Back in the day, I put up an 80m half-square corner fed across the open end of Ohio Stadium. Flat top was probably 130' above the ground. This was after football season and in the dead of winter so nobody at OSU complained or even noticed and this was before the rework of the stadium when the ham club had to move. Best 80m antenna I've ever used. Working northern EU from Ohio at our sunrise, YB long path with 100 watts pileup buster. Amazingly simple wire antenna.

Another option, you could flip the antenna upside down, so that the horizontal portion is suspended just above the ground, and two verticals are held up by trees or poles - then you could get the 50 ohm connection at the ground level instead of up high

Instead of using a coax spiral as shokes, directly behind the transformer you better let 2-4m coax laying on the ground, an then doing the spiral shoke. Never less, better use a ferrite shoke with 2-4m coax laying on the ground between transformer and shoke. In fact, the radiator geometry makes a very big difference on the radiation pattern. And that's no secret and not new. Inverted V geometry is really not recommended. Inverted L is perfect for all around performance 40-20-15-10m. Inverted U shape make it more a DX performer on 15-10m. All over all the EFHW is a simple and good performer, probably the best for portable outdoor operations. Your SWR should be lower. A well tuned EFHW give a SWR of max 1.5 and lower on all appropriate EFHW bands. 73 👍👍
