Inca Quarry Trail to Machu Picchu 4 Days (4K Footage)

In contrast to the well-traveled Inca Trail To Machu Picchu route in Peru, the Inca Quarry Trail offers a more calm, off-the-beaten-path experience. Along the way, you'll see breathtaking Andean villages, historic Inca quarries, expansive views of the Urubamba River valley, snow-capped peaks and the impressive viewpoint of Inti Punku Ollantaytambo. This trail, which spans four days and covers roughly 26 kilometers (16 miles), includes strenuous high passes such as the 4,450-meter-tall Kuychicassa Pass (14,599 feet). Although it requires a permit and a licensed guide, just like other treks, it's a great option for hikers of all skill levels looking for a less crowded adventure.
