I'd have been going there on Saturday. As-it-is, I've now passed lesson three, and have graduated to the bottom of the main slope at CF. Next lesson is the same time - 10am - next Thursday. On a side note the beginner slope is a 10 degree gradient, and the main slope is a 15 degree gradient. Don't know what resort colour that make's them. With that information, I'll keep an eye on you gradient info in the bottom left corner from now on. Getting some Salomon 70 flex boots this next week.

Wow, congratulations, you are making great progress. Very happy for you and the new boots sound ideal with the 70 flex. 10 degrees is a blue and 15 degrees is a mild red. Most of my footage is in %, which is different to degrees. Here is one of my older videos showing this and I used to have both degrees in % until I changed software. @@ChasingSnow Thanks, small steps forward is all I can do. Need to do some work on commitment on the down hill ski so the upper ski is happy to drift in, but that just need's practice, and looking back my turns are S's. Your run info maybe in percentages, but they also give me and others an idea of the slopes steepness. Salomon also do a QTS boot in 80 flex, so I'll use their contact form to get some product info from them.
The S+R guy says the 70 flex boot will do me for all the lessons, and for a couple of years, so they'll do for a years CF practice, and all-being-well then a couple of resort holidays before I upgrade to a stiffer flex, and my first set of skis to go with them. I can afford to buy high end like Stockli, or mainstream like Head/Atomic/K2 ... but time for that.

@@PuzzoozooIn the end, it's really about getting as much practice as you can and good thing, you can do that at CF all year round...

@@ChasingSnow That's the plan, post graduating lesson 6 a years practice at CF working on my technique, and then book into a resort for some more practice and maybe a days lesson on real slopes.

I just put whatever is on the piste map. If it says red, that's what I use.

@@ChasingSnow sorry, I have nothing against it. however this is used to attract customers... I think they are green??? it's frustrating for expert skiers!!

@@AnonymeFRYes, I understand, it happens a lot but it's easier for me just to use what is on the map. If people disagree they can argue with the resort rather than me...
