So I bought the bob smith epoxy because I’m doing a cup that someone paid for but everytime I mix it, it gets extremely hot and hardens. Idk what I am doing wrong. The first time it happen I thought it was because I accidentally left it near my lamp while I was working but this time I made sure to keep it away from the lamp and the same thing happened. What can I do to prevent it from happening? Did you have this same problem? It’s frustrating because I keep wasting a lot of product because it’s harden within 5 minutes of me mixing it

If you mix too much at a time it can get hot. I only do small amounts at a time like two dime size amounts. Also the warmer the environment the faster it cures and hardens.

Ahh okay so maybe I’m mixing too much but I thought I was doing pretty small amounts I think the first time a did like 20ml and then the second time I did 10 ml. So should I do smaller than 10?

After the cup is completed how long do you let it sit? People say 1 week but does yours go faster with the different adhesive?

It varies on adhesive. For the one I’m using here it cures in 6-8 hours.

When you spray paint, do you sand in-between coats of paint?

I only sand before paint and the vinyl names ✨💎if you have uneven spots you can sand them down.

How many bags and what sizes of the stones does it take to cover the whole cup?

You need around 3500 stones . Some bags come in 1400 (10 gross) or bags of 1000.
