Yes, he wants to come back to eurovision!! For Belgium..maybe. Later on that evening he made that comment !😊 He performed late in the same evening at: "Genk on Stage" in Belgium. So 2 times on stage that evening. Genk is not that far from the Dutch border so he could go from the one stage to the other. Indeed, good spoken Paul, what an energy he had! (At both stages although at Genk the athmosfere was different. Indeed: there were not that much "eastereggs" on the screen behind him. But very remarkable: in both shows he talked a lot to the crowd, seeking the interaction, the "eastereggs" became short open messages between the songs about a lot of things: his mood, being on therapy again, wanting to be himself just spreading love, calling ESC: "you know who.. Voldemort.... the one who may not be named.....", with a whispering voice. I asume you know Voldemort from the Harry Potter books and movies. Anyways: A cocktail of joost messages, last weekend, some funny, some sarcastic and some to keep us awake. At Genk on Stage he made open and clear suggestions again, he wants to go to ESC again but than for BELGIUM. " arrange something, studio Brussel: call me"..he said, among others.. Joost calls Belgium his second birthland. Had already many fans there, before Europapa. He made a song, a remake: "ik wil je". With a Belgium rockband singer. This song he did on Genk on Stage, the crowd went crazy.
1:33 He said "Ik hoor je niet." = "I don't hear you" - he wants them to really scream it 😆 All the other times you had it right 😃👍 I think I once heard him say, he had sung "The winner takes it all" from ABBA with his Mom at Karaoke all the time. The Bird's Song actually was another one of the songs they made for Eurovision. You can even hear some parts of the lyrics that are similar to Europapa. I don't think it would have done anywhere near as well at the ESC as Europapa. But if you listen to the lyrics, the song fits much better for _now_ after the ESC: A "weird bird" who is bullied, unfairly blamed, but doesn't care what others say.
Didn’t you know that? His name was eenhoorn Joost. Unicorn Joost. ua-cam.com/video/tgKYgN6dE3A/v-deo.htmlsi=fcFhSTQwNjOZp9BT A part of his fans grew up with him.
My personal opinion: I don't think he will and wants to go back to Eurovision. He now is the one who won without have been in the final. And from now on he can only lose. What he is doing, is haunting them. Because of course they cannot be sure.
2:38 Good question, I'm still missing a really fitting interpretation of this song as well. All I can think of and whatever I found on the internet is more or less speculation ...
In the meanwhile EBU placed the outcome of their own intern investigation to ESC2024, on their official website. Big words, not much action. More about a new structure of the EBU leadership team, with a new director in between the EBU top and the national heads of delegation: " for more democraty", refining the rules for a country to participate and "ensuring a general audience show and broad engagement". Avro/Tros reacted already, by saying they are glad there are good intenties made for some innovation. But need to see action first and more transparancy how the new plans will be made more specific, before will they will consider to participate esc 2025. So from this perspective it still is uncertain the Netherlands will participate in 2025 ( with Joost klein). I think they will...but with Joost ? I'm not sure, it gets more complicated.
In German the first thing that came to my mind, ways: There's a lot of "um den heißen Brei herumreden" ("to talk around the hot pap" = beating around the bush). They said all and nothing. 🙄 And how independent was this investigation if the EBU is allowed to give the statement themselves instead of the investigator? Or did I miss something? 🤔
@@AP-hr3qm it wasn't independent at all. Indeed. In the Netherlands we have a proverb that says " wij van Wc eend adviseren Wc eend". ( we experts from Wc eend advise Wc eend as the best product" ) Wc eend is a toilet cleaner brand. They used that as a sort of funny oneliner in their commercials long ago. Since that time it's is a proverb here: a synonym for someone who gives an "independent expert" advise, what in fact only serves his own interest. I could'nt help thinking at this proverb when I read some things out of the EBU statement. But it goes on. One of the big bosses of EBU, Jean Philipe de Tender, said in an interview: In Dutch .... .......... ....... ...... ...... And I read the De Tender statement as well. That makes me sick to my stomach. On the one hand, it seems to show that you can already say, without even waiting for the outcome of the indictment, that Joost hasn't done something so bad that they wouldn't let him back in. On the other hand, the info "as long as he would abide by EBU rules" is difficult as long as you know that they can interpret their rules in their favor ...
@@AP-hr3qm glad I found your answer here finally! The whole Joost and Eurovision story, takes a new move everyday, so it seems. This afternoon, he was on a festival in Germany: Splash. I was there, he did remix Europapa the gladde paling version. It was awesome in Heerlen
It is so nice to see you following Joost all the time.
By the way, he started on Pinkpop with Europapa and his blue suite 😃
I reacted to that video too

The Bird Song they wrote with his producer Tantu Beats before Europapa and wanted to send it on Eurovision
‘T refrein doet me denken aan Frank Boeien..
Joost can participate in Eurovision Song Contest again
I' dutch and i was there and also at pinkpop❤
Lucky you 😃👍
