- The MFJ 986 Roller Inductor Differential T Tuner makes a great addition to most any radio shack.
I mostly use this unit for a Antenna switch and to "touch up" any SWR issues that I may have. This unit will tune almost anything.

"Don't take this wrong" but opening the unit myself will void the warranty after spending close to $450! If that kind of stupidity is the norm for your way of thinking, going down the wrong road must be something u do quite frequently. BTW, MFJ said they apologize for the trouble, NOT fix it myself because I was, as u put it, "a radio guy."

You had to make EDITs to your first comment and now EDIT this one, Good lord, please stay on the new frontier of Hammy Ham radio, no effort, no will to learn, buying "pre made" Dipoles and to lazy to pop the top and tighten a 1/2" nut.. didn't you even want to see how your magic "Little Black Box" worked?
Not really in the mood to get into a pissing match with you as you will never "get it" however people like yourself are a prime example why Ham Radio has gone to shit.
BTB.... If you called MFJ and told them that you had a loose nut :) and you fixed it, they would have more than likely apologized and asked what your serial number is so they could reprimanded QC for missing the "loose nut".

We used to call MFJ “Mighty Fine Junk”. But really they aren’t that bad. You can save a lot of money on stuff if you’re willing to take it apart and check everything. The thing I really like about MFJ is their willingness to sell parts to everyone. You can buy those inductors, variable capacitors, 50 ohm dummy load resistors, and about anything else, from MFJ.

So easy to use, i was using one with a Uniden Washington and Zetagi Amp, overkill indeed
@8:10 if that balun is dual stacked FT240's it will handle 1,500w SSB.
