  • MMA H.E.A.T. brings you UFC President Dana White's UFC 167 post fight scrum, which took place immediately after the post-fight press conference. Dana tells us why he believes Johny Hendricks won the fight against reigning Champion Georges St-Pierre, discusses the "personal problems" GSP alluded to after his fight and lets us know his thoughts on a rematch. In addition, Dana answers questions about: Chael Sonnen fighting at 205 lbs, Robbie Lawler's win over Rory MacDonald, whether he thinks Josh Koscheck should retire, the idea of Donald Cerrone dropping to 145 lbs, celebrating the UFC's 20th Anniversary with Hall Of Fame fighters, MMA in NYC and much more.

    GSP was mad Hendricks didnt get decent test for the fight .
    Watching Hendricks last fight the guys lost is power , cardio , octogone activity .
    Coincidence with UFC starting beter testing ? I dont think so !

    Now tell me how did he won clearly?!
    Takedowns: GSP 3 / Hendricks 2
    Head punches landed: GSP 47 / Hendricks 56
    Body punches landed: GSP 26 / Hendricks 3
    Leg hits landed: GSP 28 / Hendricks 22
    Total hits landed: GSP 101 / Hendricks 81
    Total hits attempted: GSP 125 / Hendricks 127
    Percentage hit accuracy: GSP 83,4% / Hendricks 60,8%
    GSP is amazing. He fought Hendricks standing up the whole time, and i think nobody expected that... On top of that he is the champion who landed more punches with far better accuracy and finished the last round stronger.... Why should he lose?!
    People who say he lost are just tools who see his bloody face and have no idea how they score in MMA.

    I don't know. The more you look at the fight, the more it looks like GSP could've won. When you watch it live, you get caught up in how damaged GSP was in round 1. He landed more significant strikes than Johny in Rd1 and he did get that takedown. It basically comes down to round 1 because pretty much everyone scored the other rounds the same. Not saying GSP definitely won but I think it's a lot closer than people make it out to be.

  • @MrKAHutch
    @MrKAHutch 10 років тому +28

    GSP retiring is the most exciting thing to happen to the welterweight division, since he tapped to strikes from Matt Serra. That said, in the Johny fight he was forced to fight exciting and showed a ton of heart.

    I know a lot of people won't agree with me, but in MMAs, in order to dethrone a champion, you need to showcase dominance or get a finish. I watched the fight again 2 times and saw that the judges were right on the dot with the scoring. GSP landed more and had more takedowns. Sadly for Hendricks, damage isn't a scoring factor in the competition. When I saw it live, I was sure that GSP would've lost. As for Dana. I really hope that he reaches out to some sort of therapy to help control his tongue. I enjoy watching him react to certain things, but sometimes he's just plain ol' stupid. The guy needs to be a professional EVEN when he's pissed off. He seemed more like a pissed off high school student rather than the face of this massive organization. Imagine if Roger Goodell (NFL) came out and acted this way whenever a referee blew a game. No one would take him seriously and I think it's getting to that point for me personally.

    • @howkinator
      @howkinator 10 років тому +3

      "damage isn't a scoring factor in the competition"
      Last time I looked it was scored on effective striking, the key word being effective. How much damage someones striking does is how effective it is it definatley is supposed to be a factor in scoring. What isn't a "scoring factor" is number of strikes landed. GSP looked like he'd been hit by a bus, Hendricks looked fine. I think that shows whose striking was most effective.

    • @withmeuntiltheend
      @withmeuntiltheend 10 років тому +2

      Its kind of like baseball. Sure, a home run looks great, but the team with the most at bats and runs is probably going to win.

      @withmeuntiltheend 10 років тому +4

      And if you made it a damage thing for scoring you'd find lots of guys with tissue damage and sensitive skin losing loads of fights. I've seen guys with welts, cuts, bruises and stuff all based on a few hits.

    • @jorelynpaligsa6448
      @jorelynpaligsa6448 10 років тому +2

      ...actually Josh...."damage is a factor." Just because they don't come out and admit it, shouldn't leave you fooled into thinking that it's not a factor. Ur comment is innocent, but it's also as naive as suggesting that people don't value physical beauty on planet earth.

    • @withmeuntiltheend
      @withmeuntiltheend 10 років тому +2

      Jorelyn, I'm not fooled by anything. If you've ever done MMAs or have scored a fight and seen a scorecard, then you'd know how professional judges score the fights. There's nothing naive about it. Fighters have scarred tissue and sensitive skin. I'm not going to take away from Hendricks, because he was a beast, but someone like GSP who has been fighting the BEST for years and years is going suffer from scarred tissue and skin. Some fighters even end up with huge welts after one punch. Would you find it fair if Hendricks landed 1 solid punch that didn't knock GSP out and GSP landed 6 strikes, but Hendricks won? Your comment is the victimized one, my friend.

  • @gameVStruth
    @gameVStruth 10 років тому +12

    GSP should retire. He doesn't want to fight against fighters on steroids anymore. The choice is hurt your own body with steroids or have someone like Hendricks juice in his camp and be twice as strong on fight night and bash your head in. Stay retired bro, you are too good for this situation.

      GSP is just as likely as Hendricks to be on roids. Neither guy failed their drug test so stop reaching for bullshit to justify your opinions. I think Hendricks got robbed but he left it in the judges hands. Now it's up to GSP he owes Johny Hendricks a rematch and if he retires it will be a black cloud over his career forever.

    • @chrisg6241

      your an idiot. neither guy is on steroids. many, however, are.

    • @gameVStruth
      @gameVStruth 10 років тому +2

      GSP voluntarily did VADA testing to verify he wasn't juicing during training (which most fighters do actually including GSP in the past I am sure). Hendricks weaseled out of it and so he could juice during training and and stopped steroids right before the fight so he would be clean on fight night. He still had a significant power advantage from cheating that almost led to him KOing GSP.

    • @gameVStruth
      @gameVStruth 10 років тому +1

      *****
      I agree. He has obviously stopped doing steroids like all his other opponents. He hoped to start a trend with VADA testing to ensure people don't juice during training, but Hendricks was more interested in winning than being clean and saw this as an opportunity to win by being the only fighter on steroids. GSP was technical enough to get a decision despite being at a tremendous physical disadvantage. He realizes there is no way to compete clean in the UFC and is done.

    When I first saw it live, I thought that Hendricks should have won. I just watched the fight a second and third time and being as emotionally detached as possible: the judges got it right. Rounds 1-3-5 were GSP's, rounds 2-4 were Hendrick's: GSP won the fight. watch it again as if you were a judge and I'm confident you'll come to the same conclusion...

    • @chrisjones7111

      Chris Jones Totally agree with you guys. I had £150 on Hendricks to win and at the end of the fight was screaming at the telly as it seemed like a total con. I then watched it back again and sure enough I can see how the judges would give GSP 1, 3 and 5. Round 1 could be 50/50 but 3 and 5 seem clear cut. Hendricks only has himself to blame and as Dana always says you should never leave it in the judges hands - the guys seemed to be coasting in the 5th which was daft.

    I think Dana is only so adamant about the scoring because he is mad at GSP's post fight comments. I gave George the fight 48-47 with him winning rounds 1, 3, and 5. Dana thought he only won the 3rd which goes against almost everyone. I think once George agrees to the rematch, Dana will come out and say after re-watching the fight it was closer than he originally thought.

    Very well stated Orwell. Plain and simple. If u want to be the best, u gotta beat the best. Just cuz u hurt him more doesnt mean u beat him, just means u hurt him. Its scored on grappling and strikes, not on "damage". Gsp won overall. I gave him 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Hendricks took 2nd and 4th. Thats my opinion

  • @dannyzee4
    @dannyzee4 10 років тому +5

    GSP getting battered more over the course of the fight means nothing. It's down to who won more rounds, and GSP took 3 rounds. Hendricks did a lot of damage but it was all in the 2 rounds he won (2nd and 4th rounds). If you have a problem with GSP winning then complain about the scoring system, but not about the individual fight verdict. This isn't Pride FC where they scored fights as a whole.

      GSP did won this fight.Hendricks should have gone for the killing but he was afraid of loosing gaz he goes for an economy fight. GSP stayed active troughout the five rounds, controling the center of the ring. GSP is the champion so it was up to Hendricks to put pressure on GSP. Even Hendricks hit harder, he didn't hit as much. Like Dana said, Hendricks put the fight into the judge's hands, huge mistake.

    I hate when people judge a fight by damage you can't win a fight by how much damage you do on someone unless you knock them out. Hendricks hits like a truck and some fighter cut and bruise easier than others and hendricks said GSP's strikes weren't that hard. his strikes may not of been hard but he landed more if you land more strikes than your opponent you win the fight. everybody is judging it from how hard hendricks hits and how messed up GSP's face was instead of seeing how many strikes were actually landed. look at the fight from a technical angle instead of a brawlers view point.

    When I saw the fight last night, the first round about 20 seconds in when GSP took Hendricks down he had Hendricks in a choke and right before he rolled up and let go Hendricks Tapped 3 times on GSP's thigh and the ref could not see it but that was as soon as GSP let go. But other than that Hendricks whooped his ass and had more control but GSP was the more active and busy fighter.

      Kirk Bushell Rewards them greatly? I would'nt say that, it's the case for the top fighters, but the other guys that fight for 15 000 are doing the exact same thing as the champions but get peanuts. It's logical since it's the top fighters that brings the viewers, but Dana White does'nt reward greatly a lot of fighter. The UFC is almost a monopol and that is rarely good, especialy when you got someone thinking about money before the fighters like White.

Look @ Hendrixs' face, now look @ GSP's face. Hendrix pressed GSP up against the fence & took it to his legs (knees) took him down at will, G&P'd him & had top control after scoring the takedown for just about the whole fight. It's nothing new, in almost every full contact combat sport a hit is awarded with a point, and if both fighters still stand after the last gong, the winner is the one who has more points, since it means he is better at this sport. And MMA is a sport not street fighting, so the main point is not to check which one is stronger, but who is better at martial arts. If you wanna know who is the best athlete, as in stronger, faster, more agile you watch the wrong sport, you should watch athletics. You don't get points for being a better athlete in MMA, you use your atheticism to get more points or to finish the fight.
      It's another thing that derived from boxing, you can knock my ass down twice in the first round, but if I stand up and win most of the next rounds, you loose.
      After what Hendricks said, in my old boxing gym, he would have a new nickname "70" for the rest of his life. 70% LOL.. if you want that title so bad, you go at 110% for 6 rounds. He had the fight in his pocket, and he still lost, I guess you can say he's a 30% champ and a 70% chump. :P

      ***** Yea because that's what GSP regularly does, he hits guys so hard that it sends them into "another level of unconsciousness". Georges St.Hendrix, isn't that his real name? The FOX Phantom cam highlights show one thing about that fight. They show the few strikes that GSP landed on Hendrix. They do not show Hendrix hammering away on GSP (elbows to the head in the 1st round, The left that staggered him in the 2nd round. The G&P elbow that split him open under his right eye etc...) GSP was ROCKED more than a few times by "effective strikes" from Hendrix. Hendrix was nowhere near rocked @ any point in that fight.

    I truly believe the worst damage that really affected gsp was when he had his head down trying for a take down and Hendricks landed tons of heavy elbows right to the side of the head. That part of the ear affects equilibrium and he wasn't the same after. I believe that was first round or early 2nd.

    Dana only gave round 3 to GSP! That's crazy , round 5 is unquestionably GSP which means only round 1 is on the balance. Given that Hendricks tapped out after 20 s. the round has to go to GSP. Result 3-2. Even though GSP looked more damaged the scoring system puts him ahead. It is not a pretty face contest where the guy that look best has won. GSP had more heart than Hendricks. Johnny can go on saying to everyone that he looked best and won the fight but at the end he couldn't do much. He doesn't deserve to be a Champion. Dana forgot is favorite quote " don't leave it in the hands of the judges."

      Very close and it does all come down to the first round.
      GSP landed a solid takedown, a submission attempt and a headkick. Hendricks did damage with elbows - though they were to counter a TD attempt against the cage by GSP. Hendricks also got a TD - though it wasn't a power takedown. Very tough round to score.
      No doubt Hendricks did more damage, but never enough for an 8 point round, and he made the fatal mistake of taking his foot off the gas in rounds 3 and 5.
      I don't really blame the judges, it's just one of those fights where the 10 point must system doesn't work very well.

      Yeh, i had it about the same, i could see round one going either way (personally thought Hendricks stole it) so i wasnt TOO shocked by the decision
      But it's like Joe Rogan said, it's insane that you can have 2 rounds that are both 10-9 when GSP just barely won one, and Hendricks CLEARLY won the other. It's the fault of the scoring system in place

    • @enesog

      phoenixsplash135 He didn't CLEARLY win at all. It was a close fight. Hendricks had ALL the tools but he did nothing out of it. He should have tried to knock gsp out and pressure gsp as he did against Condit if he realy wanted to win this fight. Not ONE SINGLE time did Hendricks try to knock GSP out neither did he pressure him AT ALL. Dana can kiss my ass. He is a liar. If he realy wanted whats fair, he would have complained about the Jones Gustfasson decision. But he didn't. He said Jones WON ?! He is a hypocrite.

      enesog Seriously? Then how did GSP's face get so jacked up? If Hendricks is applying pressure, landing more punches, hitting harder, doing more damage, not taking any damage, how can you not give him the rounds. He clearly won 2, 3 and 4. When you score a fight you should always ask yourself a simple question, who would you rather be when the round ended? Which fighter appeared to do what they wanted to do and which fighter appeared to come up short? You really think GSP accomplished more in rounds 2 thru 4? Did you not notice the swelling and cuts on his face that seemed to grow every round? And to prove what im saying, did you listen to GSP after the fight saying he was so rocked during the fight he couldnt remember what had happened. But Whatever...

    The UFC roster is sooo full right now. In the past few years, they added two more divisions and absorbed strikeforce. Maybe if Dana supported some of these people's decisions to retire instead of holding on to them to make ppv's with big names, there would be more room for upcoming talent, instead of forever recycling the guys we've been seeing since UFC 80. I think GSP and Koscheck (and others) are ready to retire. Just my opinion.

He can retire with that split decision and just be forever remembered for his bullshit last fight which was far more controversial than Jones / Gus. Dana White is just pissed that Hendricks got robbed. I respect that more than anything.

      It is a fighters decision when to hang up the gloves, in rare cases someone like Chuck Liddell has to be told to hang them up, but GSP and Kos do not need to hang them up. Kos got caught by a powerful and probably the heaviest welterweight in the division. And GSP should have lost but still hung with the most dangerous challenge GSP has faced.

And I agree with the damage statements, please take that more into account. It's just beyond ridiculous. GSP is hospitalized for a week and Johny left the octagon without a scratch. But even without all of that, Johny still won 3 round very clearly!! And it isn't GSP's fault, the judges were the jokers. And Dana is a hypocrite, I wouldn't be too surprised if he called the shots on the judging so he can collect the money for the rematch. Fucking bullshit, this made me very angry.

Fights are scored round by round, thats why Bones won despite taking far more damage than Gustaffson over 5 rounds. Bones couldn't even walk out of the octagon on his own for fucks sake. Overall damage doesn't matter at all, only who won each round. GSP's face gets fucked up every fight, look at the Diaz and Condit fights. He walked out of those two fights looking just as bad. He gets bruised and cut easily but that does not mean he lost the fight.

    this fight looks like a replay of jones vs Gus, everybody expected a dominant victory for jones, but Gus made it a competitive and won some rounds, but it wasn't enough. Same thing here, everybody expected a dominant victory for GSP,but the fight was razor-thing close and competitive, so everyone is screaming robbery all over again.
    It all depends on how u score the 1st round, I score the 1st round for GSP. Henricks had some good moments in that round,but I thought GSP controlled the majority of the action. Obviously, the majority opinion seems to differ, but I have no problem with giving Henricks the decision; the fight was this close. GSP need to forget about this retirement crap and give Henricks a rematch ASAP. He just can't walk away from the sport with a controversial decision.

    Why does no one bring up judging criteria? The judging criteria state: "Effective striking is judged by determining the total number of legal strikes landed by a contestant." (www.ufc.com/discover/sport/rules-and-regulations#14). Based on that statement GSP would win (check stats, www.ufc.com/event/UFC167). The judging does not take into account the physical damage that White stresses. Thumb it up.

    wow.... Dana White... let me ask you a question buddy, how much hurt do you get when you promote a fight? Wait better.... do you know " how" it feels to get beat up like that for 5 consecutives rounds? You don't like the Judge decision... but wait... "WHO" agreed to promote the fight there? Was it George? Was it Hendricks? Santa Clause? NO! It was " you " ...right? I understand there might have been a bad decision, but it's not up to you to decide "WHO" won and "WHO" lost. Not happy with it? Too bad so sad. Next time, don't ever go there anymore. AND I highly doubt the Governor will mingle into your MMA fights "just because" you have an Opinion buddy. To get angry at GSP bcz he needs to take a break and dump all your anger on him BCZ you don't like the way thigns went on, YOU ARE UNPROFESSIONNAL yourself for judging and insulting GSP LIVE during this interview. Hey man, did you made any money for the last 167 fights you promoted? yes? no? YOU TOO could retired so you DONT HAVE ANY AUTHORITY to DECIDE what a fighter should do. YOU'RE NOT THEIR FATHER nor THEIR GOD and they don't own you NOTHING as you MAKE MONEY AS WELL per every freaking fight you promote. Stop acting like a baby and MAN UP. GSP made you rich as well so don't act like you NEED MORE MONEY buddy. Calling the judge Idiots and cursing live on broadcast only shows how un-professional YOU are. You think every match and every judge will go accordingly to what YOU think? Welcome to planet earth buddy. Now you're speculating that they destroyed BOXING... wow.... you really had to mentionned this live in front of everyone just to attack them. you generalize ALL the jugdes from Nevada in the same sandbox cuz you're angry at what happend tonight? That is a poor way to behave my friend. My recommendation to you, in a proper way to say it, would to go home, take a cold shower. Relax, then if you feel like filing a lawsuit against the Nevada Jugde for "LACK of Professionalism and CORRUPTION" then do it. But that is "pretty much" all you can do. AND LEAVE GSP ALONE. YOU DON'T OWN HIM NOTHING AS HE ALSO MADE YOU RICH. Try to think about that buddy before you act like you need more from him. AND PLS, PLS.... talk like a professionnal on TV. You're really un-professionnal "yourself" by acting like a "juvenile". Cheers.

    I think Dana was totally wrong about Hendricks being screwed etc... it was a pretty close fight, and I just barely squeaked it out for GSP - I'll have to watch the fight again though. But hey, it wasn't like when Gus got screwed in the Jones fight! Alexander Gustafsson CLEARLY BEAT Jon Jones and to this day that decision still pisses me off! He beat Jones in every aspect of the game for most of the fight! I've watched it 3 times! But hey I guess the judges see it as (if you don't dominate every second in a championship fight, then the champ retains the belt). And the whole "personal problems" thing with GSP I think is about him feeling that he's losing his sense of time due to whatever reason etc and it's starting to interfere with his life a lot more than usual now. But damn what a great night of fights and match-ups. The GSP vs Hendricks main event was too damn good! What awesome warriors!

    Dana persists in indicating that the damage on GSP's face is signifies who won the fight, but he also makes the case that the mma is a sport. If it is truly a sport, then over-all-skill should be the defining factor on winning or losing. If its just a fight then yes the sideliners will see the blood and think that the bleeder is the loser. If its a sport the blood should not be an issue, after all skin toughness is not a trainable attribute. In fact the competitors with skin that is easily damaged should be considered more valiant as they know they will compete and likely sustain superficial damage. I say it is in the best interest of the sport that judges have the courage to make the correct decision.

      I watched the fight again yesterday and even the punch stat compu-box numbers said that Johnny out landed GSP is the first round which kinda aggravates me that the judges had the nerve to give GSP the first round. Johnny was smashing George's face with hard elbows that caused swelling and a cut over his right eye when George was trying to take him down , and Johnny took George down as well so that nullified the take down points! That is damage AND significant strikes! I have watched the fight 3 times now and will surely watch it again, I admit that it was a close fight but also I also know that Hendricks could have destroyed George in a terrible kind of way IF he would have continued to seriously pushed the action and completely drained his tank so to speak! He admitted that he was holding back... If he would have continued to press and to fight desperate who knows what would've happened!

      If he would have pressed a bit more in a few of the situations that they were in, Johnny would have knocked George out! That is just the fact, there was at least 3 different times they were in positions that Johnny was in control and smashing George and for whatever reasons let up. I'm not sure if Johnny was afraid he would burn out or wanted to fight safe or what, there is no way in the world anybody could convince me that Johnny would not have finished him IF he would have continued pressing in any one of those situations! That was his golden opportunity to take the belt and to cement his championship! But he didn't continue to press, so he gave the judges a way to misjudge the fight and give it to George! I think even Johnny knows that he messed up by leaving it in the hands of the judges! Big Mistake!

      Tony Eads all he really landed was those elbows though, and that cut made no difference in the fight, we all know gsp has bad skin and bruises up easy but if you look at the standup johnny landed nothing, gsp hit him with a few shots and the head kick, he also had the submission attempt as well that was deep but he let it go to get mount, i scored that round a draw

      You are crazy Bro! I watched the fight 5 times now and the elbows that Johnny was landing was damaging, look at George's reaction to them! He was trying to get away from them quickly! Johnny took him down in the first round so the take downs were equal! If you watch the fights even the punch count numbers that the UFC put out had Johnny ahead on strikes in the first round. You have bumped your head. Johnny made huge mistake by not being more aggressive through the 5th round! He really should have been pushing WAY harder in the 5th, George was pushing because he and his team knew that he was losing the fight. Dana White said he was in the cage when the announcement was made that George won the fight and George's whole team was shocked because even they felt like they had lost the fight!!! Wake up from your dream land bro! Your boy George won the fight by default, but Johnny will get another chance at it, if George doesn't decide to stay retired!!! I am not a betting man so I lost nothing in the fact that GSP won the fight, but I know that Johnny put a beating on George that he hasn't had in a very long time, maybe even ever! So for anybody to day that Johnny didn't land the lost significant strikes because George could hardly talk after the fight and said that his brain had been beat in! That was George's words! Listen to the press conference he admitted that his head was messed up and that was not because Johnny didn't hit him HARD!!!! Wake up pal, your in dream land.

      I do not dislike George, but I dislike that safe manner is which he has been fighting over his last several fights! I think he needs to go ahead and step down and retire. He has been a great champion and held the belt longer than anybody ever has in the welter weight division but it is time to step aside and let the guys who are hungry for it have it now, I just wish Johnny would have pushed in the 5th round and not "coasted" then we would be having a different conversation now anyway, but you can't go back and change it now, we can only hope for a quick rematch and maybe Johnny really will give everything he had got this time around! Only time will tell!

    Everyone watch the fight without Joe rogans bias commentary and you will see Gsp wins 1,3,5. I had it Hendriks live but watching with no audio had it for GSP.

    Harsh Truth about this fight -1- Gsp didn't get destroyed contrary to how he looked but Hendricks won that fight.
    2-Gsp knew he lost and took it as a sign to get out before he loses as it would be too much to bear because he is insecure and needs the fans to love him
    3- Gsp explained his situation to become the victim in people's eyes and earn their sympathy in the only way he could by hinting at retirement because of his demons.
    4- This fight killed Hendricks drive and he will never be the same whereas he should have been a champion.
    P.s.- Gsp is my favourite fighter hands down but that doesn't blind me from the truth.

    let's be honest, chael sonnen is pretty much done.
    he drew money with his mouth before but at this
    point...losing to rashaad...he just
    doesn't compete with these guys any more.
    here's hoping he comes to WWE for a couple spot or something.

      why would he try to move up then? i know he got a free title shot at jones...maybe he just doesn't want to cut weight any more, but he also must not want to win any more.

    Georges is a great fighter and a great person in and out of the ring. He gave plenty of people a chance to take the belt. Its not his fault they arn't good enough to take the belt. Dana needs sued like the nfl lawsuits for permanant brain damage. Hey dana, you are rich and ufc is well set in the sports industry. Chill out and respect st. pierre. Think about how he could knock you the fuck out.

    either way it went it was a great championship fight what pisses me off is dana alway's said it has nothing to do with damage its scoring unless you ko a guy that's it look at evry GSP fight the post fight presser Dana never said well nick won cuz GSP's face is busted up and nick's not.every fight GSP is in he get's busted up and bruised all to hell so wtf Dana only said that cuz he thought GSP was most likely walking away and after that contraversel win like that and he knew that a rematch would be Big $$$ just like Silvia and Weiner in silvia's word's it's Normal B.S

      I agree. A lot of the damage was done in 2 rounds, which I scored for JH. Point-wise GSP won 2-3 rounds in my judgement. I wouldn't have been surprised by any outcome. It was a close call.

    Was a close fight.People are talking like Hendricks pitched a shut-out.Not sure of the total stats but it looked like St.pierre threw and landed a few more, but Hendricks landed the majority power shots.It's not just damage that counts though.I gave the first 2 to St. Pierre and the next 2 Hendricks.The big diff was in the final St. pierre had 2 take-downs so you need to give that to him.Hendricks tried to drown him and fell short.Good decision!

    I feel like what gsp meant by he needs time off was that he was badly hurt and in the moment felt he needed a long break but he just needs time to recover and more time for a better game plan but knowing dana,he probably wants to book this fight asap since it was razor sharp.
