You are absolutely correct. A lot of people don't know or believe in mental illness. It's real and it sucks. That's where the 'drugging' came from. Apparently there were not any proper med's for her.

No it's what happens when mental health is stigmatized and those with disorders are demonized. As someone who is bipolar who has struggled with addiction, Carrie was a light in a dark tunnel. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who love her and your hatred can never change that.
