I've seen your video's before I think. I have a half painted starter set for Warhammer but I have yet to play. I painted all the cool ones first and now I don't feel like finishing.
Your work is phenomenal. My friend was contracted to build a robot puppet for the very same film. His company, LaserBrain Design Studio can easily be found on Facebook.
Amazing work hope you don't mind I shared this in the A Billion Suns Facebook group( Group for Mike Hutchinson, of Gaslands, new spacecombat game "A Billion Suns")
Nice build. Pity the video was upside down. Also, no evidence of plans made it confusing. I do like your cutting rig though. Going to find one for myself.
Nice design, really great to watch the build. Do you work straight from your head, or a sketch? Or do you do a 3-view and work out how to part it out in advance? Thanks for sharing!
Jeff Zugale Thanks, I do these ships right from my head. I usually have some clue of the basic shape and scale but it can all change in an instant as I build them up like Lego's.
As others have said, camera angle is important. Also, marking out field of view might help. Too much time spent where you don't see much of anything or only part of something, makes for a boring watch. Otherwise what you came up with was imaginative. I'd like to see it in a larger scale.
+Jay Coob excellent! I'm considering a short film attempt of my graphic novel. I would need a large, blocky, levitating trash barge and possibly a flying surveillance drone.
This is amazing! I keep looking at the screenshots of your videos and then am immediately surprised at how small and intricate the actual model is. What are you using for your primary material? Is it foam?
+Jay Coob Actually, I see a similar inquiry directly below. I'm looking into trying to make a low-budget short film that involves a handful of shots featuring a crashed ship. Have been exploring options - digital matte painting, models, etc. and figured a physical scale model might really be a viable option depending on if it's something I can afford.
Camera is in the wrong orientation. Very dificult to watch. Edit: here I am trying to watch this again and it literally makes my head hurt because it's like reading upside down. I was going to leave a comment bit realized, I allready had.
Sir, I came here looking for inspiration, and you delivered. Thanks and great work.
Thank you I'm glad I could inspire you.
i already do far tooooo much modelling in my life and posting it, now you know i have to try this, fan-bloody-taskic mate

Awesome design
Very nice straight from imagination into form
Outstanding work! I'm a fan. 🍁
loved the design and the technic
Some of the music reminds me of Ben Prunty's stuff for FTL; very appropriate for the content!
Really cool design.
Another six build Jay. Outstanding
Wish you would have put the camera the other way, everything is upside-down
In space, there is no up and down :p
That was (quite simply) amazing!
I dreamed of such ships. Want to buy this!
I'm glad you like it. You can Email me at Jakeulf@gmail.com with any purchasing or commission questions.

Nice build. Pity the video was upside down. Also, no evidence of plans made it confusing. I do like your cutting rig though. Going to find one for myself.
Dope! I would love to see you make a space hulk board oneday. you would totally kill that!
oh that was so cool! You got my sub! Keep up the great work!
Wow.
Awesome build. You need to make a list of tools and materials as well as where you found them. 👍
AWESOME!
Thank you, I Appreciate your comments
Sent a email to you gmail about free lance work....
guy you should leave the blueprint for download
holy fuck that's cool
Take my sub!
I was wondering what types of paint are you using? This video has inspired me to get back into/started with heavy modeling
What size polystyrene strips do you use in these kind of builds?
what glue are you using for the stryene
As others have said, camera angle is important. Also, marking out field of view might help. Too much time spent where you don't see much of anything or only part of something, makes for a boring watch. Otherwise what you came up with was imaginative. I'd like to see it in a larger scale.
Is styrene suitable for molding?
would you consider building a few of these and selling them for use in a short film? I love your style.
+Kelin Wheeler Thank you, I would love to I'm actually building one for an independent film right now. What did you have in mind?
+Jay Coob excellent! I'm considering a short film attempt of my graphic novel. I would need a large, blocky, levitating trash barge and possibly a flying surveillance drone.
That sounds cool you can email me at jakeulf@gmail.com. I could get a good idea of what you want and come up with a price and some drawings.
Do you construct the builds from a sketch or do you just start and build as you go?
cool bro And Try more modeling with 3d max too Well done
Thanks, I like blender but still learning.
thats a good news man good luck
The Musak makes me want to saw at my wrists with a rusty butter knife.
Anyone else feel like this was upside down?
Let me gues. You started your creative carreer in Mindcraft. :-) For such a small model it is however a very impressive build.
Marry me, bro.
XD
what material have you used here
This is amazing! I keep looking at the screenshots of your videos and then am immediately surprised at how small and intricate the actual model is. What are you using for your primary material? Is it foam?
Thanks, its polystyrene, a hard plastic. They do make foam with polystyrene though.
+Jay Coob That's super cool. I see other people asking about it - are you interested in doing commission work?
+Danny Donahue Yes I'm interested in commissions. Did you have something in mind?
+Jay Coob Actually, I see a similar inquiry directly below. I'm looking into trying to make a low-budget short film that involves a handful of shots featuring a crashed ship. Have been exploring options - digital matte painting, models, etc. and figured a physical scale model might really be a viable option depending on if it's something I can afford.
Danny Donahue Where will the ship be crashed and will the terrain need to be modeled as well? The price would depend on the size mainly.
Amazing work! Do you game with these models?
Thanks. I don't but I would love to make my own Warhammer type table top game.
can you please say
Camera is in the wrong orientation. Very dificult to watch. Edit: here I am trying to watch this again and it literally makes my head hurt because it's like reading upside down. I was going to leave a comment bit realized, I allready had.
Unwatchable. Upside down
More of your job is out of camera. Please, care it.-
Yes Sir
Thanks. Please, try put you camera at 60 degrees, not 90 degrees till now. Thanks again.-
Ok, I'm going to get a camera that has a view screen on it first. My video's will only improve.
Camera angle sucks can’t watch this!
