Excellent video. Is it possible to do the same thing with other open chord shapes like E major and E minor to play all the chords in the scale of E? I’ll have to experiment.
Taylor, This is so much easier than using each chord shape in the "caged" system. I'm thinking that after practicing all of the chords this way, that playing a progression "up the neck" a lot easier and fluid!
Thanks a lot for the excellent lesson. I really appreciate yours lessons and every one of them. You are a great musician and a great teacher too. You are number one 1⃣. Thank you again. What is your name please?
3:12 (I) A major 4:02 (ii) b minor 7 add 11 4:33 (iii) c# minor add ♭13 5:00 (IV) D major add 9 5:27 (V) E major add 11 5:59 (vi) f# minor 7 6:49 (♭VII) G major add 9, 11 7:35 (I) A major Very nice sequence. You inspired me to figure out all of the extended diatonic chords. I can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier.
Hey Chad! That third pattern on the PDF is definitely a more complex one, it covers 8 beats total which is why it may look a bit different than usual : )

This is great - thank you! Something off with the 3rd strumming pattern in the practice guide?

Hi Taylor I love your videos on the series so much I have become a new subscriber, I was wondering if you had done these in the keys of C & F.
Thank you, love these lessons. Typo "chord progression - key of E" instead of key of A.
So is the root note for all these chords on the G string ?
Is there a song I could play that uses these cords?
I can't find the pdf
You can locate the PDF in the description below the video : ). You may need to click "more" to see the full description and all the links!
You are great teachers i don’t know how much it cost I don’t know how To keep it on my phone but thanks
