Very comprehensive video. Appreciate the detail🎉
Thank you!
Wow, Dude what a trip!!!
Thanks Pete!
Epic shit man 😎 That’s a place I’ll probably never go but it’s so cool! I’m glad you went and did these videos! Did a damn good job! Made me feel like I was there! I think the most shocking thing about the whole trip is the great camping production with Frank and the cooks and all the others…makes it an even better experience! Looking forward to part 2 now! 🤘🏼
Thanks brotha! The whole production was a thing to witness. Much more info in Pt. 2 cheers!
Omg thank you so much!! I’m doing the Inca trail with my bf this June and all the videos I watched were from years ago!! This was great. Thanks! And you did a great job! I’m scared lol
That’s wonderful! You will have an amazing time. Just pace yourself. Keep in mind, it’s not a race. I hope to have Machu Picchu out this Sunday. Thanks for watching!
Very nice video. You do an exceptional job at this. The best food I've had on a trek was on the Inca Trail. The worst was Mt. Kilimanjaro. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
The food was top notch. I was very impressed. Kilimanjaro is on my list. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
Wow. Amazing trip.
I have one of those BTR stools. Not super comfortable, but they are definitely lightweight and fast and easy to deploy.
It really was. Thanks!
Not super comfy for sure, but They thave a place. I’m glad I had it. Thanks for watching!
Nice cactus.... 🌵
Well, Thankya!
Thank you for sharing. Beautiful land, people and culture!
Thanks Anita! I had a splendid time.
Hey Rob. Thank you so much for the video. I really enjoyed it. I will be starting the trek this Sunday and a bit worries considering Im a pretty big guy and dont hike (although some what active). I hope I can make it through especially through day 2.
I’m very excited for you! It was an epic journey. Just take your time and hike your own hike. It’s not a race. Once day 2 is done, you’re good to go. I find it’s more mental than physical. You for this. Enjoy all of it. The highs and the lows. Thanks for watching!
Hey Rob! What an incredible journey! I'm really impressed by the service that your guides provide. I'm sure it is worth every penny. I imagine that altitude is pretty rough to deal with. Machu Picchu looks like a great bucket list item. Thanks for sharing!
All said and done, the cost wasn’t astronomical. Worth it for sure. The porters and guides are so good at they they do. It’s damn impressive. Add it to your list! Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Loved this. It has been on my bucket list for years!
Please do! It’s such an amazing adventure. Thanks for watching!
The long wait was worth it. Great video. Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks Tom! It’s fun to relive it via editing. Haha. Thanks for watching!
Amazing video Rob. Really looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Jeff! There’s so much info to share. It’s kind of overwhelming. Haha.
Thanks for sharing! This just moved up a couple spots on my bucket list!
Heck yes. Checkout Killa Expeditions. They’re too notch. Thanks for watching!
Great video my man, would love to do this hike but I think my knee caps would explode going over that pass.
Haha. The downhills were brutal. Sometimes much worse than uphills. Thanks for watching!
Excellent. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks buddy. I really enjoyed this one.
Great video Rob! Nice job on the edit! This looked like an amazing time. 🤠✌
Thanks Aaron! It’s fun to look at it again while editing. Cheers!
Really great production quality. Super enjoyed the content and I was riveted from beginning to end. My brother shared a link, thanks Steve. I've subscribed!
Much appreciated! I loved this trip.
Enjoying your Peru travel videos! I might go there this October for my solo birthday trip. How is the weather in mid October?
I like the porter service, over the top comfort. I mean your on a mountain side eating fckin cake for Breakfast!!! lmao!!! Big Pimpin Robby Rob!!!!!
Those guys are studs. Just hardworking honest peeps. It was humbling to see them trek. The food? Just wow. Thanks for watching!
@rob pelton yeah ya betch ya bud!!!! I have nothing but respect for guys like those porters! Fcking getting it everyday to make a dollar. Thanks for sharing Rob!
Completely epic dude. I want fruit kabobs.
Word of the day. “FRUIT KABOBS”!
Great video. What kind of hiking gear do the porters use? Anything in particular you notice? It’s ironic that you’re wearing alpaca, native to their region, but looks like they’ve got synthetic stuff on. I can’t tell what they got under their jackets. Or what shoes/socks they use. Any of them use ponchos?
The porters wore synthetic base layers and jackets. Mainly because of durability. Alpaca, being superior in many ways, just isn’t durable for the work these guys are doing. Socks are wool. Boots are basic high top hiking boots. Although, many porters prefer sandals and use their allotted boot $ for other things. Thanks for watching!
So glad to have come across your video. How many hours did it take (walking time) to complete day 1 and day 2 & did you find it difficult to go down hill with the broken hiking pole? I guess winter has just started so its not that cold. Thanks.
Hello Hiral! The hike is 5-6 hours a day. This, of course, depends on your speed. I, personally, didn’t have trouble going downhill. I ended up not using any hiking pole after the one broke. I do know the hiking poles help immensely if you have knee issues. I’m fortunate enough to be healthy in that regard. The temperature was perfect. A little cool at night and morning, but perfect for me. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid man! Just wondering what your experience was like with doing the walk in trekking shoes rather than hiking boots as it seems most people wear. And would the walk be doable in running shoes?
My shoes are trail runners. Very doable. The trail is very packed down and even. If you were carrying a heavy pack, I’d say boots would be good, but all I had were basic days stuff. The trip was tough, but epic. Thanks for watching!
I am afraid Midwest Backpacker would not approve of your breakfast menu! Fruit? No Doritos, Slim Jim's or candy bars? He would starve to death out there!
Haha! He rarely approves of anything I do.
@@robpelton He dishes smack. He seems like he takes it back pretty good. Good guy (in his dreams) 😜.
On our next hiking camping trip will you be my porter and carry all my shit?
Keep asking people ridiculous questions like that and we’re gonna trail name you Porter 😜 lol
