Some people’s style is basic, everyone’s style is personal to them. I have a hard time when people speak negatively about basic wear - it’s okay if you don’t like it but that doesn’t mean someone doesn’t have style, it just means they have a style you don’t like .
I think her point was that people should explore their style and figure out what’s truly them, if it’s basic then so be it!
Monroe said “the Beyoncé effect” just as it passed through my brain. It most certainly is the Beyoncé effect and a possibly a dash of colorism. Kelly has been eating for several years now but the confidence has grown in the more recent years exponentially. We ❤️ Kelly.

Go Monroe! I agree with you regarding those Khaite shenanigans. I think the Scarlet Cardigan is a nice staple piece, however when I went to the website and the price point was $1980.00. I thought OMG, it must be Vicuña or Ladakhi Cashmere! No ma’ma! It is a mid grade cashmere. I took my coins right on over to Jenni Kayne and purchased the Cooper Cardigan for a little over a quarter of the price. It’s looks beautiful and feels like butter! For me if I am going to pay that price point, I will be shopping at Loro Piana. Peace and Love!

Steele was that one, I first subscribe to, and she started out her being vocal on her experiences of not being respected for her value and she had the magic and was so open to share how to in her field. When she told us about being fired, I prayed hard for her success (tried to fix her up with my son. LOL!). I have been following Monroe for a while, she the one that led me to you. Miss her having the dance moments because I sure was getting into the jam session. I been anticipating for her to be on your show. And then the KBC! Even though you ladies have strayed some from the focus type of content (thrifting) that first attracted me following you for now I just use the high-end looks to inspire what I pick up during my thrift trips.
