I went out yesterday with a buddy. We saw them down there but could not get any bites! I'm new to ice fishing and wanna learn more. Thanks for the videos
Great day out there buddy! It’s going to be a great year on the ice for sure! We’re just getting warmed up. Let’s get out there soon and chase those walleye. I’m going to try by the spillway and see what happens. Love the video man!
Hell yeah Scott, got into some good ones man. It's the best when you get em going on the bead like that and the more you bring that spoon up and down they more they hammer. I have had 6 trips so far brought home fish 4 times with 2 limits. Gonna be a great ice year man. I'll be on lsc and sag bay chasing perch and walleye. Sag bay is the place for a true giant perch. Thanks for sharing glad you got them
@JimBowSlice I'd love to get on some on the bay for sure. I've attempted multiple times to get on walleye and perch on the bay, but unfortunately, I don't have a machine to get out. So I stick to the river come ice season
@ScottHillOutdoors pinconning road 3/4 of mile straight out off the end of pinconning Park. I caught 25 perch one was 15 inches 2 weeks ago and I caught 8 walleye only 4 were keepers 6 fow. The eyes came in the last hour of the day. The bay can be fickle for someone on foot but I've never had a machine either and have been lucky enough to eventually start to figure the bay out. I live in the perfect spot. Hour 15 to saginaw bay and 55 minutes to lake st clair. Im the oppisite i get spooked off the river easy.
I got rid of my flasher after picking up a marcum pursuit camera, it's a true game changer, you can keep your bait away from the dinks. Also I learned a ton of what really happens when schools come in, I dont miss any bites. I used to think that perch hug the bottom and come up for my bait, they actually come in from the side at bait height . Plus I can record all my action with the in unit dvr.
Sportsman Direct said the best bite was in 5-6, but is it like walleye fishing , where the traffic drives them out ? On Erie; we we go 12 miles out to be alone people will go past us, like everyone thinks they have to be the farthest on. By mid season the bite is only 3 miles out.
Oh yeah! Nice video. I got only 2 this day. I remember your video at Metro when there was the stacked ice underneath and killed it. Big ones today at Day Sail tomarrow maybe too. Back to work for me.

@mikebertram619 I generally get out by 530- 6, but the heavy rain convinced me to hold up
