Archive is one of my favourite bands. I buy CDs of theirs and only a couple of other bands. This era of their progressive, psychelic rock is definitely my favourite and I think that their last two albums are far below par but I've always had an issue with Craig Walker's vocals. I love the delay effect in this song and many of their other songs because I'm a Floyd fan, an ex-stoner and a second generation, ex-Mandy-lover so I get lost in the trance-inducing, sublimely monotonous chord progressions and triphopricy. Pollard's vocal skills kick the shit out of Craig's. I'm gutted that Pollard wasn't involved at that time and I propose that a re-recorded release of Craig's era would go down a storm.
nobody denies walker's a great singer.but in this particular song since i had the luck to hear it live from both i must say that maria's voice suits it way better imho.and what a song that is.. made for a live.i dont like the studio version that much.once in the live though u can feel the electricity through you.the.. pulse.
