Hey, I love your videos as they are so relaxed yet really informative!! I will hopefully be join UEA in 2022 and have so many questions! Is there any way I could contact you? I am also driving up to UEA this friday for a guided tour so hopefully I will get some more info then too :)
Hey thank you so much for watching my channel I’m glad they’ve been helpful!! Yes of course I’d love to help! There’s actually a new platform UEA have started using called ‘Unibuddy’ which I am on so can answer questions through that. Here’s the link www.uea.ac.uk/ask-us . I’d recommend using this but if that doesn’t suit you then I can answer messages on insta at Lia.sophiex ! Hope you enjoy your campus tour as well!! Xx
If you search geography as the area of study on the link I sent then my profile should come up but I can answer questions on other things it’s not just for geog questions! X
Hi! I have a question/ need a little bit of advice... in September I’ll be joining UEA and I’ll be in my third year ( I’m doing a placement year and actually gonna be working at UEA) do you think I should stay on campus with younger students or is there a way I can get into a Facebook group that sorts out accommodation for older students in city ? 🤷🏻♂️ don’t know what will be best😂
You can do both. Usually after first year students live off campus in a shared house. Campus accommodation is good and also close to nice shops, buildings and cafes but some people like houses better because you get a closer bond with friendly people and it’s close to the city centre. I’d prefer off campus as its usually cheaper and more spacious. There’s a su website called homerun which lists accommodation from safe landlords which is good for getting a room and from there you can access the uea su housing group on Facebook with your account I think.
Aryan Raina oh thanks that’s really helpful! With homerun how does it work? Does it match you with other people or do you have to find a group of people to rent a place with? Because I don’t know anyone... that’s why I was thinking of applying for on campus because I’ll meet people but if off campus is cheaper I’ll need to find some people to rent with😅
@@psychonautical6587I can't remember exactly how to make an account but I think I tried to create an account through the create an account button then the uni student union accepted my account then u can search for accommodation. If that doesnt qork email the uea accommodation team email which is on the website. On homerun there's a search tool where you can search for a room that caters to ur needs. After getting a homerun account u can join the uea housing su group on fb. There's also a group called official uea welcome group 2020-21 which you could join and post asking if anyone has a spare room in their house.
Homerun doesnt match u with people it can give you rooms/houses. Most people join a group of people buying a whole house through fb or real life. If in doubt contact the uea su email as they are helpful.
