Three friends discover a mysterious machine that takes pictures 24 hours into the future. They conspire to use it for personal gain, until disturbing and dangerous images begin to develop.
Seen this film. Very good low budget movie held together wonderfully by the solid acting from the cast. I rate it highly.

Jahbulon Asutavario it looks interesting, but i have a question. maybe you can answer since youve seen it already... if it takes a picture of "tomorrow" how would they be able to make the bets on the races?? i mean, theoretically if you post the winners on the window, the "yesterday" version of you can place the bets, but the "present" day timeline characters, which i;m assuming the film follows wouldnt ever be able to reap the benefits of the device.

You're right, the present day you wont be able to reap the benefits...initially, but when a 'pattern' has been established whereby you (using 'you' in the figurative sense) post the results in front of the camera everynight, you'd get today's result from a photograph of tomorrow.

SPOILERS AND EXPLANATIONS
Look everyone...the story does not have any plot holes, the girl's logic at the end is very good, except for one thing, she thinks she can change the future, which cannot be done. Future can't be changed.
Think of the Future Camera as a camera that photograps another dimension (the future). By those photos you can see what is happening in that dimension. The future Callie sended messages to the present Callie, to tell her what to do for everything to go perfect and her relationship with Finn to be better.
First of all I have to explain, time is a constant loop, it doesnt have a start or an end. It cannot be changed. The outcomes of the future come from the action of the present, and the actions of the present are outcome of the actions of the past.
Callie recieved a message from future Callie which was sayin she should kill Jasper. So she killed Jasper and put the same message in the window. In this time Finn catched her. She explained him everything. But he wanted to leave because Callie was manipulating everything. She was thinking that if she could put a message saying "don't get caught in the window", the "past" Callie would receive the message, she wouldn't get caught by Finn and the reality of the present Callie would be erased. Finn would get up from his bed with his ice and he would hug Callie and they would go away from the house. This is how present Callie thought things would go. But as I said time cannot be changed. We saw that before Jasper died, Finn got the picture of tomorrow from the camera that showed the house being a crime scene. But we also have the image of TODAY taken by weeks ago from dr.B, which showed that TODAY there will be no message in the window, and there would be blood everywhere. And this happened! After Callie put the message in the window, she got arrested by the police, the message fell from the window, and everything went as the photos said.
The future is an outcome of the things we do now, and this film was a perfect explaining and a truly masterpiece.
Everything is all right but when exactly the whole events start happening? When in the future Callie noticed that she had to send a message to the present Callie??

@@anangelofgod2220 In a way destiny screwed them over. Destiny planned futures that didnt seem logical to happen naturally, like Jasper and Callie kissing. So in the same way it seems destiny did manipulate them and their actions with what they would write on their notes to their past selves.
But at the same time it was loophole and paradox free, as every photo always ended up coming true, no matter if they tried or not to make it happen.

I love movies about time travel and I wish there was a way for us to really do it. This is one of the best movies that I’ve ever seen in my life!!
This film is THE BEST and MOST ACCURATE Timemachine Scifi film I have EVER seen. At first I didn't think much of it. The bookie think bothered me a little bit at the beginning, but everything can be explained with "It's a perfect timemachine, but with perfectly imperfect humans!!". Some parts I would reshoot to give the audience at the end a better understanding and bigger aha-moment to round it all up, but everything makes sense, if you notice that everyone gets a little cassandra-crazy at the end and through their misunderstanding of a perfect timemachine, they create their own future.
It would be interesting to know, if there is a "ghost in the (time)machine" or the machine is simply the infinite mirror of causality and intentions. The best description would be a recursive fourier series so it probably no wonder that most people don't get the movie.

City Unseen You mean that shitty indie production, where they use a totally flawed timemachine, that creates doubles which can be killed without consequences to the timestream or the future self. That thing is not even in my Top10. Time Lapse is consistent through an through where you only can except the inevitable future, that you created by looking for a future.

This was really good. I like these lower budget independent time travel movies.
For those who are torn between watching the movie or not bc some comments are like 'it was crap' and other like 'great movie'. I truly believe you should watch it for yourself and judge it yourself, we all have different opinions and no matter the 'most popular opinions' or whatever, your opinion shouldn't be affected by ours. I personally thought it was a great movie, kinda confusing at first and a little sad, but I get it if other people didn't like it.
I just watched a summary of the entire movie. Glad it was condensed to 1:53 for me. Subpar.
The analysis of the characters is that Finn and Jasper are both complete cowards. This was why Callie could manipulate them. Finn knew the right thing to do-call the police or walk away but he was too much of a coward to actually go through with it and let his friends make the decision for him. Jasper from the time he saw the photo of the bookie in the living room was shaking and panicking so much he called the bookie which invited the trouble to come in the first place. Jasper also fell for the trap of "fate" because he wanted to profit off of it but at the cost of what? The cost is not worth it.
In other words they made the events happen as much or maybe more than the camera did so it required their cooperation. I believe nothing can truly be in control of your fate unless you let it happen. As in their case, they should've just broke the machine or walk away when they started to feel something was not right. Being manipulated by a machine or something evil is many times a worse fate than death. Also, it showed you have no dignity as a human.
Everything in this movie happened because of fear of the unknown or what's about to happen which is ironic because it happened exactly because they were afraid of it.
Anyway, I still don't understand how Callie was able to send pictures back to the previous day. If that's the case then shouldn't there be two photos-one of Callie and another one of the actual events. Do the two photos arrive at different times of the day since they were taken at different times? If that's the case then shouldn't Callie be the first one there to receive it?
Can someone tell me again how much of the events she manipulated and how much was just based off of the predictions of the machine?

But out of curiosity we gave this last minute "Netflix and Chill" option a try, even though we knew instinctively what are the chances we would be watching after 15-20mins... Okay so I'm confused about the whole day time photos. When does she get them? She takes them at 8:00am but when does she go to get them? The next morning? And how come she was like "let me take this [day time] photo and none of this would've happened" like it erases memory?
A : when she woke up early and finn asked her about her being up too early
B : because she would send herself a message in the past not to get caught by the window by finn in order not to let finn know about what she's been doing ....but just as simple the paper fell on the ground
*Spoilers* This movie follows the theory that time is always on a set path, and you can't change it. She tried to change time by taking the photo, but time fucked her over by making the picture fall.

One of the best Time movies ever.
This is not the ordinary romantic movies. This movie was simply beautiful. I love how they didn't put a hot muscular guy to play this role. He was an average looking guy. Which I liked even more. I cried so much in the last scene with his dad. It was just so beautiful I can't even put it into words. I am very very glad I watched it. It just shows that every day we should stay positive and enjoy the little things because that is what truly makes us happy.

Time lapse is another B movie that ventures into time and seeing into the future. Because it can be quite a complicated subject it is difficult to get right and in my opinion they failed big time with this one.
The nonsensical story revolves around three young people who find a dead neighbour and his machine that takes photographs of pictures 24 hours before the scene happens . Johnny Jackson lookalike ( George Finn) stars alongside Matt O'Leary and Danielle Panabaker , all three play annoying characters and i realised halfway through i couldn't care less what happened to them.
This was released straight to DVD for a very good reason. It's rubbish.

Great movie for the budget. Surprisingly well made.
Very intriguing, tense and powerful film which explores nature of time dynamics, human relationship and time understanding. It is very thoughtful and prudent but somehow it was satisfied with being small when it could be a bigger film and they could do much more with this concept instead of making it manipulative love triangle story between them. Actors worked well together, their acting was fine, it looks good, script is alright and there are more than few on the edge of my seat moments. What i did not like is that characters make stupid decisions, they just become completely different people in a few days, there are plot holes and they forced the ending so they can wrap up in 10 minutes. Overall 3/5.

nothing against the movie, but what sucks is that in theory this concept sounds so intriguing, yet when you watch the story unfold the shit eventually hits the fan and whatever you hoped you could gain you still end up losing...just once I would it be so cool if this actually worked out, but I guess that is the irony even if we believe that we could change our destiny, the past or the future, there is nothing we can do, because its been cast in stone and eventually whatever we had hoped would happen does not happen because of what we wanted since we are not in control of our own lives and that is the truth, even if we fool ourselves into believing our choices make a difference is does not...there is nothing we can do to change anything and this movie will prove it once again....and if you think I am totally cynical for writing this well then wake up and watch the movie...the outcome remains the same... there is a movie called the butterfly effect, which proved this perfectly...

This is so dumb, if it's set in 1990 I get it but I'm sorry who uses bookies anymore? There's this magic place called the INTERNET for the poor and Vegas for those who can call afford a $300 ticket and a $90 motel room. One friend is in Vegas making the bets in different casinos and the other two stay, get the info and call their friend with the winning dogs, football game, etc.
You pay your taxes and buy a mansion with the leftovers, you have any idea what the IRS will do to you if they found out you have undisclosed winnings in the hundreds of thousands?

I just watched this movie. #1 Nothing like project almanac. I don't know why people are saying it is. In this movie (Tiny spoiler), the pictures ALWAYS show what will happen. The characters change nothing! #2. The way they tell the story and the twists they put in are very clever and make the movie very watchable. #3. The only thing that I didn't really care for is the lack of music to build tension in some places in the movie but I would recommend you watch it if you like time displacement type movies. 7/10 imo.

First of all, i'm happy that I quit the trailer after the first 10 sec in order not to spoil the whole movie.
The movie itself is very interesting. Ofc there are some holes in the whole time-line-travel concept, like why do they need a photo to show them what will happen tomorrow, if they can't change it, but the concept of choosing between doing what the photo says (safe bet) or change it (it can go so wrong) is a nice idea, that will keep you sharp during the whole movie. I was kinda disappointed at first, when I saw the ending, but come to think of it again, it was probably the best ending possible :) So give it a try and no matter what you think about the movie, you will remember it for the rest of your life :) .
Just watched this on Netflix, it's a good movie, has some plot twists in and out, but didn't appeal to me in to what exactly is going on behind everything else.

Can someone explain to me what Callie meant when she told Finn "you won't remember this tomorrow?" When she shot him. How is that? Was she gonna go back in time and not get caught at the window? So she can change what's already been done and bring him back to life??
+Khemie Marcelin if the sign didn't fall off the window before the photo was taken, she would have gotten that pic in advance and know not to get caught at the window and everything after wouldn't have happened.

Lupita Godinez yes, by sending different message to the past self she hoped that she would correct timeline.It is like this... In the present she will write message and when the machine takes the picture it will be picked up by her 24 hours ago.
***** Brown pic indicates that no one moved the curtains in front of the machine in the next 24 hours so there will not be an alternate past.
If the last note didn't fall off, it would have been a different plot for the whole film.
The brown picture in the end was taken by the camera that day, and was the exact same picture the scientist had seen a few weeks ago that made him believe he was going to die. So the irony in the end was that by trying to change the course of time, Callie ended up causing the whole problem.

This is just a damn ripoff of the The Twilight Zone episode "A Most Unusual Camera." Just puking all over Rod Serling's genius.
Be aware, this is not a time travel movie, this is a soap opera love triangle. You could have taken the sci-fi element completely out of the movie and changed almost nothing. So if you like social drama this is a movie you would like, otherwise prob not for you.

Spoiler alert: like 10 people get murdered. Also the whole crisis could have been avoided if She hadn't hid the daytime photos.
