My advice, is definitely keep your firearm on hand for self defense, but for a "humanity tool" I'd recommend an air gun. Air guns are far more than just the little Daisy or Red Ryder you had as a kid. They come in different calibers and you can even hunt large game like deer with the larger caliber air guns (they make air guns up to .50 caliber something I never knew until I started looking at them). A .177 or .22 air gun would be perfect for dispatching injured animals. They are far quieter than a fire arm, less recoil so more likely to hit the target, less range so unlikely to cause damage or injury should you miss, and they are cheaper. Pyramid Air is a good source to look at.

I agree!!! Ive looked into air guns. They have really improved over the years

Nah man, I make bush hogging controversial all the time. I'm always poking fun at the lawn service guys that claim they're out "bush hogging" tall grass. It's mostly fun between a couple of my local buddies, but sometimes it gets spread out to the ones who don't know. 😂

split seam -- no more packing clay around the riser -- likely pushed too much deflection into the riser during the process. Perhaps just drop gravel 360 around the riser

Growing up I used to love hunting. After Afghanistan I just don’t. To each their own, seems like once I hit 40 I become more of a spiritual person, can’t see taking a life if not absolutely necessary whether animal or god forbid a person. Good stuff brother love the daily videos.

I have welded it with a heat gun built to use on ABS. Torch doesn't work because the pipe will catch fire with an open flame. when it's glossy clamp it together. I bush hogged a baby deer once. It's very sad but also part of the job.

Anytime your clearing brush it’s always good to get the roots of it out because if you don’t get the roots of it out it will grow back again I use to be in the tree cuting industry and I use to leave the stump of the trees that I was cuting and sometimes they would grow back and sometimes they didn’t I did that on my tree jobs because I didn’t have a stump grinder and then when I was with my neighbor who had cat equipment and I would cut trees for him he would say to me that the excavator or dozer would handle the rest when I first started cutting trees I would cut down sumac and other low growing brush and that stuff would grow right back again because we didn’t have the money to get a piece of equipment that would take out what was left so it’s always good to take out the root ball and stump

I refer contractors to customers all the time with my job, and one of the things I always watch for are the contractors that aren't afraid to go back to a job site even something didnt work like it was supposed to. Those are my favorite to recommend

I agree with you. I’m always “prepared” when bush hogging. I run a John Deere tractor into brush taller than the tractor. I’ve found a paddle crossdraw holster works best for me when seated. I caring a Taurus Judge 410, because we got rattle snakes, cotton mouths, and copper heads down here inNW Georgia.

I also carry a Judge when outdoors on my property. I watched Hickok 45 the other day testing the Judge and found out that it spreads about 5 or 6 feet in 10 feet with 7 1/2 shot. Now I know why I miss a few rats while bush hogging.
