I've been watching videos on your channel for some years now, they're exceptionally relaxing and somehow I wish I knew how to get into this craft earlier in my life.
However one question I never saw an answer to: what happens to all the filing dust? Is it collected for each piece? Is it collected all together? Gold and silver? Melted into something?
Jewellers collect the dust and all the other little scraps and it is remelted into ingots to make new pieces with :)

Some people melt it to an ingot. Some don’t and send it to refinery. It is a bit of a risk to melt filings as it could be contaminated. Which on its turn can make your metal impure and crack or the color is not right
