There was no golden age. Bernard dunne was a phoney who won a world title without fighting anyone decent & was shown up in his next fight. Pro fighting did not influence amateur performances which we have always been strong on. Andy Lee prob our greatest pro along with Steve Collins & both earned their living fighting in US & UK. You’re creating an ignorant narrative to suit a nonsense book. This woman knows nothing about the sport other than to make money off a book with a tabloid premise. Horrible stuff OTB. MTK is doing some great things for boxing, MTK is helping many great things for young fighters, the MTK also has some great programs running from their gyms around the UK, how about this middle class journalist investigating horse racing, oh forget, that’s dominated by the elites, let’s attack the sport of the working class, I’d like to know what this woman is going to do if Danny Kinahan does get arrested, because this woman’s whole career revolves around Danny Kinahan.
