I got a box yesterday and now they put the items that need to be kept cold in an insulated bag with the ice! It is a good service for the price!
I’m looking to try some of these services after I got my first one, which was Gobble. I was extremely impressed. Absolutely delicious and very quick. Maybe you should do Gobble next. I highly recommend it!
We haven't tried Gobble yet. We always keep going back to home chef, mainly because we like the menu. Reading the website, Gobble seems a lot like Terras Kitchen, everything is prepared and ready in the box.

Dinnerly is actually, Marley Spoon. Which I was super disappointed with due to poor customer service, because the produce always came in very poor conditions. There were cuts of meat that seemed to be poor quality. The bread was hard the next day. For value, I didn't feel worth it. Although, I did receive hard to get spices.

Dinnerly will change your entire order at their discretion. I purchased this for my 21 year old son. The orders were selected to be simple to prepare and things he would like. The order was changed without our knowledge. Emails weresent from Dinnerly with a subject line saying "Get excited for next weeks recipes! Choose your next tasty dinners." Since we had already chosen the meals, there was no reason to pay attention to the emails. Even if you did click on the emails, it just shows please click here to update your box, NO CLEAR STATEMENT THAT WE CHANGED YOUR ORDER TO OUR CHEFS SELECTION FOR YOU. Finally the 1st email came on the 5th and by the 6th Dinnerly had already processed the order. Called them and they said so sorry, but cut-off date has passed and your credit card has been charged. They told me they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. We cancelled all future orders, and will contact our credit card company to dispute. Don't go with them, just not worth it. Also, in order for Dinnerly to keep cost down they do not print recipe cards, you have to go online for them, also you must have extra supplies at home to complete meal. So it can be complicated to make everything, you can just as easily go to the grocery and find your own recipes online.
We use them and have had pretty good luck so far! I don't mind not having printed cards, I just use my phone. I assumed they were doing this to be "green".
@@1D10CRACY I ordered this for my son who lives in another state and has a limited kitchen. I didn't know he did not get recipe cards. He didn't know that there were recipe cards online. With the 1st box he just tried to figure out what to make, but the orders were simple so he used most of the food:D. I also pre-selected boxes for weeks in advance. I was concluded that I may not have hit save for the 2nd box which contained things I did not order. If you do not properly save your order Dinnerly will pick something for you. Dinnerly gave me a refund for the 2nd box as it was clear that I had pre-ordered for several weeks, so it was very clear that a mistake had happened. So I am happy with the outcome, but I did cancel Dinnerly. I think you can prepare meals for $4.99 on your own, with your own recipes. Dinnerly has an advantage for the single person in that there is no was, so maybe in the future we will go back.

Right! It's almost as if they include a normal portion of food per person!
It may not seem like a lot but it is sufficient! We all eat too much as it is! I like the portion control!
Peggy Richards I agree the U.S. is overweight and our portions are hugeeee. If this is sufficient enough for you that’s good, but I don’t over eat and am small and that’s a snack not a meal.... not filling at all! Everyone that I’ve seen getting any of these boxes has been saying that. It’s not worth it imo. Better to just shop and cook yourself. Even for the convenience its not worth it if you just have to make yourself food anyway an hour later lol.

@@sundragon1976 You must eat a LOT then, go to McDonald and its a quarter pounder, not a pounder, sure you can get a double qt pounder (half pound) but that is way too much. I am stating all this for reference. More does not equal better.
