To sync your climate controls select the "mono" button. Then you can control all 4 zones at the same time. They finally made this easier in the 958.2 by changing Mono to Sync.
Glad to help! You should be able to stream music through Aux BT tab. You will need to go into your phone settings in PCM and verify AUX Bluetooth is turned on. Once on...a AUX BT tab will show up when you hit "source".
Other than the trunk lid issue, the other things are either options you already have, or options you didn't buy in your base Cayenne. Hit mono to control both sides of the AC with your controls. Bluetooth music is in many 2011 Cayennes. 7X8 ReverCamera-ParkAssisFrontRear is an option that many 2011 Cayennes have. 615 DVD navigation system, North America is an option.
its annoying that when you open the hatch for your wife you cant close it from inside the car? why cant she just close it while she is already there at the hatching putting whatever in it? you must have bought a base model cayenne because most i've seen have bluetooth music, and also the rear view camera. and you can sync the climate control for both sides. so basically you should have no complaints, the cayenne is a fantastic suv
CoPilot said that 2011 year model is even worse. It has had the same number of complaints from customers, but these are more severe than those in the 2004 model. Overheating has reportedly occurred at only 15,000 miles, as well as a complete engine failure at under 40,000. Premature brake wear is another known issue, potentially happening as early as 21,000 miles and costing $3,000 to fix. Overall, we recommend avoiding the 2004 and 2011 year models because of the unnecessary stress they’ll give you that other models won’t. My question is after fix the above issues. Do the issues come out again and again ? You know that 2011 vehicles must be over 100000km, even more like 200000km 😂 Thanks
Sorry this question is not about this video but rather one of your previous ones. I too own an 06 Carrera 997 and liked the mod from filament to LED on the driving lights. Looks great but I get a error message "check left front light. Check right front light". Did yours do the same? I can't find that vid to watch again and see if you used resistors or not. Let me know. Great videos
Hey Gary! I did get those error messages too but they disappeared after a couple of engine start ups. I took the video down because I’m experimenting with two different LED bulbs that sell themselves as ‘error free’. I’ll update the video ASAP and share my results!
Start ups. But I gave up on them. Here are two ‘error free’ $10 LED bulbs from Amazon that worked perfectly for me. I’m uploading a video about them right now... 194 LED Bulb Canbus Error Free T10 168 194 2825 White Bulbs for 12V Car Interior Dome Map wedge License Plate Lights(Pack of 2) www.amazon.com/dp/B01J3BHDDS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BPL9AbVGHFMZ0
Hey i have a question for you please, i have a range rover sport 2011 and my crankshaft just broke, so i had to change the entire engine 🙄, i want to buy a new car beacuase of this range rover just disgusted me 😂 i think about this 2011 Porsche cayenne, do it have problems with the engine like the range rover or it is reliable ? Thank you a lot for your answer
So now that I’ve watched both videos (total of 3 today??), and read that you CAN sync climate control.....😂.... I’ll leave some comments. It seems you have now only 3 things that you don’t like about it. I hated the fact that you had to push the button to close the tailgate in my wife’s X5. I guess it’s a safety thing that you can’t do it automatically, but it is pretty annoying. Backup cam and head unit are legitimate complaints, but given the model year it’s to be expected. And maybe whoever bought it just wanted the least expensive Cayenne they could get away with. Porsche’s options can get pricey quick. But fortunately those are both fairly easy fixes. All in all, I have no pity on you because you have 2 Porsches!!
I am assuming that rear hatch thing is a safety thing. So stupid though that you have to push the button on the hatch. What is the point of a remote control if it can't be used remotely? It would be like having a TV remote that only changed channels but didn't tune the TV on an off. Never had a need for blue tooth in any of my cars. I listen to fm radio. I am not that desperate to listen to my same playlist of songs over and over again. Maybe on a long road trip? I don't see the point. I wouldn't be missing anything. lol Wish my 997.2 had a backup cam and parking sensors in the front. I know I can add them. Not bugging me THAT much right now though.
Hahaha. Fair enough! I love Bluetooth primary for taking phone calls handsfree. Music streaming is useful but I don’t use it all that often. Thanks for the feedback!!
I watched a video an Canadian Porsche Mechanic maybe you guys will find it,, he said the really bad Porsche is the cayenne he wouldn't touch it with a a foot pole, the amount of stuff that goes wrong is unbelievable and there is a coating on the cylinder walls that wear off,,it start s with the engine making a ticking noise and then inside 500 miles the engine is toast, and because the engine is so expensive it means you just dump the vehicle, and this fault happens a lot and Porsche won't stand over it either,,at this moment in time Porsche is fighting a legal battle in America about customers complaining about this fault they could be out millions, so guys don't buy a Porsche cayenne, a really bsd piece of crap let me know if you see that same video it would scare the crap out of you if you seen all the faults and the prices to repair them s
I would definitely recommend a 958 Cayenne S. The 2013 I read has the least number of issues. Bought a 2013 with 95K miles on it and have driven an additional 20K with no problems. Do not buy without getting a PPI prior to purchase and have the seller get the transmission and transfer case fluids changed as part of the deal. Has been the most practical, reliable, and fun car to drive.
The engine scoring issue was occurring in the 955/957 generations of Cayennes. The problem was resolved when Porsche changed the cylinder wall coating from Lokasil to Nikasil in 2007.

Noooooooooooo way?! For real?! That’s it!!! Hahahahaha. I love you.
Auto Amateur I was going to say that it’s horrible if you can’t sync the climate control. Even my Honda Accord has that.....
Well this Amateur right here (ME!) should have read the freaking instruction book. 🤦🏼♂️
Glad to help! You should be able to stream music through Aux BT tab. You will need to go into your phone settings in PCM and verify AUX Bluetooth is turned on. Once on...a AUX BT tab will show up when you hit "source".
I’ll check! GOLD!!! 🤩💥🙌

Yes, you can have bluetooth music with your Cayenne, is just a different way how to set it up.
How?
You can hold a trunk button on the side door for it to close, hold until its close

You can actually get a mod now for the PCM that allows you to have wireless carplay.

I think u opted out of few options or 2011 cayenne sold in middle east has these like mono , reverse camera and Bluetooth audio etc
Just pumping out videos today..... I haven’t even got a chance to watch the first one and another comes out.....
Haha. Took the day off to spend time with my wife and son... they spent half the day asleep... 😆👉🏼🚗
Auto Amateur best way to spend a day off, at home sleeping!!

1:46 try the MONO button 2:33 Apple car play for a 2011 model ? 4:44 No5 is staring you in the eye, your beige dashboard reflection is a major issue
Thanks!! Yeah, I figured the Mono button out after a while. Slow learner. 😆🤦🏼♂️
3. Bluetooth Musik gibt es!!! Deine Version vom Radio ist nur zu ALT!!!!
Why would she load and get in the car? Can't you load press the button and get in? I mean she is there anyway

Very reliable! Mine has 105k miles. No major issues. Just oil changes and brakes changes.
@@AutoAmateur thank you very much sir ! Ur awesome
You’re very welcome!! 👍
Mono button "joins them up."
Ha! Got it. A friend of mine showed me that shortly after I made the video. 😆

I know you have a wife and new baby at home, but I ignore all calls that I get while driving.
That’s definitely something I enjoy doing in my 911 actually from time to time. No one to bother me. Just the road.
strange accent.. not quite British not quite american. good video though
Haha. Thanks! It’s called Scouse, after 10 years of being in the US. Liverpool originally.
Mine have backup camera
I can stream music via Bluetooth
Same here
2011 here and I can stream just fine.
Old video, but how do you do this?
Push moto and you can sink the climate control
Push mono
Buy a car with options 🤣🤣🤣
