Because of the misunderstanding, Bidam believed that the queen wanted him dead, and that because of her status as queen. So he thought that if he dethrones her, he will be able to get her. Honestly, I think that the queen should have showed him more of her feelings, she could have kissed him at least once. He was doubting her feelings, and that was the reason, why the others could manipulate him to do what they wanted him to do.
