    I have noticed that the perception of a lot of the families on this show is really messed up. Just because the subject of the show is 600 lbs the rest of the family that might be around 300 lbs think they are normal and healthy.

    It is really distressing to see people eating enough to feed a small village in one sitting, cutting their lives short in the process. A large part of the problem is the enabler. Look, most of Dr Now''s patients can hardly move to feed themselves. If the enablers (ie family members, partners) only buy and keep healthy, unproccessed foods in the home and refuse to bring in ginormous amounts of fatty foods, what are these 600 lb-ers gonna do? After sulking/whining/crying or whatever, they will just have to eat the only foods available within reach - healthy fiish, meats, grains, fruit and veg.

Food isn't something special to me, it is just fuel to live. Furthermore it is a huge disadvantage for me, because I have problems to gain weight for gym, so I cannot form much of it into muscles.

      @@linas1319 do you really think the answer is that easy? Addicts, be it food or drugs,sex, alcohol etc will always go with their favorites first. Look around, when a child starts crying or being upset they don't hand it a vegetable platter, usually it's cookies with animal crackers at the top. Really think a heroin addict is out looking for Tylenol???? You could put your rant time to better things, like jelly beans.

    • @jb6712
      @jb6712 Рік тому +2

      They get government subsidies---SNAPS---as well as shopping at the dollar stores (none of them have any interest in quality, only in huge quantities of food), getting free food from food banks; their families enable them, etc.
      If you notice, there's never any vegetables on the plates, not even one, unless it's corn. Corn is not a vegetable, it's a grain and a starch, a high sugar food---nothing at all wrong with it in moderation---but most of their "corn" comes in the form of corn chips.
      They all also buy the knock-off, generic/store brands of foods, again not caring one whit about quality, only that they get their "fix" of food in as large of amounts as they can stuff into their overburdened stomachs.

      I'm assuming you're attempting to write in American English, so I'm responding with that same language.
      Lots of American mothers back in the 1940s through 1980s put loads of sugar into every single thing they cooked, no matter what it was, in order to get their kids to eat.
      Fast forward to 2023, and literally every single processed food on the market is loaded with sugars--more than one---in order to get people to eat it. The manufacturers don't care one bit about anyone's health, and they're only interested in the bottom line, the almighty dollar, and the government allows it.

    🤔 Ever wonder why a grown-up 🧑 would willingly let their body turn into a 600-pound balloon 🎈? It's like they're screaming, "Hey world, look at me! I'm lazy, gross, and totally irresponsible!" 🙄 That's why I totally idolize Dr. Now, he hits them with tough love 😠🤝, which is clearly the only thing they respond to since their own family can't get through to them. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💥

    There are many legitimate reasons for a person to need a wheel chair. Eating yourself into one isn't one of them. Where in the world is your pride and self worth? You can't do anything on your own. Not even something as basic as cleaning yourself. I am certain there are many out there that will come to your defense. They'll say it's not your fault for one reason or another. You will feel bad and cry and gain some sympathy I'm sure. But it is your fault and yours alone. The only thing positive that can be said about you is that you are a cautionary tale.
