I call it Burma as well. I only found out the other day it has been named Myanmar since 1989. I had no idea.
Finally something on this been hearing about a "Golden Triangle in Asia since the 90's
I'm sure there would have been some other things they could grow, even in bad soil.
What happened? 200k subs and 200 views???
we've never been able to get this channel off the ground dude. Some videos get 100s of thousands of plays and some get like 2,000 views. It's bananas. Content too varied, probably.

Goodness, at first I thought this was about Xi's connection to the Chinese drug-running triads (get to that later - I read about it days ago, get to that book later) but this is another level so wild because I never even knew about this (autonomous Wa state group) until now hearing about it. And I've studied international relations for a couple decades now, so the way CIA/DEA works as descrbed makes sense. I couldn't find a single town in this region mapped in Apple Maps (or google, like he mentioned) - even Wikipedia I had to dive many levels deep to even get a feel about the history of these regions. Patrick, you've never lost nuance in your reporting; I think anyone interested won't either. Even though you might have made several enemies by being so candid about those you interviewed, and I wouldn't go anywhere near China because of comments, if I think about those who would; there is room for those equally concerned and now informed who could now if with an "innocent" clean slate.
Patrick I'm not saying you should retire, only that you've attracted too much risk from the CCP. The "China Show" channel here who are one of my YTEfavorites could tell you how that goes. You have valuable knowledge for all of us, but don't go near their shores, I pray.
