First, getting Cardoso & Angel in the same draft.

Low post rebound Angel Reese. Mid range and in is pretty much a score because of the rebounder. Double the effective percentage. Moriah Jefferson gets it. Ham is drawing a dedender out of the paint. She's only taking open shors whenever she's alone. The ball won't stick. She can set a screen. Pick and pop. If the defense rotates your bigs are automatic. If everyone stays healthy you only worry about the dead leg games.

Hello Showtyme, How's it going? As I mentioned to you before, I was very excited about the trade between the Sky and Connecticut. And, my sentiment was the Chicago Sky got the best of the trade.
Let me explain. Rachel Banham is a natural 3 point shooter. She is more consistent and more accurate from the point line and beyond than Mabrey. Not to knock Mabrey. But Rachel is one of those players that shoots the 3 pointer with ease! She is also extremely accurate from distances way beyond the 3 point line!
Mabrey reminds me of those basketball players that have worked hard to add that weapon to her game. Yet, she is not consistent. She is streaky.
Moriah Jefferson played her college basketball at UConn. And, get this. She won 4 consecutive NCAA Championships at UConn! She can play! Her game is very similar to Chennedy Carter. Yet, she also has that 3 point range. So, when you heard her talk about basketball IQ, acumen, she knows what she is taking about! She is a winner!
I have no idea why Connecticut made this trade. Mabrey and Banham are about the same age. Rachel a few years older. But it doesn't make sense to me. Because if Connecticut needed outside scoring, why didn't they just give Rachel more playing time?
And, like you I like the way the Chicago Sky was moving the ball around in practice. Working for the open shot. Their passing was not as crisp as this earlier in the season. I love it! The Chicago Sky is going to be an elite basketball team in the second half of the season! They are going to surprise a lot of people in an impressive way! I think that they will win it all! 🏀🏆🏆🏆 Chicago Sky WNBA Championships! Angel Reese Rookie of the Year! And, Teresa Weatherspoon coach of the year!
Always great to connect with you! Keep up the great work!

Banham is a catch and shoot kind player who doesn't defend well and doesn't have an all around game. Mabrey can create her own offense and facilitate, she is better in pretty much every aspect of the game except catching and shooting. Do you really think the Sun traded Banham not knowing what her strengths and weaknesses are? You should probably ask why she was getting such limited minutes in the first place.

In theory, I completely agree with everything that you are saying. Now it's up to the Coach and the players to make it all happen. Folks not familiar with any player, why, takes like 2 seconds to google their career highlights. If Moriah Jefferson comes back healthy, she is certainly a baller. My only concern is then her size on defense. Other then that, she and the other additions have far greater potential then what they started the Year with. Now they just need to put in the Work and make it all happen.

Once again Ill say this there is a snake in every garden. By garden I mean situation. There is always that player who doesn't by in, who believes she can change the program and will stay around just long enough to put you in a bad situation. Coaches have philosophies and styles of play just like players. If you know you are not a fit and you can tell that by getting information on a coach and what coaching tree they came from you will know if you are the right fit for a situation or not. Maybre should have known that the Sky was going inside out based on the players they drafted and the fact that Jim Mulkey was T Spoon's coach in college. Instead she wanted to wait and see if she could force the coach hand and make the Sky go outside in and she couldn't. Maybre was instrumental in a lot of the losses the Sky suffered because she thought it was more important for her to appear to be the smartest person in the room. For a team to go in the same direction they have to be one accord. Like the Bible says: Can two walk together except they be in agreed? Anybody who is not in agreement with whats best for the team should get off the train because if they don't they will become that snake in the garden.

I hope Jefferson replaces Lindsay Allen as a starter, Allen is awful, she dribbles the ball well into the clock and she doesn't throw the ball inside, dozens of times I've seen Angel fight for position with arms outstretched only to be completely ignored by Allen, then you will see Angel drop her arms and give up once she realizes Allen is not going to pass the ball to her, this happens several times every game. The shot clock eventual gets low, then Allen will make an ill-advised perimeter pass or chuck up a brick. When I watch games, I tend to focus on players and what they are doing, I've noticed this about the Sky, there is not a lot of off ball movement, except for Angel at the beginning of the shot clock, most of the players just stand around watching whoever has the ball.

The reply feature is not working. So, I will respond to DeeCar Lady and Leslie under this new comment.
First of all, thank you for your replies. I have watched quite a few highlights of Rachel Banham and within these highlights I saw her bringing the ball up the court and on various occasions shooting the 3 or driving to the basket. Which indicates that she can create her own shoot. That she doesn't have to depend on someone else getting the ball to her to score.
Also, if you closely watch the various highlights, you will see her bringing the ball up the court. Which illustrates to me that she is a good ball handler. There aren't a lot of defensive footage of her. But in the ones I have seen, she has quick hands. She is good at stealing the ball from an opponent.
Yet, most of the footage I have seen on her is her penchant for shooting 3 pointers from every area on the court! Under Coach Teresa Weatherspoon, she will play defense. I have no doubt about that. She is a great pick up for the Chicago Sky! We need players that can booster the offense! I also feel that Moriah Jefferson is a great pick up! Four NCAA Championships in four consecutive years! That says a lot about her game and who she is!
So, in closing, excuse the pun, "The Sky Is The Limit" for the Chicago Sky! They have vastly improved their team! Mabrey is good. But she is also erratic on offense. She is also an average free throw shooter. Her defense? It is okay. I will take Rachel Banham over her any day! Go Sky! 🏀🏆🏆🏆

every wnba should have high IQ.....the wnba is a positionless, versatile superteam league where the players should play more like soccer players than like nba players....therefore all the players have high IQ because they have to read and react while playing both a hybrid international/american basketball...as for moriah she came from uconn which a program that develops players for the wnba because they are superteam program where the players learn to play with alot of talent so they are not 1 dimensional players where they everything revolves around them...they have to contribute to the team outside of just scoring....also with moriah especially she played point with brianna stewart and literally like CC and dawn staley or any playmaker would/should have the ability to pick up plays and different styles of basketball because a point guard/point-forward/playmaker is usually the one who starting the play in a traditional basketball style so even though the league is positionless the league is still a hybrid of players that can play teamball/iso ball or traditional american style ball/international teamball so moriah should know basically know how to the her opportunities to score on/off ball but she should also know how to set up her teammates or how the play will flow...it the same with angel reese, CC and lebron where because they played point guard/point-foward at some point in their careers they can better read where the opposition will pass the ball which allows them to get steals in the passing lanes

@@msl5253 naw i see aneesha morrow and diamond deshields being that point-forward that chicago needs (with michaela being a natural 3) and aneesha being the #1 lockdown defender for the main 6'0 opposing threat .....i see angel becoming a hybrid of candace (knowledge and skills that allows her to be alittle not as versatile as candace but versatile), derica hamby (defensive motor player that can also pose a threat on offense as silent assassin but will eventually grow into a 2 way threat), and aja wilson (leadership, body type)....it possible for her to be a point-forward since i seen her working on her dribble in some games but first she should more focus on being a vlade divac type of player (which she is but needs to perfect) in which she is a pin wherever on the court (but primarily in the high post and low post) and can send passes to whoever ....same for kamila but especially for angel since i see her jumper showing progress and i expect it to be there in the future....so when defenses come out to contest angel jumper and because angel knows how to pass the ball especially to bigs where they can get a easy score...she would be a great pin...a example is there was plays where both izzy and angel (and maybe milla too but i seen other times where milla sent passes from low post that was nice) was at the top of the key and sent the ball to milla for a easy score....then this game with vegas where angel caught the ball (with her wr hands) and stood there allowing chenn to get a quick handoff from angel at the top of the key as chenn came around angel for an easy layup

Well, Remember Reese played Point Guard in high school (I've seen the games and clips). She played guard and Forward at the University of Maryland (where she was all over the court facilitating and shooting). I've seen those as well. And she played more Power Forward, Center at LSU (out of need). Nonetheless, she would still consistently run the break; face up and drive, and help break the press at LSU. So, her game is more well rounded than people realize. I think it's all there for her to do now, when comfortable. If anything: I think Spoon wouldn't want to take away any offensive aggressiveness, cause Spoon already said 'Reese likes to see other players eat'. So, she may more want her as the Stretch 4, as they've publicly discussed, more so than Point Forward? But I think Reese's size and smarts would help them if she was more aggressive, leading either to a pass or score? So, we'll see if we get more bits and pieces, or a more determined effort by TSpoon and Reese (more likely in the future, after a training camp, if at all).
We tend to forget. Reese, is a Rookie, and having a great Rookie season. Most high pick Rookies don't even play or score that much, mind you do what she's doing (there's so much to learn). Those games against the Connecticut Sun (20 pts on 8/10 shooting); Last Indiana Game (where she score more points in the 4th qtr than the entire Indiana team for 25 pts), and the Seattle game where she score 27 pts. I think that's always there, if she and/her team were more aggressive about scoring. However, Reese can do a lot of things on the court, so it's not always her goal (especially at this early stage in her career). However, things may change with the new Lineup. (where, she may be asked to score- do more)? We'll see? I agree; she's a hybrid/combination/s of something, Somebody/s. LOL
I think Kamilla can pop out for 10-15 footers as well (from the top), if the middle becomes clogged. She can also pop to the sides to receive the ball on drives from Carter or Reese. TSpoon, gotta keep the middle active.
I know Aneesah was a pg as well, and is from Chicago. However, I see her more as a natural scorer (with less facilitating). I could be wrong. But I didn't see any pass instincts from her at LSU (where she didn't have to score as much), unless she had them at Depaul? Her "handle" was more to get her own shot off. Nonetheless, still a great player; is coach-able, and can play defense as well.

@@DeeCarLady they will do both but regardless of the situation reese will understand that when she in the high key she can be a pin, drive shoot or do a nneka spin footwork to the hoop and when when she in the low post she can kick out, handoff, post move or find a backdoor cut....but regardless of how the play actually is t-spoon most told them what to do in certain situation and what she wants to see from them like for example angel when in the high key i want you to stand and look for your teammates while also looking for your opportunity...do not and i repeat do not dribble the ball like you a point-forward like aneesha, marina or diamond instead make your move or decision while being stationary

@@msl5253 i laughing "However, things may change with the new Lineup. (where, she may be asked to score- do more)? We'll see? I agree; she's a hybrid/combination/s of something, Somebody/s. Lol" i literally have same thing at first i knew she was a hybrid but i couldn't actually name describe or find all her counterparts...it was until i saw derica and her sitting together i remember she more derica than shakira austin...and i already knew of her point guard past so i put some candace in there and saw her initially as aja wilson little sister type....but yea right now i just want her to be a pin and right now that all they need as chenn, milla, morrow and company doing all this and that on the court....from i see in the sky plays with her playmaking and just thinking about some great bigs like joker for example and seeing her double dribble and currently how CC getting her pocket picked all the time i want angel as a pin....that doesn't mean i don't expect/want angel to also develop into a true candace parker "i can put the ball on the deck" but i just need her to be a pin/stretch 4 and get work on her offensive moves and jumper especially with allen and morrow being in my gameplan (this couch coach got a plan lol) for the future ...like even as great as candace cp3 parker was i felt comfortable with her being a pin than a primary ball-handler...i also don't want reese as the primary scorer yet...like still i want her as the 4th/5th scoring option with her being a xfactor with a silent assassin attribute...so i expect her to not always look for her shot but as pin work the ball through her..while she also gets rebounds and do the little things and in the process of doing this she will get her buckets from either put-backs or opponents taking their eyes off her or letting their guard down and when she gets like 10 points doing this then she should be warmed up to go for hot x-factor numbers later in the game
