Totally agree. I' m not gonna rewrite here the response I gave to a comment above but basically his masterpiece "High Tension Wires" will probably never get the recognition it deserves. Steve definitely created a work that was greater than the sum of it's parts!
Steve the consummate professional and musician. Was great to see him with the original Dixie Dregs lineup in Boulder and Houston last month. Fabulous show. No one can play so many music genres with such precision (rock, jazz, classical, bluegrass, blues).
I watched him on-stage with Paco DeLucia, John McLoughlin, and Al DiMeola at a venue in Denver in the '90s. Those three famous players were obviously impressed by Morse's incorporating his own trademark style into their more-traditional pieces. It was a powerful performance.
increible belleza de musica en este tema con guitarra acustica y piano haciendo 1 combinac ion melodica hermosa !! steve genio !!!! no me canso de escucharte !!!!!
As far as I'm concerned, this song is one of the the most ignored New Age albums ever! It's clear it was marketed as such but got no, and I mean NO airplay from the radio stations that played that format; a rock guitarist doing a New Age album? I had a small radio show and found "High Tension Wires" in the stations record library the spring of it's release. I played track #1 ("Ghostwind"), was totally in awe and made it part of my regular rotation. The album I believe is the best New Age album ever but unfortunately will probably never get the credit it's due. Steve Morse created an absolute masterpiece and "Endless Waves" is part of a work that is definitely bigger than the sum of it's parts! 🏆
The stuff morse did with the dregs and on his own dwarfs whatever crap he's put out with deep purple. But i guess everybody has to pay their bills . oh well
"High tension wires" is one of best album i ever heard in all my life !!! ENDLESS WAVES so wonderful !!!
Steve in divine form in this album. Out of this world album. Definitely belongs in the list of one of the greatest guitar album of all time.
