Good stuff to be sure! I’d recommend; however, that shavers kick the Dawn soap-soak to the curb. A great clarifying shampoo (designed specifically for hair) is a much better alternative. Cheers!
Great idea to use baby shampoo. So far I used a very mild and pure russian shampoo (best I ever used for brushes) which I am slowly running out of (can not get it any more because of sanctions here in Germany). I have to admit I never thought of using baby shampoo as a substitute (not the section in my supermarket I visit often) and it works perfect. Thanks man!
Great video with lots of tips. I use a clarifying shampoo to clean my brushes when needed (rarely), I have never seen mold in any of my brushes, some Boar ones are 8 years old.👌🤠👌
Yeah, I guess some of my first brushes are about 8 yo, too. Never thought about that!! I do almost wish I had a smaller brush collection, just so that I would spend more uses on some boars and get them to that amazingly split stage by now.
@@brianmccarthy1322 I've never found any kind of comb to be necessary except in the rare case of a horse brush. But it probably would have been good to mention it. Also I just hesitate to recommend shampoo globally because some people might not know how to check for conditioner ingredients in their shampoo. But yeah it's definitely a good option if you can check it properly.
Great video! I use same procedures and worked out well. I take a synth on vacay - quicker to dry and no soaking. Works for me.
Great video, thanks Ravi

Great conversation my friend! I always sling the knot to take the water out, I still need to learn more about brushes and knots but this video helped!
vinegar soak works wonders. IMO especially for horse hair
Agree

I flick the Water out by holding the base of the knot and the handle at same time
In my experience, Those high density animal hair knots take about 3 days or so to fully dry
@@RonnieYates that wouldn't surprise me

Another option is using shampoo and a large gap comb to clean the brushes.

Johnson's baby shampoo.
Yes, that looks like it would work too, thank you!
