I know I'm late to the party responding to this video but I just purchased two Strada 2's for L & R and the TR-3D 10" Gallo sub. I'll buy the center for them later but I heard because of the soundstage they present, you really don't necessarily have to have the center. Later also, I'll buy a 2nd sub though that is up for debate. The guy at the place I heard them blew me away with the amazing clarity & sound stage they presented. With just the 3 speakers it felt like a surround sound system as the music felt it was coming from multiple angles and locations. Its the 180 degree CDT3 tweeter that makes this possible. I just hope I will get enough oomph from the sub that I desire when watching movies. I'll be picking them up in a couple days. Cant wait.
Hi Ron. Greetings from the UK. I would be very interested in you doing a segment with these satellites but with some different sub options e.g. SVS or REL. Keep up the good work.
Good review. I had a set of Gallo 3.1 and they were not one of my favourite speakers. I felt they lacked detail but that is just me. Love the way they looked.
Great review!!! subbed. I'm considering these among some others - would love to hear your thoughts in case you've come across the others. I'm focusing on a 2.1 format, though many (most) of the options out there seem to be packaged as 5.1. Here is my list at the moment: - Gallo A'Diva - Gallo Strada/TR3 in this review - Focal "Dome" 2.1 - KEF 2005.2 - Paradigm Millenia One 2.1 On the other end of the options, I'm also thinking of some monitors (either with or without sub). Bottom line is I'm needing to get the floorstanders out of the space but don't want to compromise on sound
Ron, I love all of your video reviews. Please, please, please, do a video review of the Reference 3.1's. I know they are long out of production, but there is a steady supply of 3.1's coming on the various auction sites every week at prices us mere mortals can actually afford. It would be great service for those of us on the fence to have a high quality video review to turn to. Besides, if you can do a review of a vintage Yamaha, why not review the Gallos? Thanks and keep up the good work.
could you give me any recommendations on what kind of amp best suits them? I am currently running them on a sprout 100 but feel I might need an upgrade . . . I am considering the yamaha as 2100. Also I wonder if tubes where a good match (I have zero experience with tubes)
Can you comment on that even though they are in an enclosure the Gallo Classico 4's are similar or much different to the Gallo Strada 2 and TR3?? They should do a much better job integrating the highs and lows at least but at what cost?
+PantryPro I use Strata 2 up front and Classico 2 in the rear. Both sound great with the Strata 2's being more open. They disappear like no other loudspeaker.
Great video man, great job! I was almost going to buy the B&W MT60D package to be used with Denon 4520CI. Would you rather recommend them for a bedroom area of about 275 sq feet? Movies to Music ratio is about 50:50. Your suggestion will be more than appreciated. :)
+NewRecordDay Actually it's an L shape room (which I know is not recommended, but the best I can do atm) measuring 13x23 feet. The system will be used/placed on the wall measuring 13 feet.
Hi! I am planning of purchasing a gallo speaker and having trouble deciding. Which of these speaker sounds better over all, reference AV($1,041) or Strada 2 ($999). The reference AV has 55-35 khz while the strada 2 starts from 68-20khz. That tells me that reference AV has deeper bass and higher tone. Anyways please tell me a deciding factor on this two speaker. I would really appreciate it. I will be powering them with Anthem Mrx 710. Thanks Sent from my iPhone

+veteq101 Its interesting, I feel detail is one of their biggest strengths.
I found the Strada 2 extremely detailed.

The look impressive to say the least.

I'm actually selling mine as well.
D these have a warm sounding sound? even though detailed
Yep! Great speakers.

Give them serious power and you will be rewarded! The Yamaha would work well!
2 SVS subs in stereo would result in magic

PantryPro I wish I knew! I would love to hear the Classico line...

Where are the speaker cables from?

Aakash Narang What are the actual dimensions of the room?

Strata 2 vs B&W 606 with their matching subwoofers?

Hey Ron! Just wondering... how do these fare after all these years.
so do you like them😃
great review and lol, that ending was funny,
+Gustavo Maia Thanks!
How are the volume/spl level on the gallo strada 2's?.
I sent an email to the gallos website but i have never received any answer. I just wanted some opinion and i thought i should ask someone here.
I've got the option to buy some Anthony Gallo Dues, do you have any views on them?
I’ve never heard them
at 8:49 was that a turntable made by dual?
The one on the right?
Any updates on new Gallos?
+MrMilanina Reached out to Bill a few weeks ago and he said they are still 6-8 months away.
What are the bass traps you have? custom?
+KillerW0mbatt GIK acoustics
3:1 ftw 😊
Can't imagine that these would be able to out perform my Von Schweikert VR4's
Lol lol lol
You are a dork😂🙄😏. I love it !
Keep up the good work.
your are a perfectionist ,but what about a listening.
chuck norris Not sure what you mean.
+chuck norris Chuck...this is a REVIEW, not an AUDITION. Also, FYI....Ron does post sound samples from time to time. You can find them by subscribing.
+phantasm1004 You don't need to subscribe for that...
My kids would brack it
Didn't have any money left for the console 🤣
