Acronis...the best by far at this point of the game. My small network has only made baby step upgrades due to multiple versions of windows and certain software programs were not compatible to a OS upgrade, so that work station was not included in the advancement of technology.. So, it has come to a point that communications between the old pc work station and newer ones is faulting (nas access), shared program function files etc on the wired network. A temporary wifi network has been installed and the system is limping, and new equipment and software is being rounded up. Acronis likely will be our antibiotic to cure an ever growing data backup issue.. Thank you Carey for this tutorial and please keep them coming. Gary O W, NE of Detroit.
I have a Small C drive which holds my OS but my data is stored on my larger D drive. I was thinking I should just create a system image of the C drive but then have regular backups of my D data drive. My Acronis arrives in a few days and hopefully I can set this up correctly.
Thank you so much for this terrific interview. One thing I'm not clear about is if you have the box ticked to "automatic clean up" then why is getting an email that the backup drive is full important?
Got it for $13. Your coupon worked, and then it offered me an additional 15% for whatever reason. Not sure what i'll do with it other than back-up lol, but for $13 how can ya NOT give it a try? Good lookin out for the second time this year. 1st was the corsair keyboard and now this. Thanks.
If you partition your hard drive to backup the drive to that partition on the same drive and your hard drive FAILS you lose your data and backup!?! Shouldn't you have a totally separate drive in your computer or an external drive to have a peace of mind that your data/ files are not lost?
This is standard for Dell and HP computers to contain a recovery partition. Ideally, as I said in the video, you have MORE THAN ONE BACKUP!!! Regardless of how you backup, having ONE backup, in any format, is unwise.
Recovery partition is just a recovery partition, but proper backups should always be on another physical disk. If your data is really important you should always also have more than one backup as Carey said and one of them in a completely different physical location as well in case of say a fire, or robbery etc.
@CareyHolzman My client has a RAID 5 server (5 disk drives) with Volume C and D. C is for OS and applications. D is for data. They want to clone C and D into two seperate SSDs and hook it up on workstation. They should be able to boot up and access their data. Is this possible to clone using Acronis. I suspect this would copy the RAID settings and it would not boot up in a workstation. Could you pls help me on this or better make a video how this should be done. Also they complain RAID5 is slow. What would be a better solution for them? what would you recommend? Thanks in advance :)
The 2013 version is good, unfortunately the 2021 is unreliable and full of bugs. Also the 2013 version recovery speed is 3x quicker than the 2021 version.

most excellent video, Carey! thank you for this and all of your other shared work ... BIG SMILES
Great video Carey. Thank you so much for sharing!
Why create a backup on the same drive that is prone to failure?
It should not be your only backup, however it will be your fastest.
Thanks Carey, I learned more about Acronis today.
More of this type of video please. I need some guidance.
Great Work from Acronis Team Keep up for more information.

Thanks very much for the thorough walk-thru. It really helps. And I used the code for 3 PC discount. :-)
I finally got a chance to watch this. I learned a lot about the features of Acronis. Great job!
Question, can you back up from win 7 pro and migrate to fresh win 10 install and put back up from win 7 on it??

Helpful. Thanks for the work guys!
I have Acronis 2020 and tried to upgrade to 2021 but coupon code would not work. Seem to work on new buys only.
I as well had the same problem
I would like to learn more about backing up a phone with acronis.
This is for the 2019 Version - Is the 2021 Version different
While 2021 offers new features, the backup process is exactly the same steps shown.

Yea , I saw that, it is ridiculous how engineers made this version the worse and they did not even change the look of the lay out, very dissapointing.
