Thank you so much for making this video about the float on a Mercury 35 horsepower. Our motor was slightly different but it gave me the confidence to tackle the job. It helped tremendously and thanks again. Have a great day
Thanks for the video I just bought one for $50.00 with controls and a stand, He took the throttle actuator off of it for another outboard, it has 155 lbs of compression in both cylinders
Good video but you did not replace that broken gasket on top of the float bowl. Mine is broken as well can you just run with out it or do you have to replace or use RVT
@@outboardsandtoys8413 thanks so much. I've tore it down and don't see an issue. The float floats the needle seem to move freely also. I'm going to put it back together and see what I get. Can you point me in a direct to get parts? I keep finding stuff but nothing that looks right. I really appreciate your help
Question regarding your shift shaft linkage. I see at about minute 11:51 only one arm of the shift shaft is hooked up to the shift cable. The other arm appears to have nothing attached. Is this normal for this motor? I have been trying to find how this hooks up but cant find anything after many days of searching... So maybe it connects to nothing?
I know this is an older video, but did you happen to know what year this motor was? I just picked up the same exact model yesterday and it needs a starter
I'm working on a friends 35 hp and when i started to remove the mounting bracket the that the ele.pack is mounted on..& choke goes into..the choke cylinder was laying on the bottom of the housing(i think the guy who worked on it before me broke it off)...with it broken...All he needs to do is work the choke manually....correct? TIA
@@outboardsandtoys8413 looks like hose clamp marks on the hose, I guess if it is a hose clamp back there. hopefully the top cam move up enough to take the clamp off
Hello there. Question: I have this carb exactly on a 35 HP merc. as well. I followed your tutorial while taking it off , cleaning and re-installation. There is a steady bead of fuel coming from the bottom of the carb. Is there a seal kit for this carb? I did not see you put one back on. Great video!!
