I still cannot believe I religiously watch women's basketball, i.e., all the Fever games. It's all due to CC but am starting to appreciate some of the other players. Love Boston, Hull, and Mitchell now and I think Fagbenle can be a force now and then too.
Fagbenle is all business on the court. She doesn't take a play off. She's a nice piece to have. But, yeah, Clark has put a light on the team and the league.
Agreed. I had never watched more than 30 seconds of professional women’s basketball in my life. I don’t watch the games but I watch the highlight packages on UA-cam. Love the teamwork and I still can’t believe the long range shooting of so many of these players… Of course, in the highlights they hit 95% of their threes.
Just saw the highlights. AB domination! Fun game. Rotation looked good, Hull playing the 3&D role to perfection. Clark keeping things running smooth. Kelsey looked good too, really in a groove with the shot and offense. Really liking what Fagbenle is providing, good target for CC and presence on defense.
Replace Nalyssa Smith by Temi as starter. Temi is more athletic. Also, the coach should stop throwing her players under the bus. She should take accountability in every mishap or shortcomings. The players are responsible for their actions, but as the coach, she is the one accountable. Why not make effective plans on how to bring out the best in each player instead of blaming them? Call the refs incompetence whenever necessary instead of watching the players get frustrated. Sides is lucky that she has great players like CC, Boston, Mitchelle and Hull. Don't take them for granted. Motivate them and propose effective strategies to overcome their weaknesses instead of demoralizing them constantly in public.
The root issue is Christie Sides and her rotations. Parallel in importance is Christie Sides, who believes at her core that slow down, half court offense. In other words, old school WNBA is the way to play and win. They need a coach who embraces the new style. We just don't have the depth. Look at the other teams we play, and they do have depth. I think we have to commit to the first and fourth quarters being the best five, and the starters are Clark, Mitchell, Boston, Hull, and Fagbenle, and also every minute of the fourth quarter. In the second and third quarters, either Hull or Fagbenle need to be on the court at all times for defense. In the second and third quarter, Catlin and Mitchell can alternate their Three minutes rest. In both cases, they need to be the point guards to maintain the fast pace. You can plug and play whoever else you want focusing on who produces and benching those who are performing. Also, regarding our bench We never play Saxton yet. Somehow, we let a great defensive player with a motor Celeste Taylor go, someone who runs and plays defense. She would definitely help with perimeter defense. Having said that, who knows what Saxton could do? Fever never played either of them. Victaria Saxton, who was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Center of the Year for the Belgium Womans league, can't get minutes? We can't resign, Taylor, but we should try everyone else. We keep a consistent rotation, but if role players are not performing, they need to be benched so others can have a chance. If Coach Sides doesn't embrace this style, Catlin needs to have a serious talk with the owner before next season. The owner needs to pick a president who embraces Catlin and builds a team around her.
Different looks are good. It gives the other side (opponent) more of a challenge. It prepares more of the team (Fever) for the playoffs. Saxton and Berger need to see the floor before the playoffs start, especially if the team builds a big lead in a game. But, remember that the team is only 1.5 games out of the #5 playoff spot. So it's not so bad.
Coach Sides can we please build on what has been working?? PLEASE! Do not revert to your old ways! That snail offense is awful for this team and a drag to watch for us fans
They need to Run & Gun!!! They've had great success with it. The coach puts them on 1/2 court & that's where the problems come in. The coach needs to take a few classes...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Christy Sides needs to really quit saying " they need to learn ". these are all professional players. It's the coach's that need to learn how to make better adjustments for the players.
@@neneodonkor Yes because she runs sets where when the person with the ball is double-teamed they don't have an easy outlet pass. The half-court offense is not very good. It's stale and that's a coaching problem. The fast break is team chemistry, IQ and ability because it's freestyle play. I would say they're pretty good but they're not setting picks but playing off of feigned picks which is weird.
I am back to hating Sides again… I know she’s a green coach so I’ve wanted to give her grace, but she just is just not a stable coach for this young core. She loses her cool too often & throws her players under the bus.
Yeah - It looked like Christie was scolding Caitlin for the early turnovers. To me, it looked like Caitlin was pouting, but she got over it in the second half
Coach Sides, Do you ever take the BLAME for anything? Your the Coach are you so PERFECT you can't take the BLAME? PRIDE COMETH BEFORE THE FALL! I can't believe this WHOLE season i haven't heard you ONCE take the BLAME for anything! And don't think your PLAYERS don't know that because they do!
They do. That is why they have to ignore her to win. Christie is pissed off in this presser because they did not obey her. Christie would rather lose and maintain control than have the team win without her.
Coach of the month award is creating a lot of damage. She is way in over her head. Indiana Fever is regressing to the boring mid-court play system stablished by Sides. This method is killing the team morale. Mitchell is starting to play hero ball again, Wheeler is not passing the ball to Clark. Clark is visibly upset and frustrated. Boston has to constantly fight for every basket. Fegbenle is taking middle range shots which us not her forte, Samuelson is a defensive cone and a non-offensive threat. This system may work ocasionally for mid tier teams, but come the games with Aces, Lynx, Connecticut, etc it won't work. Fever will never reach their full potential until a new coach is brought with a system centered on Clark, quick transition, ball sharing. They stopped playing like that team that got us excited with a 7 - 1 record after the Olympics break. They need better defense and a good Power forward. If we run with the CC system we would've.won by double digits. Mitchell would be making her points without so much effort, Boston too.
The regression of Mitchell is disappointing, and the Sides “wisdom” of never taking a timeout until the team is 17 points down and leaving Smith on the court after she’s caused more than a 10 point deficit.
@@tom7471 You're missing the point. The point is the offensive philosophy changed after the Olympics to a more open free-flowing one; one that plays to Clark's strength (you know, kinda what Golden State did when they realized they had an unicorn in Steph Curry). Now Sides is reverting back to the snail pace offense and it's choking the team. The commenter is right. This style of play will not work against the upper echelon teams, with their first round opponent more than likely being the Lynx.
...and Wheeler would never see another minute of play. Is Sides dating Lyn Dunn? How is Grandma Dunn not seeing this or is Dunn just too old to realize that the Fever can't win playing like 1974.
Look at our team! They are so polite, articulate, fun, and classy on post game interviews. Congratulations, CC, AB, LH, Temi, Kelsey , Smith, and all the Fevers team. You are the Champions. Lexie and Temi should be at the table.
Long suffering Fever fan here; Very gratifying to see the growth of this year's team. Having said that, if they don't solve this turnover issue it will be a short run in the playoffs.
@yassver some truth to what you say. Some of the sloppy behaviors I believe are based on player frustration with the coaching. Coach Sides never gets players' backs needs to let Catlin be a point guard, start Hull, Fagbenle, and understand substitution packages, we need to play up tempo, pick, and roll basketball. We need to set pin down screens for Kelsy Mitchell her shot is automatic. No more pound it to the paint. Smith needs to stay on the bench. They play better when playing at a faster pace, but Sides keeps trying to push inside, and that isn't working. She screws up the shooters rhythm doing this. Play pace and space.
Started watching because of CC22 but found my favourite player in Aliyah Boston. So happy to see her dominate tonight. Her attitude and mannerism is a joy to watch.
CC, AB, KM great ball IQ and no matter what happens count playoffs they can only get better. Hope KM stays the chemistry is amazing for their style of play
You’re forgetting someone ! Lexie Hull hitting treys, and by far the best defensive player. The starting four are just missing a forward to work with Lexie on defense, the Achilles Heel of the Fever … DO NOT LISTEN TO SIDES ! CC you should set the pace, not Sides. The speed you have on offense is the best in the W ,that’s your strength, take advantage of it.

This is why i (we) recognize the effort, passion, resilience and pride in who/what you are. You are champions already... Go for it...
Aliyah is incredible on the floor. She plays with purpose and finishes the play. Lately, she looks to be in incredible shape. So proud of her and the Fever team.
The key to their comeback was when Tammy came in the game , she makes them faster because she runs the court , and she plays incredibly defense , she just adds a spark
CC is right. Stop patting yourself on the back. Many other teams are not letting you back in being down by 16. She is not happy with her play and it seems like she is annoyed that her teammates do not seem to take it as serious. CC is definitely hard on herself. She reminds me of Tom Brady
Listen to what Sides is saying... "When we needed to slow down and run some good offense... and Caitlin came down and wanted to run some sprints." This half court 'slow' ball will result in a 1st round exit. She doesn't give Caitlin any credit but will highlight the lowlights. Fire Sides ‼️

Boston looks much leaner than early on and clark looks to have more muscle tone than earlier. They are good influences on each others workouts with Boston leaning towards strength and clark leaning towards conditioning. Its good to see.
Yes Clark and AB are lifting weights and are both stronger! Boston needed to drive to hoop stronger and not so timid! Clark had to bulk up to withstand the defense physicality she never faced before. She aspires to be Sabrina Ionescu in brute strength and 3pt shots and drives to hoop and is nearly there already! Some games better than Ionescu already! It’s great progress! A true professional who adjusts fast!
Smith, Wheeler, Samuelson only need to be in there when absolutely necessary AND they need to be in there 1 at a time and not change the flow. Team needs to run, run, run.
The challenge is that there's only 10 mins a quarter and the starters need a 2 to 3 minute rest apiece in the 2nd and third, but thats where their big leads are generally lost. Tjey only run an 8 person rotation most games and at the pace they play the starters need more of a breather. It's not coincidence that those negative momentum shifts accompany the slow halfcourt sides offense that doesn't work for this team. They haven't had success with it for any of sides tenure.
Coach Sides finally used Time Outs in the right way for this game. I think it helped them a lot stop Atlanta's momentum and regroup. What a great, exciting game.
CC is a basketball genius. She gets frustrated when she sees things wrong. She cannot control her emotions. Drink more water CC. Stress/Anger hurts your game. ✌️✌️✌️🏀🥰
The way this team handles and conducts themselves is just inspiring. I never followed the WNBA until this year. Will also admit like most new fans, the reason I had my interest peaked was CC. But what I didn’t expect, was how into the women’s league I would get. And also I would never have known how much talent there really is in this league. I love this Fever team. Humble. Accountable. Mature. And good, clean players.
Shout out to AB and Lexi, just everyone deep breaths and play your game don’t get caught up in their game. You all are ballers 👍👍 Sides way to challenge and show support.. brings out the best..
Sides, you need to stay off CC’s back. You are steadily yelling at her. You once said, CC is calling the plays. If that is so, why are you steadily yelling at her. You take credit for a win and throw the players under the bus for a loss. You never take blame. If I would have been a player for you. At halftime when I walked straight down the tunnel. I would have went right out the door. The players won this game. The best 5 on the floor is Clark, Boston, Mitchell, Hull and Fagbenle. That’s when the points go up and the defense kicks in. I hope and pray that by this time and winning this particular game, that Christie Sides now knows who should be out there playing, starting and finishing the game, which 5 players can win these games for the Fever. Catlin is pissed! Likely due to Sides. She was pulled when it mattered, they were ignoring Catlin MANY times on the 3pt line for a clear attempt. She was "blacklisted" by Sides for unknown reason.
You all have to remember, CC, AB, and Mitchell ... not only are they playing against other another team and bad (wnba) ref-ing, but they are also playing against their coach too, due to her bad coaching and playing against their own team who can't catch and finish (easy/open layups). To quote the late, great John Madden, "All the prevent defence does is prevent you from winning."
Boston giving them that work!!!!
You have to love AB's joy and her smile
These ladies deserve a good coach. One that will run cc offense it works for this team

"8-2" after the break,,🤔,,"YEAH??"
I see your point??
(SERIOUSLY??)
I can't stand hearing her voice. Sounds like RFK Jr.
@@davidfehlman5150 In spite of, not because of
@@GeneFuller-tz6bbNot a constructive comment at all.
Also, regarding our bench
We never play Saxton yet.
Two pair of young legs sitting on the bench. Put them in for spot minutes and give the other team's pg the CC treatment.
now celeste plays almost half a game somewhere else..
Calling a spade a spade
Coach Sides can we please build on what has been working?? PLEASE! Do not revert to your old ways! That snail offense is awful for this team and a drag to watch for us fans
She can't help herself.
Slight overcompensation for passing way to fast in the last game.
She doesn’t know how to coach. She needs to go.
They need to Run & Gun!!! They've had great success with it. The coach puts them on 1/2 court & that's where the problems come in. The coach needs to take a few classes...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
She is the weakest link. She needs to go
Coach Sides: you have all .pure breeds.. let them run !!
She can't because she is trying to maintain control because she knows she is in over her head.
Caitlin Clark is now No.2 on Most points in a rookie season with 692, overtaking A'ja Wilson (682)
Another achievement for the rookie sensation🔥🔥🔥🔥
She going to break the record with four self to play it 😊
CC really knows who to give credit. she mentioned lexie and temi and YES lexie and temi were great
and Christie Sides didn't praise anyone.
Christy Sides needs to really quit saying " they need to learn ". these are all professional players. It's the coach's that need to learn how to make better adjustments for the players.
Excellent point. Sides needs to stop blaming the players and look at what she is not doing as a coach.
They need to learn also. Some of the turnovers were unforced errors, so how is it the coach's fault?
Sides is a garbage coach and an ass.
@@patriciataylor2124 I've never seen a coach avoid accountability like Sides.
Something happend during the game between Clark & Sides. Never saw Caitlin so depressed😢
She looked ill. They gave her something at half time I think. She was all smiles right at the start of the third.
I am back to hating Sides again… I know she’s a green coach so I’ve wanted to give her grace, but she just is just not a stable coach for this young core. She loses her cool too often & throws her players under the bus.
Something’s going on between CC & Sides.
Yeah - It looked like Christie was scolding Caitlin for the early turnovers. To me, it looked like Caitlin was pouting, but she got over it in the second half
Caitlin was off before the came started I could tell something wasn’t right.
CC will be an excellent coach someday after her WNBA playing career ❤
She is 22 … give her some time.
She could be a player coach right now and do better than sides
@@JackelinHyde but so would having no coach at all. Sides is a negative.
@@impartialreview-r7f That's true. I think fever win games in spite of her coaching. Sides makes me punch air. 😂
Riding Temi in the end got the dub
Geez, relax. How ridiculous. They have won eight of ten. This team is doing fine, better than you.
Boston's voice is so beautiful ❤️❤️
STOP WITH THE HALF COURT OFFENSE. IT'S NOT WORKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Long suffering Fever fan here; Very gratifying to see the growth of this year's team. Having said that, if they don't solve this turnover issue it will be a short run in the playoffs.
Bad coaching
Thank goodness they only scored 9 pts off turnovers.
@@cliffkessler2504last time I checked the players are the ones playing. They were sloppy, didn’t have anything to do with coaching
An 8-year long fever, if you may 😄
@yassver some truth to what you say.
I was on the edge of my seat. They pulled it off; I was scared until the OT.
But they gotta get under the opponent's basket for rebounds
Brilliant Ladies❤🎉❤
Boston was awesome, high fives Ali...... way to save the day CC, good game Kelse, Go Fever,
Started watching because of CC22 but found my favourite player in Aliyah Boston.
@@jacquescousteau217 Yup, someone who can at least keep A'ja/Stewie/Phee/Nneka busy at both ends must be a priority.

Amen to that 🎉
Boston was flat out a beast in the paint tonight
From South Africa...Our flagship sport is rugby (Springboks and 4 x World champions) What Fever is doing as a team is astonishing and building as a collective will bring people together in more ways anyone can comprehend. This is why i (we) recognize the effort, passion, resilience and pride in who/what you are. You are champions already... Go for it...
Aliyah is incredible on the floor. She plays with purpose and finishes the play. Lately, she looks to be in incredible shape. So proud of her and the Fever team.
AB a DAWG
She a dawg?
The key to their comeback was when Tammy came in the game , she makes them faster because she runs the court , and she plays incredibly defense , she just adds a spark
CC is right. Stop patting yourself on the back. Many other teams are not letting you back in being down by 16. She is not happy with her play and it seems like she is annoyed that her teammates do not seem to take it as serious. CC is definitely hard on herself. She reminds me of Tom Brady
Good comparison!
No CC is frustrated with Christie Sides. Sides wants to play slow half-court basketball (Sidesball) The Fever lose every time they play slow.
Great comeback team
But , we need to have better starts and slow the past with timed passing.
Besides that, you girls played with great composure.
Let’s go fever
Love Boston
Great answers Ladies so proud of how you all worked to get this win in OT 🏀like coach said you are keeping your emotions under wraps better, no more Tech fouls
NO NEVER. Play Grace Berger instead of Cheerleader Wheeler. ua-cam.com/video/uIHVwEbmyxw/v-deo.html

CHRISTIE YOU NEED TO TALK TO LISA BLUDER ABOUT HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM CAITLIN AND GET OFF HER ASS 😊
Let's ask Bluder to come out of retirement and send Sides anywhere else.
Won't help. Christie cares more about maintaining control than she does about winning.
Boston 🙌. Awesome, Team Fever. Great regroup with time outs. Great challenge calls.
Go Fever Players ☄️🏀🥰❤️
She probably doesn’t like her deep down inside.
@@demetriusgaines59 I feel like Sides doesn’t like it when CC does anything. Maybe because I would prefer a different coach, with head coach experience. Just my thoughts. Though you may be right.
@@Debbie-xc5vx I totally agree with you.
It’s like they need a Phil Jackson kind of coach, who trusts his players especially his star players to make the calls in the moment which will make them and their team shine.
This. The Fever don't notice or care but the fans do. We don't like Sides and don't like the way she treats the players.
I have had enough of Sides saying they have to figure something out!! There are only 5 games left! SIDES should have it figured out already.
Right!! How can you not support these young ladies with their basketball talent but MORE importantly, their personalities.
Caitlin is obviously frustrated/furious with Sides. NaLyssa Smith is also driving Caitlin crazy, She had a -17 (+/-) for the time she was in. She is not playing hard. The team did much better when Sides finally took her out.
The Dream put up a hell of a fight. Well done.
They wanted that 8th playoff spot badly! Don’t blame them! They are better than Chicago and more deserving with no bad attitudes!
Aaliyah Boston was amazing -straight up. Temi coming in and staying was BIG ! How come Lexi wasn’t on Howard all the time wtf ! Game changed when Temi came in and stayed in…
you see the short banter between the two ... you know they''re pals.
Aliyah I loved what you said about praying. I feel God in this whole thing. I’ve never watched bball after my child left AAU 12 years ago but I never miss a Fever game this year!!
Boston's attitude is amazing! She brings joy to her game, and she is a beast at the same time! We love you AB! 🙏🏽✝️❤️
Only one comment is necessary. Look at the Fever record the last 3 years and look at it now. CC ! ENOUGH SAID!
You have to love AB.
If Sides is going to bog this team down into a half court offense, then she needs to at least come up with an offense that features more movement and some picks and screens.
I hope and pray that by this time and winning this particular game, that Christie Sides now knows who should be out there playing, starting and finishing the game, which 5 players can win these games for the Fever. Otherwise, they will go home early in the playoffs. The big three (CC, Boston,Mitchell) can not do it alone. So, wake up, Christie!!
CLARK, MITCHELL, BOSTON, HULL, FAGBENLE that's the starting line up CHRISTIE stop screwing around

Sides is basically being carried. So each Fever Win is basically a miracle.
I would not say that! You are wrong! 😡This team has improved a lot and so has the coaching staff of 5!
Clark, Boston, Mitchell & Hull all 40+ minutes. All double in points. AB & CC double-doubles. Clark is in playoff mode; last year in NCAAs CC often 38-40 minutes.
Caitlin’s right…the fans save a little something extra for the playoffs.
It will be insane and electrifying in that building for sure
