*South Park talking about Simpsons:* The utmost respect and almost reverence. Also calling it old. *South Park talking about Family Guy:* _Seething hatred._
I agree. Family Guy is NOTHING compared to South Park. I don't get why people even compare them. They are COMPLETELY different shows! Heck, even Winnie the Pooh is better than Family Guy!
I mean the South Park boys are of the age where they would of lived and breathed that almost perfect first 10 seasons of Simpsons pure comedy gold, i'm not surprised.
Simpsons was groundbreaking in many ways. There would be no South Park without Simpsons. Despite the shadow the show is at the current date, it did so much, and it gets the respect it deserves.
Trey Parker said in the commentary for that episode that The Dog Whisperer is one of the rare shows that can move him to tears. It was definitely more of a salute than a satire.
I love how it's become an honor to be insulted by South Park (and Family Guy) at this point. No one seems to get mad anymore and I'm glad to see that people and companies can still take a joke - as long as it's actually funny.
When Randy says, "You can't die! Everybody really likes you!" Was probably my favourite part of the Game Of Thrones trilogy. That one was a joke specifically for people familiar with the series
We're living in a real life South Park episode right now... Reality has become so ridiculous that Trey and Matt don't even have to storyboard episodes anymore, they just have to watch some TV and look at the internet and the episodes write themselves...
You think that's bad? Remember the time I used wayne szalinski's shrink ray machine to shrink my self just to get into brook burkes pant's? *Flashback* 😂
There’s no way any show besides Family Guy could’ve topped this list. 16 years later and the Cartoon Wars two-parter is still as relevant as ever. Family Guy and its manatee writers will always be an insult to comedy.
@TurkeyToast Drawn Together LOL please, the most irrelevant cartoon ever. It appeared one time some 10 years ago here in Italy, not to be seen again: I remember it being very cringey, just like Family Guy. Early South Park (first 12 seasons or so) is in another league.
"You think that's bad? Remember the time I stopped making repetitive pop culture jokes and actually said something funny on Family Guy? Actually, I don't remember that either."
Yes! Good one! I once acted in an episode of "Deadly Affairs," and when South Park name-dropped that show, I screamed. Closest I'll ever get to being parodied by South Park! 🤣
The thing I liked the most about the Cartoon Wars episodes was how they acknowledged that, sure, it's dumb comedy but sometimes people just wanna turn off their brains and watch something stupid and that "at least it doesn't get all preachy and up it's own ass with messages." A wicked self burn right there.
Speaking of which, since the writers were depicted as manatees in that episode, I'm starting to wonder if Trey and Matt did surprisingly well in their high school English classes when they were teens in stark comparison to their respective classmates. That subject gave me migraines when I was a teen, as I felt like I was being mercilessly treated like a perfectionist when it came to writing those literary analysis essays thanks to those remediation sessions I had to go through!
WTF will always be one of my favorite episodes of all time next to Super Fun Time! Also pretty crazy to think that the WTF venue set inspired Tony Khan to create that same set at Daily‘s Place for AEW!
What's funny to me is that "South Park" pointing out everything's already been done on "The Simpsons" is literally centuries behind the curve. EVERYTHING was already done TWICE by SOMEONE ELSE before it happened in a Charlie Chaplin, Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, Abbot and Costello, or Laurel and Hardy film, or appeared on a "The Honeymooners", "I Love Lucy", "Leave It To Beaver", "My Three Sons", "Father Knows Best", "The Brady Bunch", "All in the Family", "Welcome Back Kotter", "Happy Days", or "Married with Children" episode. Damn near every plot device or situation you can possibly think of appeared in a Greek comedy or tragedy, or in a Shakespeare play, 500 years before TV came along. That's why I have just barely watched TV or cable in almost thirty years. With the _possible_ exception of "Robot Chicken", It's ALL been done before. It wasn't until UA-cam came along and showed the creativity of everyday, average people, (and more than a couple true geniuses), from all over the planet, that I started watching 'tv' again. I'd rather watch people taking their favorite clips from South Park or Family Guy, (never really been a Simpsons fan. Way too tame for me), take their favorite clips and putting them in a 'favorites list' than watch South Park or Family Guy anymore...
Honestly the Cesar Milan one was honoring him. They made him look amazing in that episode. And I got to say I love how as a joke that threat of revenge from the Taliban for showing Muhammad on screen at the end was so funny when it turned out to be their own cheesy animation making George Bush and others look incredibly dumb was unexpected and hilarious too
Fun fact: in Brewstew (yes it counts as a tv show, look it up), the four boys (Tyler, David, Michael and Stephen) are dressed up as the South Park boys and when Michael gets hit with a rock, Tyler yells out “my god, they killed Michael!” when David screams “you bastard!”
Honorable mentions: Crossing Over w/John Edward, Queer Eye for Straight Guy, Whale Wars, Maury Povich and while I know this list is for TV Shows it’s worth mentioning movies like Passion of the Christ & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal of the Skull got much more roasted than most of the shows on this list..
South Park when roasting the Simpsons: they're old, outdated but still funny and we love them 😌 South Park with family guy: Peace was never an option 😡
I remember that Family Guy episode. Bart Simpson or a South Park version of him rather, was in that episode. And yeah it's very true that Family Guy has all those cutaways.
Omg! The Game of Thrones one and "It's A Jersey Thing!" are one of my most favorite episodes. That shit was hilarious! 😆😆 "Snooki want smoosh smoosh!!"
I love all the cooking shows they made fun of in “Crème Fraiche” because my mom and I love watching them, so this was one of the episodes of “South Park” she actually likes.😅
Lois, “Peter! I can’t believe you sold my grandmother’s remains!” Peter, “You think that’s weird… remember the time we pierced the veil”. The cast slowly turns and look directly into the camera and silently stare for five seconds straight. A distant rumbling sound is barely audible at first, growing slowly, unstoppably. Finally, the rumble grows to a deafening, unbearable roar. Peter farts. Everyone laughs.
Another thing I love about the Game of Thrones episode or episodes is that Game of Thrones afterward did a betrayal walk in the garden in the garden because of South Park or at least that's what I heard
the fact that the companies and people can actually take the joke and has it as an honor to be insulted or whatever in the shows proves they can atually take a joke without being sensitive about it like ppl nowadays
I love each of the episodes on this list, but honestly you might be able to do a top 30. i named four epsiodes at the top of the list that i'd see and two of them didn't make it on here; The LOTR episode where the kids give butters a copy of an adult video instead of Fellowship of the Ring turning him into Gollum, and the episode where Cartman is a hall monitor and somehow becomes Dog the bounty hunter.
If anyone hasn't seen it Caesar Milan reacted on UA-cam to his portrayal and it is both funny and wholesome as Caesar busts out laughing the entire video
Top 10 depictions of god in tv and cartoon shows Examples: Chuck Shurley aka god (supernatural) God (family guy) God (the Simpsons) God (preacher) God (Lucifer) God (south park)

Yoooo
jersey shore and wwe
The simpsons did get made fun of, for only one episode.
The jokes about “to catch a predator” in the Tourette’s episode.
The Simpsons, WWE, Family Guy, & The Dog Whisperer were my favorites
*South Park talking about Simpsons:* The utmost respect and almost reverence. Also calling it old.
*South Park talking about Family Guy:* _Seething hatred._
Yup but both shows are good
I agree. Family Guy is NOTHING compared to South Park. I don't get why people even compare them. They are COMPLETELY different shows! Heck, even Winnie the Pooh is better than Family Guy!
Old isn’t always a bad thing! Wine and whiskey comes to mind. Older the better!
I don't think that "The Dog Whisperer" episode was a roast, it was more like an homage
Trey Parker said in the commentary for that episode that The Dog Whisperer is one of the rare shows that can move him to tears. It was definitely more of a salute than a satire.
Especially cause Caesar showed he could actually take a joke .

Really? For some reason thats one of the only episodes I truly dislike
It’s so refreshing to see people that get mocked on South Park be able to take a joke
Well, everyone but Scientologists and Muhammed people.
And then there's Kanye 😂
Harry and Megan
I love how it's become an honor to be insulted by South Park (and Family Guy) at this point. No one seems to get mad anymore and I'm glad to see that people and companies can still take a joke - as long as it's actually funny.
Everyone except Kanye lol. He’s mad and doesn’t even get the fish stick jokes lol
But not Disney, the lost a court case.
family guy isn’t clever at all tho lol, so it’s not really an honour.
Not family guy
@@Jellybob69 South Park isn't clever either anymore
“Cash for Gold” is easily one of my favorite episodes of South Park. The ending is particularly hilarious for me
Yeah, I don't remember it having a particularly nice ending, but the timing of the whole joke is perfect and I can't help but laugh

South Park is genuinely the funniest show I’ve ever watched, if you haven’t watched it, I definitely recommend it.

Seth McFarlane definitely did not take this well, has spoken publicly several times about it
