In 2004 photographing that area no cabin on the lock yet and all the signals were still standing. There was an outhouse on top of the bank by the lock.

Another FANtastic video Preston. That big sweeping curve west of route 104 in on my hiking list. Looks like a really cool place from above.
That is a sharp curve! That rail bed slip is a big one also. Some major ground movement going on right there for sure.
I knew this area well 50 years ago, graded the road below the slips, lived there!
Do you live around the area anymore? I know a John Johnson who lives near me.
near the lake@@Paw95
@@johnjohnson-kw9ey yes I know you. I live up hiles road Preston.
Think I was living just west of the big slip when contractor bored under tracts and installed new culvert with metal funnel approach if where I think?
@@johnjohnson-kw9ey that’s a neat way to install a culvert. A company out of Mcdermott does that very thing for the railroad.

I’d say a lot has changed in this area since 2004. Definitely be harder to walk the line in most areas now.
Great video Preston. The years are taking their toll on the east end of the peavine
😊no commend Preston? wat a silence.lol.😂
Unfortunately the drone doesn’t have sound lol. I could narrate on the computer though.
I heard they traded this an some cash to the city of Cincinnati for their line going too chatanoga from cincinati to ns
That’s what was supposed to happen. Haven’t saw the land transfer yet though.
