Flash Time: Cold Steel Espada XL that's been blinged out. 😎 The "Pruning Stage" is hard to actually EXECUTE. Identifying stuff that's "meh" or even "blech" is fairly easy. Actually sending it down the road, not so easy. It absolutely 100% is SH I NOLA, as in "she is shy", not SHIN, as in "ouch!! I just banged my shin".
I work in web marketing... And we are ALL be putting products in our web carts, waiting for the email discount to pop in. It's just smart. EVEN MORE useful right before the november's cyberweek / black friday period. I once worked somewhere where everyone in the office bought their christmas gifts for friends and family that way.
My son used to collect watches, knives, suits, pocket watches, pew pews, pens, guitars, whiskey, wine, cars, bikes etc haha. After he stopped working PSD and didnt care to maintain an image anymore, and a ceiling height of quality could be lowered, he doesnt really care or miss the fancy stuff he says. Hes one of my sons that brought me to usn gathering, blade show, sema, shot show, etc. When he sold his watch collection, both wrist and poc? His fancy pens, his bibles? lighter collection...he cleared a few M. I was shocked at that. His suits from hawks from sev row, hed be gifted watches and etc from employers... Gone is the gt3 rs, now he drives a R32 GTR Skyline. No more g wagon, now he drives a LC79. No more rolex or 1 of 1 custom built watches, just a brownish gshock or a us gov marathon watch. He said his spartan cqb, his benchmade griptilian, and esee 6 will do anything he needs done. No more fancy pew pews with engraving and colors....just a simple PSA Sabre Dagger. And a Micro Dagger for his EDC carry needs. A Marlin in 30-06. an 870 pumper. No more massive house in socal. Just a tinyhouse under a rv port of a shop building, on 100 acres....he has cnc machines, and etc in the shop. He makes and smiths stuff, maintains eq for his local PD. My new carry due to LBD sales, are an alpaka tech case, in purple with orange interior, I did green zippers, and an evangelion unit 1 zipper pull, and godzilla zipper pull. A 500L coast pen light in green, just had a blade done in ube purple, and got custom green handles for that griptilian. Waiting on my multitool I sent off to get purple and greened. alien green and purple splatter space pen, field notes expedition notebook with neon green cover, a limited run for a local group of guys IIRC, my son got me about 4 packs. so rotating notebooks in with the regular orange/black expedition notebooks. And I just got a blacked out milwaukee UTL knife from a distributor. anyhoots, folks shouldnt get to crazy. buy what you need and appreciate everything else. Moderation! I met a guy at blade show whos wife divorced him due to his EDC and patch collecting. he racked up too much debt over edc and gear....
Another EDC channel said, if you werent sure if a particular item was something you wanted to try out,.. dont spend more than 2hrs of pay on it.... if you earn 20/hr, buy a the $40 knife.... and if you REALLY like it... then save up for the "PREMIUM" version of that knife/item. it's helped me pace my spending 😅
I earn around 160 an hour and rarely spend over 75 on my purchases for edc. It's nice not having expensive taste and lots of the stuff I want is around the 40-50 mark
For me any company that puts Milspec in their ad copy is giving massive red flags. Since I bought my Microtech Ultratech a few years ago, It's been the only knife I carry.
If this was a channel all about bars and which ones are good to drink at you could be called “Bernard the Bar Nerd” 😂 (Sorry. I will see myself out now)
i just BoughtHard a $275 compass made of titanium and sapphire for my birthday. why? i don't know. something i can pass down to the next generation. my next BoughtHard purchase will be a AroundSquare item, probably a mkultra, just not sure which yet.
If your watch costs more than the average family’s car you’re probably doing something wrong. If your watch costs more than the average family’s house then you’ve probably got so much money you can do whatever the F you want anyway
Teale designs tools makes the coolest brass carabiners ive seen.

I find myself looking for a small form factor flashlight with a defensive strobe feature.
Side note, my favorite slim knife carry right now.... i alternate with the CS Air Lite and the Vitorinox Bantam Alox
