So much information in a short time. I am so glad this is a video I can rewatch as many times as it takes for me to absorb it. I love it. Thank you for this in-depth tutoriial!
Amazing video!! Thank you so very much for the great info!! Love the geiking out on it, I have been googling each of those categories so I am very grateful for your video,
So much good information, a great deal to disseminate (for me, at least). This will make things so much easier for all of us in the long run so thanks so much for sharing your vast amount of knowledge - it is direly needed (at least as far as I'm concerned).
This has to be the BEST video I’ve seen explaining the oil profiles. I love learning what each type offers and how to create some amazing bars for me. I’m a hobbyist so cost isn’t too much of a worry. Lol. But Thank you for sharing this great info!!!
Should have just kept watching your series instead of commenting on your last one! Lol I’m bingeing this 🤣 I have yet to make my first CP soap but I’m doing a lot of research! Love this series, it’s so helpful!!
Thanks so much for this. I've just watched videos 1 - 4 and learned a huge amount. I have watched others but no one is as thorough and confident as you! May I just clarify - you ignore trace entirely and just look at emusion? Also, how long would you leave this particular soap for? - you didn't mention that. Thanks again
have you done a video on the differences between aquamarines, micas, dyes, liquid colorants, etc.? And why some are not good for bath bombs, soaping while others are??? I am sooooo confused about all of that. THANK YOU for how to get the most out of soapcalc.
OMG a I have been using soapcalc for years and never realised if you click on an oil it gives you that oils properties…all this time I’ve been putting an oil I. At 100% to get the info…I feel such a dumbass 🤣 thank you for sharing this video. I wasn’t going to watch this as I’ve been looking at fatty acid profiles for years, but as they say, everyday is a school day 💕💕
Honestly I cheated...you didn't have you long sleeves on lol Thank you so much for doing this virgin soaper learning the things to make the soapy stuff
Not really; that ratio depends on the soapmaker and what they prefer in a soap. Unsaturated fats are generally the liquid oils, and the saturated are the solids (which tend to lend to a higher cleansing number and bigger bubble).
@@vee8022 hi! Late reply! In theory, yes, more liquid oils can = thinner batter, but you have to be careful where it can also product a softer bar, slimier lather, etc etc. you still want to keep those numbers well balanced. Mrs has shared a couple recipes for swirls blends in the past here on the channel, try a couple of those out to get a feel for it and then try making your own blends!
Seriously, soapcalc is not as scary as it looks, and it’s a really powerful tool for you to learn. It’s all about that fatty acid profile, baby!

Soapcalc really did look scary at first and I learned to use more pages than just the calc part today. Thank you 💖🥰
I’m so glad!

I started making CP soap about a month ago, and this is an AWESOME series. Thank you!

Hey! I did! It was a few weeks ago at this point; I put it in the FAQ playlist.
@@MrsSoapAndClay okay, there was a point in time where UA-cam lost all my alerts for new videos...I will check it out!!! Awesome and thank you.

Is there in ideal ratio of Sat:Unsat? Like does 50:50 mean a well balanced recipe?
Not really; that ratio depends on the soapmaker and what they prefer in a soap. Unsaturated fats are generally the liquid oils, and the saturated are the solids (which tend to lend to a higher cleansing number and bigger bubble).
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you! I have been thinking that 50:50 meant well balanced. So if I had more liquid oils would my recipe stay thinner longer?
