    I used to watch these videos when I was trying to grow my hair out years ago, I reached my hair goal but recently cut it so I’m starting over again and re-watching these videos. I wish you still updated your hair journey because your channel was my favorite and I’m curious if your hair is still long ☺️

    For me, braids really helped.
    Having hair on my face and sides were biggest annoyance for growing out. Learning simple few braids(french/Dutch) helped me expand on it, and practicing sort of a modified corn rows were fun!
    Have you ever considered a wig?
    I work w wigs and extensions. Although I don't wear them(manufactured wigs doesnt fit well on my grown man head), I am considering it as an option to experiment.
    Ur uploads are always relatable and sincere. I love it. Props!!!

    Thanks,great video:)
    To be honest I don't think long hair can ever get boring..you can always change the style, which you cannot do with short hair.
    When I feel like cutting it off, I always try to remember how long it took to get there...and I change my mind immediately;)

    I just started using calia shampoo and conditioner and the plaine products ones! Plaine is great because it’s plastic-free and you just have to send the bottles back to them to refill when you run out. I did a deep oil treatment yesterday with some heavy oils and the plaine shampoo washed it out with no problem! It’s the first shampoo I’ve ever used that has been able to take oil out in just one wash

    Dye and bleach aren't damaging because they dry hair, but because they leak protein out of it. There are other things that dry hair more.

    i’m still having more split ends and i’m not using any heat on it and i do mask before i go to shower maybe once or twice a week and i’m keeping my hair hydration I also trim my hair every about 3 month so I don’t know what is going on and I don’t know what to do 😔

    • @gretas6794
      @gretas6794 6 років тому +4

      Reem Toma I had the exact same problem. First thing that helped is washing in lukewarm to cold water. I used to wash mine in very warm/hot water and it damaged my hair so much until I figured out what was going on and stopped doing that. Also try loosely braiding it when you go to sleep instead of anything else. Braids are protective Styles. And finally use "phone cord" hair ties or scrunchies for buns and ponytails instead of regular hair ties because they break your hair. Also I like to take iron and b12 (Because I'm vegetarian) and biotin and omega 3 (good for everyone) . Hope this helps :)

    • @gretas6794
      @gretas6794 6 років тому +2

      Reem Toma you're welcome!! Also extra tips: brush your hair twice a day, especially before bed (personally I don't ever use a brush, I use a wide tooth comb, just make sure to brush your scalp very well to stimulate it) and try to braid your hair or put it in a bun (but not too tight) as much as you can, even in the daytime, as it will protect your hair

    • @gretas6794
      @gretas6794 6 років тому +3

      And also (lol sorry too many tips) use a sulfate free shampoo and a silicone free conditioner. Sulfates can be very harsh (not to everyone, but to a lot of people) and silicone doesn't actually condition your hair it just coats it.

    • @rajrani5449
      @rajrani5449 6 років тому

      @@gretas6794 you are very kind and generous. I have taken your tips into consideration, particularly brushing hair (I feel lazy!) One I may add is besides oiling, apply full fat coconut milk and leave on for a couple of hours and wash. I sometimes leave it for 15 minutes when in a rush. I like aroy-d, can or carton, Thai kitchen if you don't mind the price! NOTE: freeze the rest in small batches or in ice cubes. I use the one in carton in my tea but since it's creamy, I use very little, save some in a glass bottle and freeze the rest.

      Dont put your hair in *tight* hairstyles,
      Like tall *TIGHT* ponytails and braids.
      Jamaican black castor oil can help you grow out your hair. If you apply some on your edges, a day before you wash your hair. Also massage the area.

    any tips with girls with telogen effluvium or chronic stress...i lost half my hair last year, and im so depressed about it and it makes me even more stressed..i turned 23 and my hair was to my hipbone before it happened.

    • @eduardaarrais
      @eduardaarrais 6 років тому +4

      RandomIsMyLif3 the same happened to me. Just let your hair be, be very gentle with it and just let it grow. It might take a while but you'll see you'll be ok. At least my hair grew back, I hope yours does too

  • @melissasahagun5359
    @melissasahagun5359 6 років тому

    Split ends are not really a threat to our length because we lose them through normal hair shedding. Its important to brush your hair often to help get rid those loose hairs, but be gentle

      Heather Moore They sell it on Amazon. The original is $200 and a knockoff is $50. The reviews are decent on both. I think I might buy it and try it.

    • @MissAnthropy143
      @MissAnthropy143 6 років тому

      @@heathermoore5061 I had to get the $90 one (Lescolton). They were out of the others. I can't believe how well it works! You have to have straight and clean hair, do it in really small pieces, make sure the directional arrow is facing down and go really slow. In some areas, I had to use it 3 to 5 times to get all the split ends off. I'm very happy with it. The reviews that talk about losing chunks of their hair have to be doing it wrong. 😍

    I love the video! I have my hair highlighted as I love being blonde, I use all natural products and my hairdresser takes such good care of my hair.. do you think it’s possible to grow highlighted hair to tailbone length if you take super good care of it? x

  • @BetteTwain
    @BetteTwain 4 роки тому

    I had such badly damaged hair I shaved it off and started fresh. From the first time in 14 years I saw my natural colour lol.
    .
    Now two years after shaving, it’s collarbone length and I dread it. It gives my face an awful shape so I am committing to growing it out this time.
    .
    When I was 7 my hair was waist length and ever since then I haven’t grown it back. Mistakes I make I need to stop and grow. Other than trims if the hair dresser will listen. I didn’t want layers but she did it anyway. :/
    So I’ll wait for the layers to get longer before I ask the hairdresser I want even hair. Where the layers are a clean cut. No layers nothing fancy.

    My lovely Grandmother had long hair and when I was a little girl, I would watch her brush it out. I like my length to be manageable...once, it got caught in the car door during a gust...OUCH. So, for me...yes there is a limit to the length...:) PS...when I am working...I use a mask and then braid it into Swedish style.....so its goodness soaks into my tresses while I go about my business. MEN LOVE IT...THEY FIND IT QUITE ROMANTIC.... I use 10,000mcg. of Biotin daily. Robo hair and nails will be the result. One more thing...take a photo of your hair on the first of the month...it will help to motivate you.
