonly occur with paper covers because these kits tend to come from aliexpress/amazon and are folded or scrunched in the packaging. There is no real fix for air bubbles because most of the time the diamonds still wont be able to sit properly even with some fixes. You can try to slice the air bubble open with a box cutter and press it back down to release the air underneath. Good luck and happy painting Lindsey!
What do you do if your kit comes with round drills and they are all different sizes in the same color. Min e came with midget drills and it didn’t fill the whole circle.very frustrating!
thanks for videos. but you did not tell what to do if there are a shortage of drills for first timer ? you are giving and comparing companies brands if shortage of drills. And indeed, first timer would not have any leftover drills from another painting or not able to order drills from the same site. you were using leftover drills from another painting , but what if there are no leftovers nor any orders. pls reply. I am doing for the first time, just ordered a peacock diamond painting.
If you ever run out of Diamonds you should always contact the seller and they should send you enough to complete the painting. This includes Dreamer Designs! Sometimes manufacturing millions of diamonds means there could be mistakes here and there but as long as the company sends you the missing drills everything should run smoothly :)
Dreamer Designs has the best customer service and they have the best rules by far than any company I’ve ever worked with
Drills not rules

I only buy cheap ones and I haven't had any problems with missing drills

Thank you for all your tips. They are very helpful as I'm a beginner.
I actually work by colour myself. Thanks for all the tips.

I saw you use a putty type glue instead of the wax for the placer. Could you tell me what it was, the name of it. TY
It may be the sticky blue tack. It is used to hang pictures and can be found at a dollar store or local craft store :)
Multi faceted surface is on top
How do you tell the top from the bottom of square drills? Or does it make a difference?
It does not make a difference which side :) They should all be in perfect exact shape

Dont worry about this, I've always seen these sets come with extra of every color! This prbably won't happen.
This is just an advertisement.
Excellent tips as always @natalyia @lovecraftforever
Thank you Bonnie!!
