I still think people should have expected Gojo to lose. It’s one of the few options that makes sense narratively. Gojo and Sukuna have little to no relationship. There’s no arc or personal conflict between them. In contrast, Itadori still had serious issues related to Sukuna that needed resolution. So writing wise, it just didn’t make sense for Gojo to win. He still could have drawn, retreated, etc. but it wouldn’t have made sense for him to finish the job.
If Gojo won the series simply couldn't continue, he'd mog Kenjaku lmao, and several people's character arcs (Kashimo, Yuji, Megumi if he comes back somehow) are just sorta upended, Gojo winning would be awful writing

Dude Sukuna almost died like 2 times if it wasn't for the 10 shadows. And why didn't Sukuna just pull out his trumpcard and destroyed Gojo? After that he could just go ahead and kill the rest of the good guys. It just doesn't make sense why he was holding it back and risked dying and being weakened after the fight so the good guys have a better chance.

This was one of the better fights in recent times, it’s a shame that it has to end poorly with an off screen death. Sukuna still the king, but gojo proved he was that guy and also that if he was born in heian era he may have beaten sukuna then. Gojo winning could’ve work, they could’ve gone the brain dmg no domain route which means he wouldn’t be able to beat Kenjaku. Sukuna is also missing a finger so he wouldn’t be dead either. All in all JJK is probably top tier in what’s out and coming out.

My theory was that if Gojo does win, Kenjaku will just come in, sneak attack or kill Gojo and give Sukuna his old body to revive him or something of that sort, which then gives Yuji a fight against OG Sukuna to end the show.

If Gojo wins the manga ends. He needed to die for the story to continue, I mean Kashimo developed a single use curse technique just to fight against Sukuna. There is no way Gojo would win. But I disagree with you guys and Gojo himself that he is weaker than Sukuna. He lost but only because of Mahoraga. When the domains clashed Gojo came on top, cursed technique Gojo came on top, physical combat Gojo came on top(might be because of the black flash but he still was stronger than Sukuna.). The only way Sukuna find to win against Gojo was making Mahoraga adapt to limitless/Red/Blue/Purple/Infinity and convert that in a use for his own technique where he literally cuts outside time-space(hence not showed on screen). The cut literally ignore causality so thematically it CAN'T be shown on screen because it never happened inside "reality" in a way. I think it was very well written and basically the only way to kill Gojo and be consistent with him being "The strongest". Now I agree with you guys that I have no idea how they kill Sukuna and they will have to pull some bullshit way to do(like with Madara) but I hope he can't find a way it would be awesome
Its surprising how ppl got swayed by the agenda and didn't actually read the damn chapters. 1.Sukuna tanked 200% of Gojo's strongest attack like it was nothing, took several reds to the face, blue enhanced punches, survived in Gojo's domain without his sure hit multiple times. Got hit with red twice, a bluepunch and a black flash. Even the one attack he himself was afraid of cause he was weakened didn't put him down. 2.He had the battle of the domains under control and the one time we think he is danger he had a plan the entire time. 3.He controled the countdown to the adaptation and the one time we thought he was in danger he actually had the advantage. 4. When it comes to the attack that killed him the signs were there. Gojo's odd reaction the first time he saw dismantle. Sukuna being able to mimic cursed manip and apply other techniques on his own after seeing it once. Mahoraga doing a slash that looks like Sukuna's and never doing it again? This is how the entire fight went.
U are so wrong about the first point. Sukuna didn't tank it, he got away and he still lost an arm. And he could have died the first time gojo hit him with UV, mahoraga saved him. And after that the fight was just unfair for gojo but he was still 1v3ing and thrashing them all

JJK actually shits on MHA pretty hard. Mahito could potentionally solo the verse, only finding difficulty with stars and stripes, and shiggy. Kenjaku could prob solo easily with his crazy barrier techniques allowing him to keep stronger characters away, and can body hop if he ever gets into a slight amount trouble. Domain Expansions in general are pretty tough to deal with, even Gojo couldnt fully tank Sukuna’s without using simple domain to heal
Mahito is able to be killed by ino When he's outta of cursed energy according to nanami, which means anyone above mach 144 which is everyone above season 2 bakugou and deku 💀 dog walks mahito. Kenjaku gets blitzed and one shot by anyone above s3 deku. Same with sukuna. And Gojo, well infinity. (Gojo still can't even damage s4 deku so he basically just stalemates.)

If he had the 1000 years of preptime like in his own world he’d probably do just fine (because that is his strong suit)

I wouldn’t say he was stronger I’d say he was winning but if you read the fight and pay attention to both characters Sukuna was fine the entire time compared to Gojo who thought he was gonna lose twice before sukuna was even worried once
The ending is still a bit bad, not for gojo but for sukuna, because despite gojo stating sukuna is stronger than him, sukuna is losing most of the fight and in the end has to take gojo by suprise, a better ending is sukuna turning into his true form and bodies gojo with domain amplification, then finish him off with the world cutting dismantle
I like his death, it fits his character and who he is. Plus, going out to space manipulation as Satoru Gojo isn’t a bad death, it’s literally the weakness to his main defense. Sukuna been found this out when he fought him the first time in itadori, he says something like “he’s fast but no it’s not only that” and he starts running saying “jujutsu sorcerers always have lil tricks”. I’ve been holding that line to Sukuna for a while and I’m glad it paid off and I was right, Sukuna read Gojo like a book

Gojo and Sukuna have little to no relationship. There’s no arc or personal conflict between them. In contrast, Itadori still had serious issues related to Sukuna that needed resolution.
So writing wise, it just didn’t make sense for Gojo to win. He still could have drawn, retreated, etc. but it wouldn’t have made sense for him to finish the job.
If Gojo won the series simply couldn't continue, he'd mog Kenjaku lmao, and several people's character arcs (Kashimo, Yuji, Megumi if he comes back somehow) are just sorta upended, Gojo winning would be awful writing

Dude Sukuna almost died like 2 times if it wasn't for the 10 shadows. And why didn't Sukuna just pull out his trumpcard and destroyed Gojo? After that he could just go ahead and kill the rest of the good guys. This was one of the better fights in recent times, it’s a shame that it has to end poorly with an off screen death.
Sukuna still the king, but gojo proved he was that guy and also that if he was born in heian era he may have beaten sukuna then.
Gojo winning could’ve work, they could’ve gone the brain dmg no domain route which means he wouldn’t be able to beat Kenjaku. Sukuna is also missing a finger so he wouldn’t be dead either.
All in all JJK is probably top tier in what’s out and coming out.

If Gojo wins the manga ends. He needed to die for the story to continue, I mean Kashimo developed a single use curse technique just to fight against Sukuna. There is no way Gojo would win. But I disagree with you guys and Gojo himself that he is weaker than Sukuna. He lost but only because of Mahoraga. When the domains clashed Gojo came on top, cursed technique Gojo came on top, physical combat Gojo came on top(might be because of the black flash but he still was stronger than Sukuna.). The only way Sukuna find to win against Gojo was making Mahoraga adapt to limitless/Red/Blue/Purple/Infinity and convert that in a use for his own technique where he literally cuts outside time-space(hence not showed on screen). The cut literally ignore causality so thematically it CAN'T be shown on screen because it never happened inside "reality" in a way. I think it was very well written and basically the only way to kill Gojo and be consistent with him being "The strongest". Now I agree with you guys that I have no idea how they kill Sukuna and they will have to pull some bullshit way to do(like with Madara) but I hope he can't find a way it would be awesome

1.Sukuna tanked 200% of Gojo's strongest attack like it was nothing, took several reds to the face, blue enhanced punches, survived in Gojo's domain without his sure hit multiple times. Got hit with red twice, a bluepunch and a black flash. Even the one attack he himself was afraid of cause he was weakened didn't put him down.
2.He had the battle of the domains under control and the one time we think he is danger he had a plan the entire time.
3.He controled the countdown to the adaptation and the one time we thought he was in danger he actually had the advantage.
4. When it comes to the attack that killed him the signs were there. Gojo's odd reaction the first time he saw dismantle. Sukuna being able to mimic cursed manip and apply other techniques on his own after seeing it once. Mahoraga doing a slash that looks like Sukuna's and never doing it again?

Kenjaku could prob solo easily with his crazy barrier techniques allowing him to keep stronger characters away, and can body hop if he ever gets into a slight amount trouble. Domain Expansions in general are pretty tough to deal with, even Gojo couldnt fully tank Sukuna’s without using simple domain to heal
Mahito is able to be killed by ino When he's outta of cursed energy according to nanami, which means anyone above mach 144 which is everyone above season 2 bakugou and deku 💀 dog walks mahito.
Kenjaku gets blitzed and one shot by anyone above s3 deku.

I just think the way it happened is lame as hell and poorly written. A mid ending for what would otherwise be my favorite fight in manga.

You're correct. I'd say the same if sukuna died from the first time he got hit with UV, it would have been aweful writing. If sukuna died last chapter it would have been the perfect death, but nooo we overestimated gege's rational thinking :facepalm:
