nice explanation you,re an excellent teacher it is a shame that this type of generic information is not a part of basic diving certification Top me , it is asafety concers as such a knowledge car prevent a panic situation in the case of an equipment that is not performing as it should.. excellent topic very good video

Excellent video, I have a question. I suppose that the air pressure is at 150 psi when the air gets outside the filter? Or at least in the first chamber before reaching the diagram? Thanks!
The pressure in the 2nd stage intermediate pressure (IP) can be from 120 to 150 psi depending on make. Just to make sure you're clear, tank air at say 3000 psi passed through the sintered air filter into the HP chamber and stops. Whey you inhale, it opens the diaphragm/piston chamber to let in HP air which is reduced to IP at 150 and down the 2nd stage how to your reg and mouth. Hope this helps. A

My Genesis Prana Regs use a Piston. And are Rated to 50F.
Most regs today are rated to 50F/10C without modification. Anything colder needs ice diving training and gear. Go Pistons!
