- This is Episode 5 of our D&D Story: Our First Adventure: Was It Only A Dream, our very first adventure into the World of Dungeons and Dragons. Here we tell a D&D Story of our first ever adventure. We play the game and then turn it into a D&D story for your enjoyment.
This D&D Story is very close to our party's heart as for many of us it was our first ever DnD Adventure. This was a Home Brew Campaign and a special shout-out must go to our DM for putting it all together and keeping us entertained!
In Episode 5 Was It Only A Dream, we continue to follow our adventurers as they set off on their journey to find the missing Barbarians. Will they find them? Who knows! But what I do know is this one-shot has so far lasted 7 Episodes, so don't forget to keep an eye out for future episodes!

I truly am enjoying this story. I'm guessing it is a tale of a campaign you are/were actually a part of. If the other members of your group are up for it, it might be fun to have them as guests in future episodes. They might give us a deeper insight into their characters. The DM could drop in some lore, as well, and perhaps let us in on details the party overlooked along the way. For instance, was there more to be acquired in the mysterious keep of this episode? Was there a meaning behind the empty portraits? My curiosity is decidedly piqued.
Hey Old Soldier! It was indeed a campaign, the parties first ever campaign (mostly) into the World of D&D!
Every Episode covers roughly 1x 3-4 hour session. This episode only 3 of us could attend so the DM improvised a session hence the story not continuing and it being more of a standalone episode.
We are looking at a few options, firstly at the end of the Camapign having a few episodes in which I interview the players/characters (including a ‘Day’ with the DM). For example this was a 3-4 hour one shot the DM had put together, which lasted us nearly 10x 3-4 hour sessions.....lol.
Also I’ll be doing an episode at the end explaining the character mindsets, how if they did something out of character, why etc!
Plus we’ve JUST started our 2nd Campaign where we will pick up where this one eventually leaves off!

@@Bitesize_Geek Cool! I'm looking forward to more. You do a great job telling the tale. But, it's always fun to get different perspectives of events. Every person sees the same things in a different way.
As DM for this group, once the story is concluded I would be more than happy to share my own version of how things originally were supposed to go and lay down some of the lore and give a behind the scenes sort of explanation of what my original vision was, as this was an entirely self written story... this episode was an intermission because the majority of the party couldn't make the session, so I threw it together in about 45 minutes, but it ended up being a really fun evening. Your support and appreciation really means a lot, and I know it means a lot to Ryan and the channel as well :)
