Jimin said he had this song coming, but then he saw a movie called Like crazy that is a sad breakup story. He took inspirations from the movie also to the song. At the beginning and end, the people talking are from the movie. At the end a voice says: Alone again. Whats the point. And then the next song in the album is called Alone. The album songs seem to be an on going story from start to finish. 💜
When they had their On:E concert and had live streaming fans for the first time during the pandemic, when they put them up on the screens during the concert Jimin completely broke down. He asked Hobi (is that real? Is that live? Are they really here with us?) and then he broke down sobbing. Even after, backstage, trying to talk about what it meant to him to see ARMY and why he cried, he started sobbing again.
There's so much loneliness and desperation, under the cheery synthpop, I feel. He has said the dream he wants to stay in is BTS...so I took this song as a depiction of his anxiety during the pandemic, when they couldn't perform live, and he was feeling lost...he didn't want to be ripped from the dream, wanted to stay lost in the lights (of performing), didn't want the pandemic to break him. And I think the song also speaks of his other struggles, the tussles between his personas, etc. I felt it was so much deeper than I thought at the first listen. He has expressed those emotions so eloquently in his writing and conveyed them so effectively in his voice.
In his interviews over the last few days Jimin said that this whole album is inspired by how he was so depressed over the pandemic. He found not performing in front of fans so hard and there are many times over the pandemic there were behind the scenes videos were he said how hard he found performing without fans. It’s not a break up song, this is literally all about Jimin’s inner struggles……the dream he wants to stay in that he says at the end is BTS (Spotify interview) ...the whole album has no collabs because it is the story of his own inner struggles and he credits BTS members with helping him through it and to do the album. Honestly, Jimin's story is fascinating and nothing like the 'face' value but then we'd expect nothing less from Bangtan!! He's quite frankly amazing.
He's given several interviews over the last few days from Spotify (really good), Jimmy Fallon, Pickcon, Dispatch Korea YT have several too. On 29th he is doing a Weverse Live to explain more....
I am 55, and it totally reminds me of the music I listened to in the 80s. I love it. I just adore the adult versions of these guys, but Jimin has blown me away. 😘💜🫰🏻
This entire album is outstanding. He's so creative and so talented. There are so many things about the video that feel important, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what they mean.
Jimin in his all album is showing how depressed and down he was around pandemic time he tells his story chronologically song by song, like all his stages of this depression. Here in like crazy that dirty hand is pushing him to trust him to draw all his sorrows in that cliche way with drinking and trying to be funny and have fun but in the end of the night like the whispers he ask himself, what is the purpose, why should i be like crazy when in the end of the night i cane in my empty house with more fresh worries and depression ( the mood is a symbol of that dark place), what is the purpose of drawing like this if nothing better is coming, and there it began the other song alone when he express all those feelings and expressed problems he has, and then he yells to set him free in the final song...the whole album is a masterpiece that should be listed in all go, reading the lyrics
There is a good theory that the "relationship" is with his feminine side (anima and animus) Every person has both sides and need to cope with them to feel good) Now you need to listen to the whole album to join the pieces in order to understand better his journey, or at least, I think I understood him a little bit better 🙂
One more version of ‘Like Crazy’ to watch is Jimin💜performing it on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘The Tonight Show’ last night/early this morning. It’s now here on UA-cam (search Jimmy Fallon). Different choreography, he dances & sings on stage with a small but very talented group of dancers. Too short! So replay, replay…😅 My current exercise routine (losing weight, getting toned) includes dancing to BTS music, and ‘Like Crazy’ works great for dancing. I love this song.😊💃👍🏻
You are so right, Jimin is such a sweet guy ❤️ From my experience of hearing this song for the first time... Listening to it on youtube (with a video) and Listening to it on music system (without video basically) are whole different experiences 🫠💜 In the video version, we are torn between his voice, the lyrics, the visuals... But when I heard it on my speaker, it enhanced my experience 😍😍 I could appreciate his beautiful voice much more ❤ This song is again a vibe. I loved the composition & mixing & ofcourse the beats 💜 more than that I loved the singer 🫠💜
Btw I'm not a club type person either 😍 so good to know I'm not alone in this 😂 And now, I'm talking from the grave: If you decide to watch Jimin's performance on Jimmy Fallon's show ... Please please include the dance practice video too because that's made from single angle so it's easier to see the dancing. (Also the girl in performance was too close to him 😭 and the girl in practice video was decent enough in that sense 😭 and just to be sure I'm not jealous okay 😭😭😭)
I don't know if you realized it after recording, but you've actually reacted to two different versions of the song. It is the English version playing on the lyric video that you've watched. I like the choreo and performance of the song very much as well. It gave me Stranger Things vibes when I first heard it because of the 80s vibes, I guess. The most known theory for the song and music video is that the girl is his anima (feminine part of a man's personality by Carl Jung). They mirrored each others movement when they're walking in the club (it was also showed in the choreo) and then it transitioned to Jimin looking at his reflection in the mirror. In the poster of the album, it says that the album is the reflection of himself in an unfamiliar appearance and facing the deepest part of his inner-self. And the muddy hands that pulled him in the beginning was wearing a black leather jacket same as to what the girl is wearing, in the end he has his hands muddy too which means that the hand who pulled him which is supposed to be the girl, was also him all along. Also, just wanted to mention that the album has a hidden track called Letter ft. JK's background vocals, don't forget to react to it as well!!
I like this song more and more every time I listen to it. Takes me back to 80s and 90s dance club. Yes, I’m old, 53. 💜💜 jimin said he would be on Weverse live on the 29th to explain the album. Thanks for your reaction.
So many ways to interpret this but they all work! •He's sad stuck in room during pandemic missing the lights. •He delves inward or "dive" down in dark muddy shadows (that Shining scene reminded me of Suga's Shadow MV). •Distraction theme of parties or alcohol but didn't relieve the pain. •He comes face to face with girl in leather jacket (whose muddy hand grabbed him) but scene changes to him looking in mirror not recognizing his own reflection. •Worries enter if the life he knew before would still be there. He dreams of performing again, being with ARMY again, will they still be there? •Who am I what am I if I'm not there? •It is a break up. The pandemic broke his heart All the inner reflections one might have in this trance like stage with Jimin's beautiful voice. But don't worry, this is mid album and you see him reborn in Set Me Free. I love that he tells us FIRST that he's okay before he lets us in. Just like anything Bangtan - the album is a masterpiece 💜
I like the interpretation that he was feeling helpless and trapped in the house (emotions or struggles he had during pandemic), so he pulled himself to the club and tried to enjoy it. But he struggled through self reflection and finally had return to the reality to face it.
I hadn't thought that it could be his hand pulling himself into the club! I LOVE that. It totally tracks. I'm definitely planning on blasting this while driving. I just love it so much.
Very 80s synth pop, I grew up on this type of music. Ill be honest, I didn't expect it to make your playlist. That shows how much your taste has evolved over the past year. Love some of your facial expressions with the lyrics and MV, lol 😂. FYI, The choreo is quite suggestive on the live performance.
I've found that I can find enjoyment in a lot of songs now, especially if they are new to me. It's almost like finding a new trail in the woods, I'm excited about the new adventure I'm about to experience.
The whole album is fantastic and on repeat since it dropped. I can't wait for the actual cd to arrive from weverse, but youtube music works, too. I'm older than you (70's baby, 80's teen), but hit the nail on the head. This is definitely a synth-pop sound and I love Jimin's vocals. He has such a range! I'm OT7, but Jimin caught my eye when I first found BTS.
This sound takes me back to my Duran Duran days. Good beat and great vocals, as expected. I think Jimin's alluding to superficial "fun" with a painful catch---the walls closing in on him, the black fluid seeping through the walls, sitting alone on a bathroom floor, the mud. Honestly, this song depresses me. Edit: On a happier note, Jimin's interaction with Jimmy Fallon is a guaranteed mood lift.
this song is inspired in the movie called Like crazy! didn't watch it but I wanna watch it after his song lol for what I've seen ARMYs who did watch it he even references a line in the movie too. For what it's worth before I knew this I was like oh boy he's opening up a lot ppl gonna start speculating and driving him nuts but he shut everyone up when he revealed what the inspo for the song is!
I got from it that it was about being intoxicated, at the premier I looked at my husband and said 'this is a 🎉 song?!' A lot of the album he mentions not being sober or being drunk though 🤷🏾♀️ And I think it is that time in the pandemic when lots developed bad habits out of boredom The club can also be very freeing, just dancing and drinking and forgetting all worries and cares for a while, like a different world to be lost in the lights and you can wanna stay in that dream like state
Hello, do not know if you know about the acoustic live version he did on a show. It's Lee Muijin Service on youtube. Jimin's voice is angelic and he changed up the english version a little...just amazing. Must see!
I like this song and more I listen to it I like it more. I get melancholy feeling from it like when the party is winding down when you are past tipsy and getting sober?
Nice reaction Bryan! The song positively surprised me soundwise. I like how you were getting some shy/second-hand embarrassment moments at the "give me a good ride" line LMAO. I feel like people are digging too deep with this anima/animus theory and I think your way of thinking is much more correct than people wanting it to be about some hardcore psychology stuff really hard lol. It's nice to think about it, but something doesn't add up. I think it's plain and simple. Jimin being torn between wanting two different things. Wanting to have a nice, fulfilling relationship but being addicted to a quite adventurous lifestyle. The lyrics and the music video are kinda graphic. The Jimin in the white shirt is the one with the soft cravings, but he gets pulled outside by the "dark" side of himself and goes clubbing and imo it's implied that he hooks up there with that girl. Otherwise why does it cut straight to the bathroom and then the bathroom falls apart and you get this full-on display of a couple making out in infrared? *bathroom hook ups are a thing, especially in clubs* And then "this is gonna break me but don't you wake me". Simply cause he doesn't really want to live like this and because that kinda lifestyle is destructive but he doesn't wanna wake up because that's simply easier for him to do than to live a normal life, the constantly-partying lifestyle has become his comfort zone/escape and he finds normal relationships harder than hook-ups. That's how interpreted it at least. All in all - I'm glad he stopped doing all of that if we're to believe his words, he commented that this album describes whatever was going on in his life during the pandemic, so I hope he's doing better and realized that alcohol and hook ups are not the greatest escape or coping mechanism.
Amazing Reaction Video ❤❤ Every comment has already told you about the MV & song's meaning. And I saw how many of us are asking for you to react to Jimmy fallon show performance, and the practice video. I just want you to know there will be a lot of performances coming 😂❤ like one is already coming with korean audience, and he's wearing a black dress, his beautiful moon tattoos are showing clearly on his back there 🎊 so be ready to be flooded with requests after request 😂 We just love seeing all those things with you 💜
As others have suggested, you should check out the Jimmy Fallon performance. The choreography is awesome. Also there is a dance practice video as well.
Hi Bryan. Great reaction. 💜 Ah those lyrics. I had something of the same kind of reaction to you when I first heard them 😮 😳. I can relate to you as I've also never been to a club - definetly not my thing. I wonder if you realise the lyric video which you did was for the English version of the song whereas the MV is the Korean. Also the English version isn't just a translation, it actually has some different lyrics. He performance on Jimmy Fallon was the English version. I'm really enjoying the song though and the whole Face album. I love how different Like Crazy is to Set Me Free Pt. 2, it really shows Jimins versatility. The nostalgic vibe is so good and Jimins voice is just beautiful, it suits it so well. Intoxicating, addicting and dreamlike I think are other words to describe the song well. It's also a chill and happy song but it really does have strong underlying sadness throughout it to me, even in the emotion he conveys in his voice and not just the lyrics. I kind of have conflicting emotions when listening to it. - "That voice at the end 'Alone again, what's the point" 😢 Hmm. 'Did he pull himself into the club / escapism scene' love your idea on that. As usual with BTS and Bighit always some symbolism in the MVs. Was a very interesting idea with the mud. The scene with it seeping out of the walls actually reminded me of the MV for Sugas Shadow with the red substance on the walls. I'm really looking forward to your reactions to the rest of the songs on the album. I really recommend listening to them in order. Sonically Ive been really enjoying listening to the album right through and I think that's also the intended listening order as the song themes follow on from each other. I'm thinking you will really enjoy Face-off. And even though Interlude: Dive is an instrumental track it sounds so good, interesting and relaxing and makes sense to hear it after Face-Off and before Like Crazy. And that Like Crazy ends with the voice saying alone again and the next song is titled Alone. Lastly in case you havnt seen /read them I wanted to share these interviews / articles with you. This one from Rolling Stone is really good detailed with Jimin explaining about the album and its inspirations: www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/jimin-interview-face-bts-1234702952/amp/ And this video from the channel Tong Tong Culture. ua-cam.com/video/arhBIBLVXBk/v-deo.html
One thing you should know and fellow Army correct me if I’m wrong here but BTS has never released a song about a personal love/dating type of relationship. Maybe “Danger” but it’s still not about their personal experiences. If you hear in a song they’re saying girl or baby it’s usually about Army. It’s just those words fit better in songs. 😁
When I first saw the Like Crazy MV I was confused. The video didn’t seem to match the lyrics. On the making of the MV of Like Crazy Jimin said that the MV is not really how things happened. (It basically was a way to tell the story.) And then on Suchwita Jimin told Suga that he wanted the music to be upbeat to emphasize how he thought he was “having fun” before realizing he wasn’t. In an album intro Jimin says Like Crazy “is a song that expresses the emotion of the moment when you run away from reality to forget your wounds. To convey the sadness of the lyrics, I paid a lot of attention to the emotional lines when I sang.” Also, if you combine the English version with the Korean version you get additional parts of the story. (About how he was trying to cope during this time.) Are other things revealed? Very possible. But I am just writing what I have discovered that Jimin has said himself.
Please react to the whole album I beg you, there is only 4 songs left since u have seen two of the songs already ... I really wanna see ur reaction to the lyrics
In s.Korean K-pop the fans have frothing meltdowns if their idols have a normal relationship and will not listen to the idol anymore. These baby girls are still in diapers.
For future reactions, when it's an song with mv ,please watch the mv first because if you listen to the lyric video first, the song looses its farmec when you watch the mv after. So please react to the mv first, if you want with subtitles on,and then the lyrics video,ok?💜💜💜💜
Like Crazy maravilhosa linda demais parabéns Jimin 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Yes, agree - I feel the album is a story, told from the first track to the last.

@jjmn…Your thoughts mirror mine, but I didn’t come to them until I had heard the song at least five times! 💜

Bryan, with this song, more than ever we need headphones to enjoy the magic of Jimin’s voice.

So sad and lonely feelings from Jimin (BTS)💜, nothing ever will be solved with drinking. Defenetly 80s uk-vibe. Greetings from the edge of Europe

The pandemic broke his heart
All the inner reflections one might have in this trance like stage with Jimin's beautiful voice.
Trust Bangtan to just represent duality. Jimin, the guy with the MOST angelic face out of the group come out with some hard stuff like this.
HI ! he performed at JImmy Fallon show and the dance practice is now out. Watching those may help you more in understanding the song
Ya está nuestro Ángel cumplió otro sueño y meta !! Su propio álbum Merecido por los años de sacrificio y trabajo9
I hadn't thought that it could be his hand pulling himself into the club! I LOVE that. It totally tracks. I'm definitely planning on blasting this while driving. I just love it so much.
Me too! Absolutely adore this song! Already blasted it out of my car this afternoon 😂

80s vibes. It gives me the sense of lonliness and the searching for distractions after a breackup 💜
Love Jimin’s work.. Great reaction.. Thank you 💜💜💜
This song plays in my head on REPEAT. 💜💜💜
I personally prefer this song with his dance performance then the MV. But it's just my preference because Jimin's performance is always captivating. 💜
I agree. I thought the choreography for this song was perfect and really expressed the feelings portrayed in the song. 💜
I like the English version lyrics more than the cc lyrics provided in the MV, too
This song I would play while taking a long drive a night. I love the album congratulations to Jimin for all the hard work
2023-K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin -P Dogg
JIMIN❤👑⭐
According to Jimin the whole album is his feelings during the pandemic, the process.
Love this track! Thx for covering it Bryan!🫰🏼
I love indigo too hahaha, jimin’s album’s replay value is really high
Me gusta la canción! El video es como un sueño? Poco antes de finalizar el video, las escenas retroceden hasta volver al principio…

I always enjoy Jimin.

The club can also be very freeing, just dancing and drinking and forgetting all worries and cares for a while, like a different world to be lost in the lights and you can wanna stay in that dream like state
Oooh plus Bryan, there are now several BangtanTV behind the scenes where he explains to0. Album cover sketch, music video sketch etc.
I heard another channel ( not a reaction) say that this is representative of Jimin reflecting on himself and his duality
Hello, do not know if you know about the acoustic live version he did on a show. It's Lee Muijin Service on youtube. Jimin's voice is angelic and he changed up the english version a little...just amazing. Must see!
Like crazy will get 2 remixes (Deep House Remix and UK Garage Remix), so more variety for night drives.😂 Release date: March 26, 1 PM KST.
I like this song and more I listen to it I like it more. I get melancholy feeling from it like when the party is winding down when you are past tipsy and getting sober?
I saw "she" as alcohol, as this was a big struggle. Interested in your reaction to the live performance on Jimmy Fallon. 💜👀
Fly to my room with jimin, V,suga, hobi
Nice reaction Bryan! The song positively surprised me soundwise. I like how you were getting some shy/second-hand embarrassment moments at the "give me a good ride" line LMAO.
I feel like people are digging too deep with this anima/animus theory and I think your way of thinking is much more correct than people wanting it to be about some hardcore psychology stuff really hard lol. It's nice to think about it, but something doesn't add up. I think it's plain and simple. Jimin being torn between wanting two different things. I knew we wouldn't make it through the whole lyric video without errors.
Amazing Reaction Video ❤❤ Every comment has already told you about the MV & song's meaning. And I saw how many of us are asking for you to react to Jimmy fallon show performance, and the practice video. As others have suggested, you should check out the Jimmy Fallon performance. The choreography is awesome. Also there is a dance practice video as well.

Thank you for checking out my videos!
Hi Bryan. Great reaction. 💜
Ah those lyrics.
- "That voice at the end 'Alone again, what's the point" 😢
Hmm.
And even though Interlude: Dive is an instrumental track it sounds so good, interesting and relaxing and makes sense to hear it after Face-Off and before
Like Crazy. And that Like Crazy ends with the voice saying alone again and the next song is titled Alone.
Lastly in case you havnt seen /read them I wanted to share these interviews / articles with you.
This one from Rolling Stone is really good detailed with Jimin explaining about the album and its inspirations:

Boa Noite
11:20 I knew it ! 😋
😁 💜
(About how he was trying to cope during this time.)
Are other things revealed? Very possible. But I am just writing what I have discovered that Jimin has said himself.
Please react to the whole album I beg you,
there is only 4 songs left since u have seen two of the songs already
... I really wanna see ur reaction to the lyrics
I will definitely react to the whole album!
Run BTS and Haegum dance practices🙏🙏
In s.Korean K-pop the fans have frothing meltdowns if their idols have a normal relationship and will not listen to the idol anymore. These baby girls are still in diapers.
지미니같은목소리가있어요?
For future reactions, when it's an song with mv ,please watch the mv first because if you listen to the lyric video first, the song looses its farmec when you watch the mv after. So please react to the mv first, if you want with subtitles on,and then the lyrics video,ok?💜💜💜💜
Please use the official videos for your reactions. They come with subtitles. 💜
