On me it lasts 9 hours until it becomes a skin scent. I dont like intense, in-your-face perfumes so I appreciate that it doesn't offend people like many fragrances i've worn. This one got me a lot of compliments. I love it.
This is probably one of the best zara fragrances in regards to performance. I put this on at 7:55AM and 4:09PM this scent is still radiating off of my skin
I have this. The scent and performance are MUCH MUCH better if you press the atomizer very softly and slowly to get all the juice on the skin, concentrating it, rather than so much of it dissipating into the air with a fast hard press. It’s a fabulous fall and winter fragrance. Love it. Instead of comparing it to other scents, I’d prefer you’d just review it based on its own merit.
I can’t stand Angels Share but I actually really like Zara’s version. Angels share is just too strong and cloying but I find this one more subtle and actually really comforting and enjoyable. Can’t speak to performance. 9/10
I hate cloying, stickly sweet fragrances, they just pierce my head like perforating knitting needles traveling from my nose to my crown, they really make me feel sick. I love Zara "Sunrise on red sand dunes" and almost bought "Sand Desert at sunset" by mistake... (similar confusing long names). I was affraid it was too sweet then, I will give it a go. I hope you guys are being honest about it. If it is too cloying, I'll wrap it and give it as Christmas gift.
Hey so I had a thought: you've been doing cool things with how you present the note breakdowns and scent profiles. What if you popped a number in the corner that was like "This is how many sprays I use"? It'd set a baseline for performance and kinda tell us about how to tastefully wear each scent. Just an idea. Keep the cool stuff coming.
I disagree, it easily lasts on me 8 hours, projects quite a lot and when I first sprayed it in store it immediately reminded me of Angels share not to mention it's the same perfumer..
Some of that leakage could be from the heat during shipping helping increase the pressure inside the bottle. Then the cap also creates pressure, being a slide on. Then when you remove the cap, it pulls vacuum on the atomizer, pulling some of the fragrance out…that had been forced into the atomizer due to increased pressure build up in the shipping process. I fix things for a living lol. It’s a seal problem in the atomizer. Probably a plastic seal that isn’t soft enough.
After watching so many comparisons of Angels' Share clones, I'm just going to buy a 7.5mL of the real thing & I'll decide whether I want to go all in on a full bottle whenever it runs out. At this point, I'm just tired of needing a buying guide & a million opinions to figure out which clone is closest or which one is a twist but the best one when I've already smelled the original and know I love it. Not the best deal on price per mL, but it'll probably save me from buying 5 different clones in the long run
I have the first batch of it where the name of the perfumer is on the white label and it does preform above average for me and coincidentally i just wore it today and was surprised that you reviewed it the same day! As a tip your atomizer is leaking could be because the atomizer is not tight because it is a refillable and it screws simply if you turn it clock wise
Im wearing angel share right now, and I can 100% say I'd rather drop the $240 for angel share after buying a travel size. The smell and depth and profile are just amazing. I also really enjoy apple brandy smells like apple pie and boose lol.
Finally someone that agrees with me on this topic . I absolutely prefer the original all the time. Buying clones for me is a way to try the dna and if I like it I buy the original because the original is always a million times better than the clone. There’s no a perfect clone and no clone can replace the original .
In Asia, I'll say it's like comparing a open air wet market to a air-conditioned supermarket (Zara). It's still a market but the vibe is different. You get more umph in the wet market but you have to be used to that raw feel (beastly, loud) feel of shopping in a wet market vs the more comfortable relaxing feel of shopping in an air conditioned supermarket. Both serves its purpose but it boiks down to what makes you, the perfume wearer, comfortable, contented and relishing in your own scent bubble.
I love the smell of Sand Desert at Sunset, maybe even more than Khamrah, it seems smoother. The performance might get better as Zara keeps churning these out without time for maceration. It might be just wishful thinking tho...
You’re correct about maceration. Zara has their scents on the shel just a month or two after manufacture. I get better performance from Sand Desert than he mentions.

In Asia I can pretty easily get Khamrah, in a prominent local mall, for about usd19 And The Tux can be bought from a couple of local online sellers for about USD 37. So I guess availability/hype/taste/weather is just different in the US vs Asia.
As someone who worked at a zara (uk) last year at summer, can confirm they have some pretty decent clones of popular niche scents (aventus, br540, etc) which sold surprisingly well
Hey Ash. FYI…have a friend with family in Dubai. He recently asked them to try and find D&G The One Luminous Night. His family members went to 4 large well known stores in Dubai and were told repeatedly that it was a limited edition release, popularity was much bigger than expected, they could not keep up with production, and for now have stopped making it 😱. So “allegedly” it is currently not in production. I wonder if it will be the same for the other 2 in the line? Not what I wanted to hear. 😢
Had Sand Dessert At Sunset on one arm and Angels Share on the other. The Zara Perfune was very close to Angels Share. To me, more than Khamra. For me Khamra have nothing to do with Angels Share. Nit even close. Khamra is so gourmandy and thic, I don't like it. But the Zara Perfume I do really like, even withe the low performance factor. And it is the same perfumuer.
Bought this a few months ago on summer holiday. I see only people talking about it being a Angels' Share clone, to my nose it's way closer to le male le parfum, but that must be me. It last about 3 hours on me, with 10 cm projection for the first 30 min. Great scent though.
Zara Lisboa = Acqua di Gio edt, and lasts more Vibrant Leather = Creed Aventus and lasts same or more Energetically New York by Jo Malone = Le Labo Santal 33 and lasts the same: a lot Evening Safari Drive = Dyptique Tam Dao and lasts a lot more (but already discontinued)
I'm pretty stocked up with dupes of Angel's Share...Khamrah of course, Fire Your Desire, and Kismet Angel. Appreciate your take on a new one that smells great... but just doesn't do the work you expect.
I paid $28 for Khamrah fro Fragrancenet. I like both that and Sand Desert at Sunset but surprisingly, I get better performance from this Zara offering! I find the scent bubble of Sand Desert lasts longer for me than Khamrah, which is very strong for 3 hours. Even if you have a load of Zara’s near you and check their inventory locator, there’s no guarantee the store will have it, or there’s even someone there to ask about it, or it won’t have already been stolen/shoplifted. With numerous Zara’s around here in NYC, I still order online. I’m surprised it took you so long to find this one. Unlike the middle eastern clone houses, Zara uses name perfumers and probably more natural oils.
I like this and I picked up a bottle of Bouroj Silage which also smells nice. Since this is going the way of Layton (had Lalique White in Black and Detour Noir before purchasing the PDM), I won't be buying another clone. I'll just be getting the original and my father will benefit from one of the clone bottles I no longer need. lol
Got 2 Zara frags on today (one each hand) Sunset on the red dunes and Tender Amber (ludicrous name for a frag that smells like a bowl of fruit and nothing else). Both are still on my hands about 8 hours later, but OF COURSE they have NO projection at all, and never did from the get go. Zara frags are just NOT worth even the 'reasonable' price, as the price - performance ratio is garbage. They get you in the door with a frag that smells quite nice 'off the bat', you go and pay for it, then leave to regret buying yet another Zara frag to add to your collection of 'reasonably priced' still full bottles on your shelf. I just checked to see if this performed any better, and Ash confirmed the expected. Cheers Ash.

The performance on 2 apeays goes away qyickly but if you go for it will linger.i loce how this way tou xan conteol the volume if you wil. So it suits that particular need for me perfectly. I have Sunrise... Can't get this one out of my mind. Or Lush Vetiver. Khamrah is 50€ around here (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The Zara frags are 20€. They really like Tender Amber (Tiziana Terenzi Kirke clone) around here. Way too cloying for me. Can't find Majestic Black (Hamid Merati-Kashani's creation, designer of PdM Layton). Bummed about that. Those Morillas Ouds are a hard pass (ranging from extremely Western to complete toilet).
I bought a backup of that one. It’s a stunning frag. I know how Zara decides to out of the sudden stop selling fragrances and most of the time, they don’t come back.

40$ ?! it's so expensive. In Polish Zara it costs 100PLN so it's about 23-24$ and for about 40-45$ we can buy kamhar, so it's much easier to choose, get kamrah or for half the pice get the zara clone.
All due respect, this doesn't smell even remotely close to Angel's Share. I've had this fragrance for well over a month and it never even occurred to me that it might have been a clone of anything. That said, I don't think it's great. It's fine. It's a light summertime scent to me.
Problem I have with Zara fragrances … When I go on a shopping trip the fragrance stores are always the first store I visit . I pick out the ones I wanna try , spray and go about the rest of my business. That gives me enough time to figure the frag out and if I like it , I’ll go bk to the store and buy it before I go back to the motor. Every time I test the Zara frags they never seem to last on me ….EVER !! My mrs feels the same way also . I mean I know they are only reasonably priced and I shouldn’t expect to much but Zara frags … for me … 💩
IMO Desert is much closer to AS than Khamrah. I don't think Khamrah smells like AS at all. I'm smelling all of them as I write this. And I don't get what Ash is on about? It's obviously weaker. But one to one copy smell, Sand Desert is the closest I've smelled to AS, maybe except Angelic Elixir from DUA.
I needed to resell my Khamrah because I was getting sick of the heavy heavy sweetness after a while. Als reselled the Sand Desert At Sunset as well. Not because of performance issues but due to the scent itself. I kind of reminds me of a horse stable^^. Today I get the 3rd Clone by Khadlaj - La Fede Intoxicate. Hopefully this one works for me^^.

I have all three of these. And yes, Zara has the worst performance, However, it is around 10% of killian and about 50% less khamra....

All due respect, this doesn't smell even remotely close to Angel's Share. I've had this fragrance for well over a month and it never even occurred to me that it might have been a clone of anything.
That said, I don't think it's great. It's fine. It's a light summertime scent to me.

Problem I have with Zara fragrances …
When I go on a shopping trip the fragrance stores are always the first store I visit .
I pick out the ones I wanna try , spray and go about the rest of my business.
That gives me enough time to figure the frag out and if I like it , I’ll go bk to the store and buy it before I go back to the motor.
Every time I test the Zara frags they never seem to last on me ….EVER !!
My mrs feels the same way also .
I mean I know they are only reasonably priced and I shouldn’t expect to much but Zara frags … for me … 💩

Just got ISHQ AL SHUYUKH GOLD in and sure enough a leaky top. Very leaky. So I can confirm what Ash is saying about this getting worse 😅
IMO Desert is much closer to AS than Khamrah. I don't think Khamrah smells like AS at all. I'm smelling all of them as I write this. And I don't get what Ash is on about? It's obviously weaker. But one to one copy smell, Sand Desert is the closest I've smelled to AS, maybe except Angelic Elixir from DUA.

All Zara scents are very weak and last very little.
Not all of them are weak. For Him Red is reasonably strong in terms of both sillage and longevity.
I needed to resell my Khamrah because I was getting sick of the heavy heavy sweetness after a while. Als reselled the Sand Desert At Sunset as well. Not because of performance issues but due to the scent itself. I kind of reminds me of a horse stable^^. Today I get the 3rd Clone by Khadlaj - La Fede Intoxicate. Hopefully this one works for me^^.
