A point of note here is that you will notice that in Pakistani society it is normal for men to openly make physical contact as a sign of friendship, brotherly/paternal kinship. You will se a lot more handshakes, hugging, touching gestures. These are all meant to convey respect, friendship, kindness, humility, hospitality, politeness. Often times you will see someone hold onto someones hand for longer because they want to express to that person that they are reluctant to part from their company and really want them to stay longer and allow them to show hospitality. You will also notice other more subtle signs of humility/respect i.e. people stopping at doorways to let a guest/elder go first, not sitting down until the guest/elder has sat down, not eating until a guest/elder eats first.
You don’t have the tell me, I witness this constantly here but it’s good for people reading the comments to get a better understand for sure 😀 Thanks for checking out the video and leaving the comment ✌🏻
@@CallumAbroad Yeah my comment was intended for those in the comments section. Sometimes a lot of westerners can miss it. The thing that grieves me the most though is what's lost in translation. For example, the way the people address each other especially elders is a lot more nuanced than in English, so even though you might hear someone ask "Would you (singular) like some tea?", the way it is phrased is "Would Ye (plural) care to partake in some tea?" and you will hear phrases such as "Sir, grant us an opportunity to serve you" in everyday usage.
BTW do not feel bad about the children that are begging for money, unfortunately, they are trained to beg and if you cave in by giving to one, they will swarm you. You have to be really firm and tell them to go away, or go to a shop and then the shop keeper will tell them to go away.
Not far from this village is my Village of Kanoha. It's in the district of Kallar. You're literally in my backyard. I'm from Walsall near Birmingham. Its refreshing to see you in Pakistan. I enjoy your Pakistan videos.

Welcome back to pakistan! You have to be careful walking round watch your pockets and be firm always shout no back off and dont give anything they just wont go away otherwise, enjoy pakistan check out giga mall for some nice outfits too
Gujar Khan is a big Bazaar but you visit with these guys a village of gujar Khan that why you can't see the main baazar you also visit the main Bazaar bro
Great video..I'm British Pakistani from Leeds and Gujar Khan is my home city when I visit Pakistan..apart from the odd incessant harassment from beggars which we also get (please don't let this be an overall reflection of the general local community), the hospitality from the locals is phenomenal!
Asalamu alay kum my dear brother Callum great too see you back in my mother land I love how respect full of mosque u are and with pk thanks bro from Bradford West Yorkshire UK ☝🏽 🤲🏽🇵🇸✨️
Callum you need to understand the real reason why people are always available in pakistan is because they don't follow the western system the westerners are trapped in the west you can't take some one out of work to go for a cup of tea or he'll get fired but in pakistan no matter what job you work you can take him out for a cup of tea in the west if you get in trouble you can risk loosing you house car licence etc. In pakistan whats yours is yours its only you who owns it in the west you can buy a property but still 100% isn't yours because it can get taken from you anytime
Hello... I'm confused reading your comments. Any westerners can take friends work colleagues out for tea or coffee even alcohol too after work usually. When westerners own a freehold house they own the land its built on the house plus surrounding land. It's only leasehold flats which are best avoided when buying property that aren't owned 100% I'm 100% correct on this matter. Good parents/Grandparents would always advise if you want something save up for it🙂
@timsmith5754 yes but you have to arrange the meet up you can't just randomly walk over to someone on the streets and go for a cup of tea and then go for a drive through there area like collum did that just doesn't happen in the west there's a lot of freedom in pakistan. The western system is a trap and a prison system. In England the King owns everything every property he can take it from you anytime he likes
@@timsmith5754so if u work filling shelfs in tesco, half way through ur shift, I walk in, u can just drop everything and go for a pint with me straight away?
True hospitality is given from villagers. Your heart belongs to Pakistan. please wear the traditional clothes to keep yourself cool in this hot weather.
This is not far from my ancestral village of Sahang , near Mandra . You will likely have passed this on your way to GK . Ive wondered , have you considered learning Urdu ? There are a few places where you can take lessons in Glasgow ...maybe even a National 5 in Urdu ?
Felt like those kids were maybe taking the mick, they were touching your pocket laughing saying 100 rupees uncle Will say our hospitality is good, i'm from North Lanarkshire and any time we go to someones house they don't like to let you leave without eating or having a drink (i'm Pakistani) Another thing I have to say is that Pakistan has better English
Can you go to abbotabbad if you have a change !! I’d love to see this city closer but I can’t go now !! The reason I’m dating ver a year with a guy from that city ans I really wanna see hues that city looks like but from other side !!
Bro 300 is a fair price for sunglasses. It's just over 1 dollar. That's a pretty local price that you got. Inflation is super high in Pakistan. Come to Rawalpindi and you'll find the same ones for 500.
Within some workplaces as like you've mentioned definitely not. However there's so many other jobs workplaces where it's very normal too...Thanks for your example❤
