I remember back in the day bands wouldn't just talk about living in a yellow submarine they would actually build one and live in it and then they would make a full length feature film about it! I think it's pretty obvious that there is a deeper mystical meaning to both that title and Antony's song. But it really is hard to decode which is probably why Antony hasn't played it live in ages. I have a bootleg recording from 2005 where someone in the audience shouts for this song and Antony answers "oh, I can't remember that one". Basically it was a nice studio track but not necessarily something you'd have on your live set, especially after releasing a widely critically acclaimed album and touring for it (the "I Am A Bird Now" album). You want to tone down mystical poetry unless it's an integral part of your body of work.

There's an AJJ lyric that says "… But there's a bad man in everyone No matter who we are There's a rapist and a Nazi living in our tiny hearts" That's how I take it to mean. I don't think Antony is a Nazi sympathizer, I think it's a symbolic. A nazi is one of the worst things someone can be, a monster. I'm sure neo Nazis love the song unironically though.
