2021 Can-Am Maverick X3 X RS Turbo RR with Smart-Shox First Look VS Polaris Turbo S Comparison

- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- Can-Am released their 2021 Maverick X3 X RS Turbo RR with Smart Shocks on June 30, 2020. Based on their 72' wide Maverick X3 X RX Turbo RR model, Smart Shocks adds four-wheel independent computer controlled suspension. Setting Can-Am Smart Shock setup apart is its ability to adjust both compression and rebound damping, with the competition featuring computer controlled compression damping only. With its closest competitor the Polaris RZR Turbo S featuring Dynamix Suspension technology, we break down how the horsepower, dimensions, suspension travel and design compare on the two SXS.

I wouldn’t own one for one reason. I’d be scared that somebody would ask what I ride and I’d have to take 20 mins to tell them the name of it.
Great vid and you’re starting to get the “On Demand” voice down perfectly
i guess it is kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Jericho Casey Try FlixZone. Just google for it =)
@Jaden Stefan Yea, been using FlixZone for years myself :D
@Jaden Stefan thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it !
@Jericho Casey Glad I could help :D
Too many words and letters for me on the Can Am machines... Lol..
And where do these prices stop..?
Great video.. 👍👍👍
Seem to like a lot to keep up with.
Good lord these prices are skyrocketing...I thought $16k OTD for my YXZ was a lot.
I bought a 19' Turbo 4S(Dynamix) in Feb, and don't run 4 people, the 4 seat was for a little more wheelbase to add stability to my desert only riding...I did look at the Can-Am at the time but for what I wanted the S4 fit my need...I do think Can-Am makes great UTV's and for styling the C/A looks awesome! The Dynamix works great and I use it all the time. I believe the 2021 model C/A with the Smart Shock system will outdo the RZR because it's an updated system and of course the addition of rebound adjustment....These types of systems are going to keep getting better as technology improves..The 2019 Raptor has it and the new RAM TRX will have something similar but a Bilstein based package... BUT all of us drivers get to enjoy better and better machines!!
Can't believe the comments about comparing this to the Pro XP! The X rs is 72" wide, the Pro XP is 64".. If CanAm put Smart-Shox on the 64" X ds, the Pro XP would be the comparison..
Yes, but horsepower is all some people think about. It doesn't affect where you can go like Dimensions but...
Exactly, someone always wants to compare apples to oranges...
Can am took a step in the right direction with the smart shox to keep up with Polaris. Now they just need something like ride command lol
The funny thing is we actually prefer the velocity addition Turbo S to the Dynamix version. The Walker Evans shocks are bitchin! Wouldn't be surprised to see something similar to ride command come out of Can-Am though. When one company creates a new standard, other people have to jump on board.
They need to look for DCT anything else is overrated
@@porroco dct is less reliable than a belt. I'd rather change a $150 belt every so often than have to replace a whole dct unit. Look at the talons, they're having problems with them and they only make 100 hp. Dct is overrated.
@@porroco it's mostly a matter of driver preference. We see nothing wrong with a well-tuned CVT. Banging through the gears with paddle shifters is great. But when it comes to an automatic transmission we think CVTs work a bit better.
Can am is superior over all.... I smoke rzrs on the trails everytime, love the can am x3
Prefer the Fox IQS suspension that you can electronically adjust yourself.
Love the comment on the Pro XP but as a owner of a 2020 RS1. Neither the Pro XP Ulimate Turbo S or can-am. Can't keep up on the mountain trails I ride on. ( flats yes but not on the curves) Oh and btw I'm a woman driving that RS1..lol. Btw boys the gas pedal is on the right 🤣🤣
Hell Yeah!
I was becoming a CanAm X3 fan (just love the look!!!) until I learned about all of the single sheer mounting points for suspension and control points. Look it up for yourself.....you'll adding about an additional $2k more minimum in parts (and a ton of work) just to get the long term reliability in the same neighborhood of the RZR. That has got me thinking twice about this Canadian UTV......C'mon CanAm....get it together!!!
I know a few guys with can ams that beat the balls out of them. Jumping, hard riding etc. no problems
LMAO! Every Polaris owner I know is replacing ball joints and bearings every 1000 miles. All of my Can-Am's have over 3500 miles and are like brand new. Do your research Jag hole!
@@M3OffRoad hahaha.....seems I hurt your feelings.....sorry for that!! (They have meds available, so you know.......) and I'll take your word for it, as I know for a fact you are "not" BIASED at all in your statement one bit......Mr. Can Am fan boy.....
Next time, try to make your argument just a tad bit more believable. I mean really c'mon man, "EVERY Polaris owner I know is replacing ball joints and bearings EVERY 1000 miles"......really???? hmmmmm
@@FreedomIsntFree2023 LOL very grown up reply. Yes, I have many friends with Polaris SXS, and they fall apart. Very good friends with the SXSBlog guys and all of their Polaris sxs's and our friends have motor issues, suspension issues... Do your homework. I love how Polaris people get so hurt and their go to comment is fan boy. Thanks you gave us all a good laugh!
Looking forward to the review
i ride sand dunes only and like to jump witch one would be the best for the dunes and jumping? thanks !
It's hard to say for sure without testing one and the only people who are claiming tests on them are paid Can-Am ambassadors.. We're pretty sure either would do a fine job. As we mentioned, computer controlled shocks are something we feel is best suited for beginner to intermediate level drivers with highly skilled drivers still preferring standard, adjustable shocks.
I am a little biased for cam am, and I don’t like the ways an rzr looks it looks like it was smooshed then stretched
Why are you not comparing it to the xp pro. Cant compare can ams top model to polaris few steps down from top model
The pro XP is not 72 in wide. The Can-Am is. Just because the pro XP is newer does not mean it is the most comparable unit.
The Pro xp is not the top model by far lol.
The turbo s dynamix is polaris' top model. Just bc it has a higher price tag doesnt mean its their top model lol. A 4 seater general xp is way more $ than a turbo s doesn't make it their top model lol....
@@scored5 the 2 seat pro Xp is the most expensive the 4 seat turbo s is the most expensive
Just ordered my x3 max, but I didn't get the smart shox.
Congrats on the new machine!!!
Just ordered one!
Congratulations! Come back and tell us how you like it in case you get to drive yours before we can get our hands on one.
Armando Sturzenegger he gave up his leg and 6 fingers
Uhh..no XP Pro available? That would be Polaris newest machine.
It's not 72" wide like the Can-Am, different class.
Neither of those machines called my wallet. The road has changed for DCT not for more HP and bigger suspension. Bigger suspension only has one market and one country california for their deserts
There is a lot of Truth in what you're saying. A RZR XP 1000 has all the horsepower and the suspension travel we really need here in the Midwest. Where we are based here in Ohio a RZR S 1000 or Maverick sport are just about perfect. We could also see wanting more suspension travel if we were going to race short course but how many people do that? But there are those people who will simply buy it because it is the most expensive thing on the market and it's newer than their friends. For the West coasters here's betting it's pretty awesome.
Why are you comparing a 2021 car to a 2019 car? Polaris does have a new car called the Pro...
Well that's easy.. These are the 72" sxss that have comparable suspension numbers. Since this update was based on suspension it makes the most sense to compare it to the closest in class competition.
Also the turbo s dynamix is the best model polaris has right now! Just bc the pro xp is more $$ doesn't mean its the top model at all
One looks like a John Deere, the other doesn't. Done and done.
I like can am more
If u want to see the lighting available for this Can-Am Check out this vid I think it'll help u guys out ua-cam.com/video/ogRqjJVQPnQ/v-deo.html
