In the middle of May this year I had the life time pleasure of making daunting journey to Penzance from Paddington ( Cornish Riviera ), and it fulfilled my dreams after growing up reading and seeing pictures of stations and engines tackling the banks. So thanks for the effort of making these videos and reliving much of the journey again. Back in the 80s I used to travel to Cardiff frequently and that's covered by you. Not looking forward to the Hitachi's on future visits after HSTs are gone, though be interesting how they cope with Devon banks? Many thanks and now find another journey to watch, and by the way I put the audio through the stereo via a DAC into an 80W Linn amp and pump up the volume...HEAVEN.
I remember going on holiday to Marazion many years ago when it had a station it was a pleasure to see the video showing the sea wall outside Penzance passing through Long Rock onto Marazion.Many Happy Memories.Keep those lovely Cornish videos coming.
Sad to think videos like this are a thing of the past as it's no longer possible to lean out the window as the full hst sets are gone & the door changes to the mk3 carriages on the new 'castle' sets.
